Summary: Some bad guy returns to attack Fairy Tail and does the same thing the Thunder Legion did but a whole lot worse. What is to come of our favorite and only #1 guild in Fiore?

"Are you sure you want to hear this story? It's not the nicest you know." a 40 year old man said to his teen kids. "Yes papa! Tell us." his daughter said. "Alright, well, this is only based on what I was told. I don't remember what happened myself." he said to his kids. When they all sat down, he began.
Natsu's POV:
This might be one of the only times I will ever admit I am truly afraid of Fairy Tail's future. I continued to look at our crushed guild hall, with no telling how many mages stuck under it all. I could see a hand with cards in it sticking out. I almost threw up understanding quickly who it had to be. I could see and smell lots of our guild mates blood and bodies. Half if not more of my family is gone.
I look up in the sky where these explosion lacrimas, and another lacrima that is letting out an echo type of magic that is destroying buildings and damaging us by sending us flying. It's already wiped out most of Magnolia. These..monsters have already killed most of this city. Those of us, who are still alive, are trying to fight back, but it's like they have repellent magic. It also doesn't help we just got back from the GMG, meaning lots of our magic is low. I looked back in front of me where 3 guys were waiting for me to attack. "Fire Dragon...ROAR!" I let out a roar that was as powerful as I could give.
I waited staring ahead for the fire to clear, as my vision was getting blurry from exhaustion of magic. I stared in disbelief as the fire and smoke finally cleared. They were standing there, and smiling. They were smiling at our friends and family's death! They were smiling at our suffering! They were smiling at our pain..at our torment. They were happy that we have lost many. I couldn't give up! I have to fight for my friends! For my family.
"You just made a BIG mistake! We don't take harm coming to our family and friends easily! We will make you suffer!" I snarled at them as I raised my wrist ready to do my famous Fire Dragon Iron Fist. They each looked at each other then looked back at me, still smirking. However, I wouldn't let that phase me. They were going down. They were going to pay for what they did to our guild, to our family, and to our city. This is not just us trying to protect the city anymore, it's also us trying to get revenge for our friends. I attempted to give a glare that they would never forget as I charged at them ready to attack. I was almost there when one of them disappeared so fast even I couldn't keep up. Darn it...where did he go? I couldn't think too much about it as I started to yell; "Fire Dragon Iron Fist!" I shout as I almost hit them, only to..stop? A hand was holding my wrist back, and my fire was put out. It is the guy who disappeared! He gave me a smirk before he flipped me and shoved me into the ground with a boost of his power. It felt like I was suffocating.
"Are you really Fairy Tail's famous Salamander? Ha, what a joke!" one of his comrades laughed as he spit on me. They're not even using that much magic. How am I being defeated so easily? I couldn't help but think where did I go wrong? These guys were barely using magic, and here I am stuck under them. While some of my family is hurt...or worse. I couldn't bear to think of the latter. "Well, you might as well say goodbye to your little...friends. They won't be around much longer after you go, so don't worry about it too much." the one holding me down said. I couldn't go down like this. I just can't.
I was fixing to jump up when a surprisingly familiar yell filled my ears. I turned my head to the left as soon as I heard it and saw one of my most hated nightmares. My best bud, the one who has been with me since I was a little boy, was on the ground with a dark kind of magic coming from his stomach. "HAPPY!" I yelled desperately, trying to get up to get to him, however, the guy above me just shoved his foot on me more to keep me down. "Let go of me!" I yelled as I set my body on fire so I could get away.
They were surprised and let me go for a second, but it was a second that I took to escape and get to my best friend. I did a kick to their knees causing them to fall while I got up and made a run to my friend, who's like a son to me. I could see and hear Wendy and Charle crying; and that's when I remembered that Happy was trying to protect them. No wonder they are crying so bad..I couldn't help but just hold Happy in my hands. He's gone, and there's nothing I can do about it! I couldn't stop the tears that were now freely rolling down my cheek, I didn't even try to hide them.
