Snore

Summary: Petra tells Levi something he never knew about himself.
He woke before she did. It was the first time they had shared a bed together. Levi felt a strange sense of calm settle over him as he watched her sleep. Petra looked so tranquil, so comfortable sleeping beside him. He didn't know why but it just made him so happy to know that.
He watched her for a while, thinking about their budding relationship. Levi had been nervous, never having dated anyone before. But so far he liked the personal time they had spent together and she also obviously had liked being with him, too. Which was a relief because he had worried that once she got to know him in a more personal way, she would realize she'd made a mistake and leave him.
Petra inhaled noticeably before she opened her eyes. She smiled at him. That sleepily smile immediately became one of his favorite smiles on her. "Morning," she said. "How'd you sleep?"
Levi wasn't one for physical contact, even comforting gestures like a pat on the shoulder or a hug made him uncomfortable and awkward. Slowly he'd opened himself to her touching him and she'd been worried she might accidentally smack him or kick him in the middle of the night—although she had also said she never done that—and ruin his sleep. "I slept fine," he told her.
She closed her eyes. "Mmm." Then, she opened her eyes and added, "You know you snore?"
That was news to him. "What? I do?"
"Yes."
"Huh." Levi had not ever thought himself the snoring type. He linked it with people who slept well and deeply. "I used to share a room with Farlan and Isabel sometimes when we couldn't heat up the entire apartment. Isabel was the snorer. And a loud one, too."
Petra chuckled. "Probably why they didn't notice."
"It didn't bother you, did it?"
"No. You don't snore a lot. And it's pretty quiet."
Levi moved his head in to brush a kiss against her lips. "You should get up now." She made a face. "You promised to help Four-Eyes bright and early."
"Regretting that now," she mumbled. With a groan, she left the bed.
I snore, Levi thought, staring at the ceiling, hands behind his head. He wondered what else he would discover about himself by being with Petra.
