Love Struck Delusion

Chapter 303 - A new end.

Zeta's POV.

"What?" He asked me back in shock as I nodded my head happily to reply.

"I'm pregnant."

With tears running down my face, I watched along with Marx as Raptor stumbled a foot backwards. He nearly tripped as he did and the clipboard he actually dropped. At the same time he caught his balance to ask me again.

"What? You're pregnant?"

"Yes!" I replied back in joy as his body began to shake even more.

"Congratulations Raptor." Marx said as I added out of my pure excitement to the news.

"Looks like you really were lucky!"

The look on his face meant everything in the world to me at this moment. It showed me just how deep down he wanted this to happen. How badly he wanted to try again. Wanting to push his buttons further I asked him.

"Are you just going to stand there or are you going to say something?!"

In an instant the man ran into my arms with so much force he nearly tackled me onto the bed I was sitting on. At the same time he cried.

"I don't fucking believe it!"

Laughing with him in my arms I replied as Marx picked up the clipboard.

"Well believe it! We're going to have a baby!"

Everyone began to cheer and or clap as Raptor kissed me deeply on the lips. Of course I kissed back but that wasn't my concern. I just wanted to see his face again. I wanted to remember the happiness this brought him. With Marx getting down right in front of us, we both listened as he explained what was going to happen from this point going forward.

"And that means for the next nine months you're going to take it easy Zeta. No roughhousing, no sparring, and absolutely no firefights. Even with your sister."

I started to laugh as he went on to announce.

"Depending on how he or she develops, I'll be able to tell you what gender they are within ten to fifteen weeks from now. That includes the species. So place bets now on what you think you got coming."

"Well what do you think it'll be Marx?" I asked the cat who quickly replied back with confidence.

"A girl. That's what I think. Of course this is all up in the air till later, but I'd be willing to bet she's going to be a hedgehog. Just based off of Raptor's past. But who knows? It could go either way."

With my sister coming up to us she told us bluntly.

"It's going to be a boy! I'm calling it now! And he's going to be a wolf! He'll probably have your colors Raptor! Maybe he'll have your eyes too Zeta!"

"Maybe!" I replied back as she took me into another deep hug. My crying had brought her to tears as well. We were both so happy to find this out. What Raptor and I thought would take months or even years, we got on our first actual try. The chances of that are well below two percent. I don't know how we rolled this number but I didn't fucking care. I was going to be a mom.

With Pep letting me go she widened her eyes to question.

"We're celebrating right!? There isn't any fucking way we're not!"

My eyes went back to Raptor who still couldn't put himself back together. He was so emotional right now that he couldn't even bother to answer her concern. So looking over to Hoffer who was next to Char I asked again.

"Do you mind if I steal this guy from you for tonight General?"

WIth a smile of his own plastered across his face Hoffer glanced over to Hecan who calmly replied.

"I think the answer should be obvious."

Hoffer nodded to the facts and once his eyes locked back onto mine he urged us both.

"Be my guest. After all this is a miracle we're living in. Go out and celebrate. Everyone here can consider themselves dismissed for the rest of the day. Spend it how you want, just remember to keep it clean."

"Thank you Hoffer." Raptor said back with a voice resembling the amount of excitement he was currently in. With Hoffer giving him a nod as his thanks for saying that, I looked back at my sister as she shouted to me.

"We're going out! We need to have a party to celebrate this! Does anyone know of a good place?!"

With Roz giving her two or three good options, she waited to see if anyone else had a suggestion. Getting not many back she turned back to face Raptor and I to ask.

"What do you guys want to do?!"

Looking back at Raptor I whispered to him as he was wiping his face with his arm.

"You made him a promise."

Chuckling after that Raptor nodded his head to reply.

"I know I did. And when given the chance to celebrate something like this, I wanted it to be somewhere I felt safe. A place I knew I loved and that just so happened to be filled with all kinds of supporting characters. But most importantly a big bear I loved like a dad. I want to go to Ron's. Is that okay?"

Pepper was just hype that I decided on a place. So with her voice going crazy from the excitement she said back.

"That's fine! Let's just go get this shit moving! We're going all night!"