I could still hear the battle, though barely. It's like it was miles away. I couldn't even focus on anything but my buddy in my arms. I felt a boot stab into my back as to push me to the ground. I felt the ground hit my body, but all I could focus on was keeping Happy safe from anymore harm. That's the last thing he needs. I could feel their power bursts into me, I could feel my body take damage, I could feel my body losing magic power, and I could feel my life slowly being taken from me. But I never made a sound, and I never moved. I just let them hit me all they want. I would protect my family, I had too. I could see Wendy reaching to help me but she was also out of power it seemed. I tried to smile to tell her it was okay, but I don't think it came out right. It felt more like a grimace than anything.
That's when I started to notice the damage done on her and Charle. Charle..lost a wing, had a wound that seemed to go through her leg on both sides. Wendy seemed to be in worse condition than Charle though. Her hair was cut, her body was covered in blood, a few bones broke, and she looked pale from magic loss. This is what they are doing to us.. I let out a whine of pain as I felt a punch in my rib. Pretty sure it's broken. I have to fight back. I tried to stand once again, but it's like I was stuck there. I couldn't move, I couldn't summon power, I couldn't even talk or blink. It was like they froze me, but I was still in a state where I could witness and feel what was happening. It was very painful. I could see Wendy reach out for me but I have no clue what happened after that. It's like I just blacked out.
When I awoke again, I was alone. The war was still happening, but nobody was near me. I started to get up when I noticed two familiar figures to the side of me. A girl with blue hair, and a white cat lying there with a pool of blood around them. I stared in horror of what had come of my friends. They would do this...to a little girl, no older than 15? They were sick, and they would pay. I carefully moved Wendy in an area where grass was tall and full so she wouldn't be damaged anymore, as well as move Happy and Charle. I'm so sorry. I will get revenge for you.
With new determination, I walked on to where I could smell the lingering scent of Wendy's blood. Whatever weapon they killed her with, had not been cleaned yet; and I would get revenge for my friends. These guys WILL suffer. I went further into town where I noticed the same trio from earlier setting buildings on fire. They were using my element to their advantage. Too bad for them, that I could eat fire. I started to attempt to sucking up all the fire I could to refuel my magic power, except for a strange reason, the fire wasn't coming. "Hello, Salamander. I see you have awoken. Did you like your surprise?" I heard a voice behind me speak. I turned around only to be faced with the three dark mages from earlier. "You guys will pay for this!" I yelled as I charged at them.
Lucy's POV:
Once again, us Fairy Tail mages are stuck in a war or a battle. Though..this one is not looking the best for us. Currently I am guarding Levy and trying to make sure nothing happens to her or her child. Gajeel left me in charge of her while he went out to fight; although we have not heard nor seen him since. We've come across many of our family member's bodies...some we couldn't even identify, but we knew it was them because it was under the Fairy Tail bricks. They attacked us not long after we got back from my 3rd GMG, and most of the members were inside when they made the building collapse. Some lived and are fighting while others..were not so lucky. I could feel my tears coming every time we found a new body. Levy was unstable currently, and since her son is only a year and a half old, I have to make sure nothing happens to her.
I kept trying to keep her from looking at the bodies, but she didn't even have to look to know why I would always turn in a different direction suddenly. So far, we have come across 47 guild members bodies that we could identify, and about 15 that we can not identify. I could still feel the tears falling down my face. It's not fair..why our guild?! WHY OF ALL GUILDS WAS IT OURS?! I was fixing to collapse if it wasn't for Levy's terrified scream. Thinking someone was fixing to attack us I turned around in a hurry, only to see that was not the case at all. We have finally found out why Gajeel never came back...I had to turn away from it all before I threw up. Levy handed me their son as she ran over to Gajeel. I looked down at Gaje and could see his confused eyes. He is young, he does not need to see this yet. I hugged him tight to me as I tried to cover his view from much. He didn't need to see his father in that condition.
Gajeel had no left leg now, and his face was..half there. It was like the right side of his face was burned off or something. His hair was now short, and there was so much blood around him. We might not have been close, but he was still a family member just like anyone else. Gaje started crying as he heard Levy cry and felt me crying; again, I couldn't help it. I have lost more than half of my family. It hurt, so much. Knowing I would never see them again because they had to leave the world cruelly and with no warning.
