(A/N: Whew! Hey guys! It's been a while. So, out of boredom, here I am writing a new fic! Now everyone knows I'm a sasusaku/naruhina stan, but here I am writing a story about their kids. Lately I've been in love with this BoruSara ship so here I am writing my fill. Hope you guys enjoy!)

"Oh you have got to be shitting me" Sarada sighed at her computer screen.

Hello Sarada,

I apologize for the inconvenience and short notice, but I am assigning you to the football team. To the best of your ability, I would like you to oversee practices and clinics and tend to the player's injuries. Cho-cho and I will be assisting you on games per usual, but with our seniors graduating, I need someone to fill in.

Thank you!

Ino- Sensei

She rubbed her eyes at the computer screen. She knew what she was getting into when she took Konoha High School's specialized medical program, but she never thought it would land her on being an athletic trainer for the football team.

Buzz Buzz

"Oh hey Cho-cho!"

"Hey girl! Did you get an email from Ino-sensei? I got assigned to the cross country team!" She could hear her friend huff over the phone.

"Who knows how many shin splints you'll have to tape up." Sarada chuckled.

"What team did you get assigned to?"

"...the football team." Sarada physically flinched as she heard Cho-cho squeal through the phone.

"Girl! You are soooo lucky. I wish I could oversee their practices! Those muscly sweaty arms… and the abs! Oh the abs!"

"Oh please, what do I look like taping up some sweaty and stinky football players? But hey, at least we go to games together."

"Hmm… maybe you should dress down at games and share some of the spotlight. We both know all the boys'll be staring at Ms. Sarada Uchiha." Sarada could practically hear Cho's smirk through the phone.

"Oh whateverrr,"

"Hey, isn't Boruto on the football team?"

Sarada rolled her eyes at just the mention of his name, "Pfft yeah, he's always keeping my dad late for dinner for football conditioning."

"For knowing each other since, basically birth, you two do not get along."

Sarada snorted, "And there's a reason for that, that imbecile. I gotta get ready for bed though, morning coffee tomorrow?"

"You know it!" And with that, the girls hung up.

Sarada was one of the most known people throughout the town and in KHS. Some of it being because her dad is the football coach of a championship-winning team and because her mom is an award winning doctor. She, however, did not let that define her. She worked hard, committing to over 4 clubs -president for most of them- and her volunteering for those clubs got her name known throughout the community. She was also a basketball star, leading her team to championships at just freshman year. Her award winning academics sent her name past her city as well. Given her intellect, she was also established as one of the prettiest girls at her school. She never knew why, but boys feigned over her doing even the minor things. Sarada was basically known for being perfect.

She slumped to bed after washing her face and brushing her teeth, stopping at a picture of her and Boruto as babies.

"Stupid Boruto." She huffed.

Boruto was also well-known throughout the town as well. His dad, Naruto Uzumaki, was also a football coach for the KHS team, and his mom inherited the CEO of Hyuga Enterprise. He, however, was not known for helping with community service and volunteering. To the town, he was 'Boruto Uzumaki! The young football star of Konoha High! The young and talented Quarterback of KHS!'. At school, he was one of the biggest players known. Always dicking around, never staying committed. Sarada almost vomited at the thought.

Their two families have been friends for years. Their dads co-coaching and their moms are the bestest of friends. Everybody in town thought Boruto and Sarada were going to end up together in some way or another, 'they're going to get married' 'such pretty babies' 'they must be great friends!' Given those rumors and comments, the two teens just strayed further away from each other when they had the chance. At parties, they walked past each other. At school, they pretended the other never existed. Their parents were fully aware of this, never pressing the teens about the topic. They were almost never at the Sunday brunch together, one always coincidentally having plans. When they were forced to have brunch together, it would always end in Boruto raging after losing another card game, with Sarada victoriously teasing him.

"You're a cheater!" He'd whine.

"And you're stupid." She'd smirk.

She and Boruto basically shared the same friend group too! They had all basically grown up together, going to the same schools and family parties. All of their parents were mutuals, but as they grew up, they all started gaining more and more friends, growing apart a little. Granted, they were all still pretty close, the familiarity never leaving and the tension never reaching. She was glad. The rest of their friends were icebreakers for them. When they'd have kickbacks, Boruto and Sarada would seemingly get along, teasing here and there.

She set all of her alarms for tomorrow, adding a new one for football practice.

Sarada sighed, it was going to be a long junior year.

The day dragged on. She went to all of her classes, trudging through the assignments and listing her due dates on her planners. Sarada would often get asked how she never stresses, considering her commitments and being a raging junior in highschool. She always shrugged it off, knowing that she was way beyond her years. Most of the learning material was easy, never needing more than half of her effort.

"Hey girl!" Sarada was walking through the hallways when her best friend came up to her.

