Zach and Grace were at Peter's this whole week. Alicia poured herself a glass of wine and sat down at the kitchen. A sense of loneliness crept up on her.

This is what I wanted, right? My own firm, some distance from Will, good relationship with Peter, happy family, being a good wife and good mother… right?

The truth is, she hadn't thought of her biggest fear when she decided to leave L/G – What if I could never see Will again? This feud goes on and on, until one day he is sick of it, and moved on, what would I do then? He cuts the tie and we lose contact, then maybe 10 years later bump into him on the street, and find him married someone else, has kids and has a happy life without me? Is this what I want?

Her eyes turned glassy. Peter asked her about renewing their vows in Hawaii again last week. She pretended to be busy and told him she doesn't have time to take a trip right now. "Maybe later." she told him. Later? Could it be Never? She blinked away the tears that is rolling down her cheek.

She was on her third glass of wine when she heard a knock on her door. Who could it be at this late hour? Would it be Zach or Grace forgetting their books or something? But they have keys.. She looked like a mess – little tipsy from the alcohol, the crying messed up her make up, she was exhausted.

She opened the door.

"Hi." Will's voice was so low it sounded like a whisper.

She was shocked, and terrified, and surprised, all the emotion at once. She raised her eyebrows and her mouth hung slightly opened. She was too shocked so say anything.

"I…. I am here to apologize… for this morning." Will said quietly.

She was still speechless. She was too terrified to say anything, or move, as if her breathing had stopped.

Will was too shy to maintain eye contact with her. He looked at his feet when he explained.

"They told me Klepper was leaving L/G, someone else had poached him. I just automatically assumed it was you, and yelled at you before I even found out what happened. I crossed the line, I apologize."

Alicia sighed quietly. She hadn't felt this relief for a long time. They remained silent for a while.

He continued. "I heard that you ripped Wilk Hobson apart. Thank you."

Alicia offered a small smile. "Did it work?" she asked.

"Yes, he came back."

She nodded her head to tell him that she's glad.

The silence resumed.

"Anyway…" Will whispered. "Good night" He turned around and starting to walk away.

Alicia wanted to throw herself onto him, she wanted to grab his hand and tell him not to leave, she wanted to kiss him, she wanted to cup his face. Instead, she said "Will."

Will turned back to her.

"Want a drink?" She asked shyly. He smiled, and nodded. "Sure."