I was so caught up in thinking about my dead friends and family, I never knew we were getting surrounded until I heard Levy scream again. I turned around as fast as I could only to see someone holding Levy with a sword to her throat, before she somehow got away. How can she move that fast?! I grabbed my keys and called for Loke to come, while I grabbed my whip. It would be difficult to fight holding Gaje, but I had to. I can't see another comrade die, I just couldn't. There were about 6 guys here. Two were trying to fight Levy, while four were on me and Loke. We were fighting, back to back that is.
I had eventually called Aries to have her try to protect Gaje while I was attacking with the others, only problem was it had drained my magic energy even more than before. I heard a scream from behind me and after a quick look it was like I could not move at all. "LEVY!" I screamed loudly and tried to race forward. The only thing stopping me was Aries standing in my way with Gaje still in her arms. I can't go around her. We're blocked by enemies on those sides. "Aries, please! Let me get to her!"I screeched as I tried again to get to Levy. "I'm sorry Lucy, but I can't allow that. You can clearly see what's become of her..and we have to be near Gaje." She replied and looked away from Levy's body. I looked over once again to see if what I saw happen is reality, and to my disappointment, it is. There Levy..laid, her neck slashed, her body beat up, and a sword through her stomach. How did they do that in one quick moment?! They would be hard to beat, but we have to beat them
This time, we were surrounded by more, as we also now have Levy's opponents. Aries was being defense, while me and Loke attacked. I could feel my vision becoming blurry, but I couldn't stop now. Not after what they did to my family, to our guild, and to our city. We will fight back! Until one of us loses or backs down! With that in mind I found 10 times harder, all for my family. Me and Loke almost had them down, before we were ambushed. There was more hiding in the ruble, and I was out of magic power almost. "Lucy, for now, we have to run. We have no choice if we want to continue living. We will fight back, but let's focus on getting your magic power up." Loke says as he grabs a hold of my arm and we ran. I made sure that Aries and Gaje were always out of hit view, I couldn't risk them getting hurt.
We wound up running even further into the city and soon I noticed the smell of smoke and I could see fire rising from above any standing buildings. Is that Natsu, or just a normal fire? I wasn't too sure and couldn't exactly find out as I am currently running for my life, Gaje's life, and my spirits life. We finally got to a building and lost sight of them as we snuck in. "They'll figure it out soon, but we can get a small amount of rest." Loke said as he left then reappeared in his magic. Aries handed me Gaje as she covered the entrance areas to the door for extra coverage. I looked at Gaje and could see his terrified yet curious eyes looking at me. "I'm so sorry...I'm so very sorry." I sobbed to him as I hugged him closer. "You just lost both of your parents...because of this war. You lost your mom because of me.." I whispered to him as I continued sobbing and hugging him. I could feel both Aries and Loke's eyes on me as I held Gaje, but neither spoke.
Gaje didn't have a clue that he wouldn't see them again. He's too young to understand. I felt a pull at my hair and gave out a hiss of pain at where Gaje pulled. "Nuh-uh, no pulling my hair." I warned as I pulled my hair out of his hands and wiped my tears. I heard a crash against the walls and could hear yelling from where Aries put up her defenses. "They already found out!" I whispered yelled as I handed Gaje over to Aries. "Listen, as soon as we get a clear path, run. Take him far away, find a safe space, and stay with him." I told Aries and she nodded. That was the last thing I said before they broke down the door and the fight began once more.
Me and Loke were trying to fight them, though it was now harder without Aries defense techniques. I saw her run out after they all got distracted by us, now just to hope she makes it where she's going safely. We had taken down 1 out of the 7 guys. Though..I only see 5 at the moment. Where did the other guy go? Though I couldn't worry about that as I was going 1 on 1 with somebody. I can't take much more of it though, I feel like I will pass out from exhaustion anytime now. Just as I thought of that I felt my knees give out on me. No! It was too late, I was on the ground in front of many enemies and with no strength to get back up. I looked up to see 2 guys over me. Before I could observe much more, I was getting kicked around. Is this really the sad ending of Fairy Tail? Is there really no more hope for us? That is what I kept thinking while I was getting beaten up. Of course, by now, Loke had noticed and was trying to get to me. Sadly, there were 4 standing in his way. "LUCY!" I heard Loke yell. I look up only to see a sword coming right at my head.