With Marx still being the doctor in the room, he made sure to intervene and beg my sister.

"She's not supposed to be drinking. You can have one or two Zeta, but I need you Pepper to control her and to isolate the urges to force her into going too deep now that she's pregnant."

"She's going to be fine!"

Reaching out to grab Marx by his right wrist, I got his attention back on me and told him truthfully.

"One drink is fine Marx."

He could tell I was being serious with that response so he kindly smiled and replied.

"Thank you. But please be careful."

"We will!" Pepper shouted as she jumped in to grab me by the hands. Pulling me up off the bed she urged everyone who was listening.

"Let's get going! Come on Raptor!"

Offering him my other hand, he smiled and stood up from the bed. Dragging him into my side, I began to laugh to myself as Pepper was so excited she couldn't stay with us. She ran ahead as everyone else congratulated us and followed along. With my attention shifting back to Raptor I asked him as we were being approached by Hecan.

"How'd it go? I know you just had the big meeting. Did Pepper interrupt you before you could make a choice?"

That got him to chuckle and with Hecan now walking alongside him Raptor replied.

"I want to do it. For at least this first term. I just can't….?" Cutting him off with another kiss, I urged him calmly.

"You don't have to explain it. I told you I'd let you make the choice."

Raptor seemed in awe from my emotion. With my hand still attached to his I gently stopped us just before the exit to medical. Hecan held up and listened to us as I took a moment to look back the way we came.

With Roz and Char holding the doors for us, they waited as I mustered the courage to beg Raptor.

"Just promise me that this family comes first. I don't want to lose you to another war or some political bullshit. I'm Russian and as you know I'm fair. I cant take a lot of punishment. But I can only take it for so long once it starts. When this baby is born I need to know you'll be there. Not just for the first step, but all of them. They'll need a father. So promise me right now that you'll be that for them."

With Raptor completely taken by the request, I waited with wet eyes as he leaned in close while taking both my hands. Holding them together with his own I stared into his eyes as he replied.

"This family will always come first. I swear to you I'm going to be different. I don't want to be like my dad. Even though his intentions were good. I still understand what neglect can do to a child who is only seeking attention."

"Raptor?" I mumbled through my own happiness. Squeezing my hands he directly promised me.

"I'm going to be the father of your child. I promise."

I could only cry and lean my head back into his. Giving him one more soft kiss I pulled back to laugh as he reached up to wipe my face with his hand. Before I let him go however Hecan reached up to grab him by the shoulder. Raptor turned back to face him and with a smile still on his face Hecan stated with confidence.

"You're going to be great father Raptor. You deserve this. You too Zeta. I'm excited for the two of you."

"Thank you." Raptor replied in awe the fox would come forth and say that.

"Come on guys!"

The three of us turned back around to find Pepper standing by the main exit waving us over. Looking back at my boyfriend I told him.

"Let's not keep her waiting much longer."

He just nodded and with that in mind I began to walk away. Leaving Raptor's side as my sister was just getting louder by the second.

Raptor's POV.

With Zeta walking away, I refocused on Hecan who I sensed had more to say. Losing his smile he took a step into my body. Leaning over my shoulder and towards my ear he whispered.

"You ever need anything. I want you to know that you can come to me for it. Times are still hard around here and after what you've done for me I want to be sure I repay you somehow. Even if it takes years."

"Hecan?" I mumbled back in confusion as he put a hand on my left arm. Squeezing me by the forearm he completely switched subjects by telling me.

"I have a few people looking into Zeta and Pepper's boogieman. As of right now we know he's with the Chinese military still being held for questioning regarding his involvement in the bombing and that's a fact. They've cracked a good deal of information out of him from what I've been told and I know for a fact now that he sold those girls out for his life."

Char and Roz were both still looking at him as he finished his whisper by telling me.