"Hey Cho."

Cho-cho wiggled her shoulders, "Soooo, isn't today your first day with the football team? Hoo-hoo this is gonna be interesting to watch!"

"There's no going back on Ino-sensei is there?"

"HAHA! Nope!"

Cho-cho grabbed her friend's shoulders, "You know what? It's okay, because after we're done with our shifts, we'll go out and get coffee. Again."

Sarada's eyes lit up, "Really?"

The two girls started walking to their classes. Both of their 6th periods were on the same floor, so they always took the liberty of socializing while walking.

"Hey guys!"

"Oh hey Sumire!"

"Heyo."

"So Sumi, who'd you get assigned to?" Cho-cho pressed, wiggling her eyebrows.

Sumire chewed the inside of her cheek, "...the basketball team."

If Sarada and Cho-cho didn't adapt to their friend's quiet nature, they might've missed the statement.

Sarada snorted, quickly covering her mouth in apology.

"Sarada!" Sumire whined.

"Haha- Sorry Sumi, but that's a handful, hehe." Sarada giggled.

"Are you sure you're going to be able to handle them? They're pretty rowdy."

Sumire blushed, "Oh… yeah… M-metal-kun is the manager so he s-said he'd help me."

Sarada snorted even harder, and Cho-cho giggled, "Well looks like there's nothing to worry about." The two gave reassuring smiles to Sumire.

"S-so who did you guys get assigned to?"

"Well, I got assigned to the Cross Country team."

"Oh that's not that bad."

"Yeah and Sara-chan here got assigned to the football team."

This time it was Sumire's turn to giggle with Cho-cho.

"Hehe, I'll pray for you Sarada."

"Pfffft, believe me, she's gonna need it." The group approached their classrooms as the bell rang.

Sarada let out an exasperated sigh, "You know what? It's okay, I'll just work on my assignments and hope none of them are reckless enough for me to have to bandage them up!"

She passed it off like it wasn't a big deal, but Sarada knew perfectly well that she could be doing something much better than taping up a reckless football player's wrist.

She had been interrupted during her study session in the med-bay by her dad, asking her to tape up Shikadai's wrist.

"Jeez Shikadai, how do you, out of all people manage to sprain your wrist. Before a game."

Shikadai scoffed, "Pfft, whatever. It's not my fault my teammates are reckless."

"Hey that's what I said!" The two friends chuckled as she finished up wrapping his wrist.

"You might wanna ice that when you get home, but you can play. I'll just have to wrap it before the game tomorrow, so don't forget."

Shikadai gave her an amused look, "You have to come to our games hahahaha"

Sarada shot him a glare as she put pressure on his sprain.

Shikadai wailed, "Okay! Okay!" Sarada stood, hand-on-hip, as she let her lip curl up in a victorious smirk.

"Pfft. Whatever." He walked out of their school's medbay to get back to practice.

5:30 eventually rolled around, thank Kami, and Sarada packed up her things from the medbay, stepping out into the field. She waited at the bench while Uncle Naruto and her dad gathered the team in a huddle. She scrolled through TikTok on her phone, hoping this wouldn't last too long. She was pretty surprised that only one player had needed her help. Hmm. Maybe it's because dad's the coach.

"KONOHA!" The team bellowed, to which Sarada had gotten startled enough that she had to juggle with her phone that flew out of her hand.

She huffed her bangs away, looking up to the team going their ways. She waited for Sasuke so that she could tell him she'd be going for more coffee.

Naruto and Sasuke approached her, "Oy! Hey Sarada-chan!" Naruto patted her head.

" 'Sup Uncle Naruto!" At least that knucklehead's dad was admirable.

"Uh Papa, ChoCho and I are gonna stop at the cafe to finish up some work before tomorrow."

"Alright, don't stay too long. I'll let mama know."

The two men carried on their conversations as they headed to the locker room, as Sarada got caught up in another email.

Sarada felt a flick to the back of her head. She turned around annoyed, although she knew exactly who it was.

"What do you want dobe?" She grumbled, still scrolling through her email as they started to walk through the parking lot.

An amused smirk came to his face, "Sara-chan has to come to my game tomorrow," as he leaned down to be eye-level with her, "don't be cheering too loud, or else my fans will think something's up."

She used her hand to shove him away, "Hah! You wish! Keep your stupid antics up and I'll personally tear your ACL." She scowled.

Boruto made a fake grimace, "Ouch. Hehe, well teme, see you at the field." He opened the door to his Mustang. Sarada rolled her eyes as she got in her Camaro. Idiot.

(A/N: Let me know what you guys think in the reviews! Hopefully I stay motivated enough for this story, but I fully plan on finishing it. Also, send me some ideas! Would you guys want a lemon chapter/s? What else should I add? Hope y'all like the next chapter!)