Natsu's POV:
I felt so drained. No matter what I do, I can't lay a mark or scratch on them. I've tried almost everything, and with no fuel on magic, I'm running out and everything is just looking..blurry and foggy? I knew it wasn't a good thing, but I had to keep fighting for the sake of everyone else's sake. I stopped to take a deep breath, only to start gagging. So much blood..I could smell lots of blood. However, that's not what got me so concerned. I smelt Lucy and blood. Somethings wrong, but I can't find a way out to check. I'm surrounded! What am I supposed to do?! "How many of my comrades must you kill before you stop?!" I yell as I dodged a hit. One of them looked over and summoned a type of black magic in their palm. "Until we get you all." he replied as he allowed his spell to take form. I couldn't dodge the beam that rose under me and I felt a major power drop after that hit. I have to get away. At least for a bit.
I kept trying to find a way out, but I couldn't. Every time I found a path, they would block it or use an attack. If I could only get some fire then I could fight them! I had a plan, if I could distract them, even for a second, I could make a run for it and hideout in a building to regain some energy and try to get some fire. I started to throw some punches, without fire. It shocked them for a bit, long enough to let me let out my roar. "Fire Dragon...ROAR!" I yelled as I cupped my mouth to direct the fire at them. They couldn't block it, so they did get hit. However I knew they had tricks up their sleeves. They'll be fine except for burns. But, now's my time to leave. I should at least try to meet up with someone so we can fight with each other.
I turned around and ran to the closest building I could. I can find other buildings going around here. I went out a window and went to the next closest building. Not realizing what I would see. I hopped through the window just as a yell from someone said, "LUCY!". I turned my head to the side quick enough to see someone standing over Lucy with a sword coming at her. No..I ran as quick as I could, but I couldn't make it. I watched as the sword went into her head and her eyes rolled back. I could see Loke shimmer away as he tried to reach Lucy. "LUCY!" I shouted as I ran to her, not even paying attention to any of the enemies. I didn't know what to do. There's a sword in her head. What do I do? I can't stand seeing it in her, but if I move it..I couldn't stand that thought either.
Why is everyone I love or care for dying?! It's not fair! We're Fairy Tail! We're supposed to be fighting and winning. I finally turned around to face the opponents that killed everyone precious to me. "All of my family is gone because of you! EVERYONE I CARED FOR!" I yelled as I stood up. They didn't even seem fazed by me. "It's the price that had to be paid. Don't worry, you'll be joining them soon." one of them replied as he let out a chuckle. I glared at him. As I looked around I saw that they were all smirking. I'll wipe those smiles right off your faces.
I had taken down 3, so there are 3 more left. It seems Lucy had taken one down earlier. It has been an hour, and I am really low on energy, I'm not too sure how much longer I will last. It's getting hard to summon fire now, and I feel like I will fall asleep any moment now. I was fixing to attack again before I was pushed down from my back. I turned my head slightly and almost passed out at what I saw. Great, now I have 13 to fight! There's no way I can win. The 2 from earlier found me again, and has found backup it seems. This isn't good. I can't win this way. I saw them all get in a stance and I couldn't move, again. One of them has to have a spell that freezes me! I can't move at all. Next thing I noticed was a dark cloud of magic coming at me, and that's the last thing I noticed before I was devoured in pain, and then I "fell asleep".
Current Time:
I finished telling them the story, and looked up with tears in my eyes and saw they all had tears themselves. "And, that's how our ancestors, how Fairy Tail ended." I told them as I gathered my youngest in my arms, well she's 13, but you know what I mean. My wife walked into the room and looked at us. "Come on Gaje, it's time to eat." she said as she helped our other 2 up and walked to the dining room. "Coming Aska." I said as I stood up and we all sat down to eat.