"Zeak's putting together the pieces and he's doing it in a way that spares his life from ending. He's willing to talk to anyone who has an interest so long as he's guaranteed his safety. The military won't get much more out of him because they can't take the risk of being caught aiding a terrorist. Nothing's official yet, but there is a good chance a PMC might take him and that would most definitely be Ying's. Especially now that Ying himself is gone. His second in command will go over the books and eventually he'll come around to what happened here with you. I'm not saying it's going to be anytime soon, but I'd be careful now that your going to be a father. The last thing I want to see is you or Zeta getting killed over this guy."

Looking him back in his eyes I asked him in confusion.

"What should I do then?"

Patting my side he replied.

"For now? Go out and celebrate your baby. We can talk another time about this. Okay?"

Nodding my head I accepted that and gave him one more hug before stating.

"I'm grateful. I really am. You're a good man Hecan."

The most powerful man in the world actually wasn't ready to hear that. Keeping him close, I leaned into his side to whisper something I felt deep in my heart.

"You're a good man. I wish my father would have seen that when he was still alive. Cause if he did there might have been a chance for all this fighting to be sidestepped. He might even still be here if that was the case. I'm sorry it took me this long and this many tries to see that for myself. I can't ever bring back the people I've hurt during this life because of my inability to see reason. It took three families…...my mom…..my dad…...my sister….my brother. It took Julie and Alicia away from me and all three of my kids. I won't ever forgive myself for letting it happen, but I am glad I'm here now to see this. I'm proud to have Zeta and her sister. I'm excited to have another baby and for the life of me Hecan I thought it would take months to have this happen. I plan to be everything I can to this child. I plan to be the best husband I can to a woman I don't believe I truly deserve. I'm going to fix this place. The middle east will get better and in time we'll be something greater than we are now and that's thanks to you."

Hecan was completely stunned by my words. I could tell he was even shocked to hear me say any of that. Which made it easier to walk away. Char and Roz slowly shut the doors as I walked by and went back to chasing Zeta. However with both of my brothers at my side I listened as they said to me.

"Congratulations Raptor."

"I can't believe you're going to have another kid."

Smiling at their words I replied.

"I can't believe this is even real. I never expected we'd be that compatible. She's pregnant? Do you believe that? It's never supposed to be this easy."

"Well if you ask me Raptor, I'd call it luck." Roz informed me as I agreed completely as we stepped outside. With Char maybe a foot out as we saw Pepper getting everyone filed into a truck, I listened as he asked me.

"Can I ask you for a favor?"

Looking over to him I replied.

"Of course it's okay Char."

The wolf gave off a slight chuckle as he then wondered aloud.

"Do you mind if I invite someone to come celebrate with us? She's my….well you know."

Stopping as we reached the trucks, I took a moment to ask him a question before answering his own.

"You're seeing someone? What's their name? How long have you been together?"

With Zeta coming up to our small little group, we both listened as Char replied.

"Her name is Luna. We met last month at Ron's ironically. This was back when you were still in the coma. We just hit it off right and after getting to know her a bit better I have a strong feeling she could be the one for me. The one I desperately needed for that matter. So is it okay if she comes?"

Nodding my head and getting ready to say yes, I broke my speech halfway when Zeta replied.

"Of course it's okay Char."

For a brief moment Char and I locked eyes. We both had this look on our faces that explain how we took the answer she just said out loud. Of course she was caught off guard and asked.

"What?"

Char just chucked and while taking a step back he replied while pointing at me.

"Compatible huh? That's priceless."

I just carefully laughed as he was now clearly trying to run.

"Just go get her and meet us there. If she's your girl, I won't prevent you from showing me off to her. Just make sure she's on her best behavior!"

"She will be!"

Now left with Zeta, I asked her quietly so not to draw attention.

"Are you really going to have only one drink?"

Nodding her held as fast as she could she replied.

"One is all I need. I'm not taking any chances with this baby. Pepper will groan but I'm serious. Not risking anything."

She was telling the truth. I didn't have to question her intentions. I knew what this meant to her. Grabbing my hand she went on to urge me.

"Trust me. Come on."

Taking me into one of the few open trucks, I found our driver to be Marhick. Freemen and Vacus also tagged with us as we began to exit the courtyard. With Zeta sitting right next to me, she still held my hand. After looking back at her with a big smile, I took a look at her stomach. It was crazy to believe.
