Hoodie

Summary: Levi wonders where his favorite hoodie went.
Where is it? Levi rummaged through his closet. Next stop was the laundry basket. Not here either. Had he left it at his aunt and uncle's house? A quick text exchange with Mikasa told him that no, he had not left his favorite green hoodie at his cousin's place when he stayed with her for the week while her parents were on vacation.
So where did it go? Levi knew it couldn't be at his girlfriend's apartment. He distinctly remembered it had been a very hot day the last time he saw Petra and she had worn a cute little summer dress that drove him crazy.
A knock came from the door and Petra rushed into his arms when he opened it. "You're back! I'm so glad. I missed you." She squeezed his midsection.
Levi couldn't help the smile stretching across his face. Scowling or a blank expression were his default settings but she could pull out his smiles without even trying. "I missed you, too." He leaned in to kiss her. "C'mon in, I was just about to have dinner."
Petra placed a bag on the sofa before joining him in the kitchen. "What's in there?" Levi asked, while checking on the spaghetti. Good, it was still warm. Somehow his thoughts had turned to his hoodie and he'd forgotten about dinner, running around his apartment trying to find the missing article of clothing.
"Oh. Right," she said. "I didn't tell you. I borrowed your hoodie."
"My green one?"
"Yeah."
Levi hadn't seen her in over a week and didn't want to get annoyed with her, but he couldn't help it. It always irked him, people touching his things without his permission. He'd had girlfriends steal his clothes in the past cause they thought it was cute and it never failed to irritate him. It would be one thing if they asked, that he could maybe live with, but simply taking without asking and not evening having the decency to inform him afterward, he hated that.
"I was going to tell you. But I was kind of embarrassed," Petra admitted as she began setting the table.
"Embarrassed? What about?"
"You're going to laugh at me."
"I won't. Tell me," he said, curious now.
Petra shrugged in a fake casual manner, fiddling with a fork. "I was having a tough couple of days and I couldn't reach you since you and Mikasa were camping. I was feeling anxious and, well, wearing your hoodie made me feel better. There. Now you know. It's stupid. Go ahead and laugh," she said, her back still to him.
"I'm not going to laugh." Levi hugged her from behind, pressing a kiss to her cheek, feeling touched by her words. "If you were really feeling that shitty, I'm glad it brought you comfort."
"It was really nice." She turned around in his arms and hugged him. "But I'm sorry, I'll ask next time. I know how much you hate people touching your stuff."
"It's okay. Take it whenever you want."
"Are you sure? I know how much you love that hoodie."
"I do. But I love you more."
