"Hey, Ren," Yu said as Ren walked over.

"Hey, Yu."

"You want to taste some of my food?" Yu asked.

"Hell Yeah!" Ren shouted.

"Haha, not so loud," Yu said. He looks like he's enjoying himself.

Yu's office.

Ren was sitting down on a chair, while Yu got a bag with some of the food he made this morning.

"Here you go." Yu pulled something wrapped in tinfoil. "I wanted to try making some Mexican food. (1) You can be my taste tester."

Ren carefully unwrapped it, and Yu took note of this and said "You know what you're doing."

Ren replied, "My foster father for this year, as I'm on probation for a crime I didn't commit, runs a cafe."

"Oh...I'm sorry..."

"I'm over it. I've been meeting some great people this year, like Yu."

"I swear if you meant to use my name and not the pronoun..." Yu deadpanned. "Anyways, you should dig in before it gets cool."

Ren started to eat the half-moon dough. (2). It had that Mexican flavor. There were mashed potatoes, cheese, and corn. Lots of corn. But the flavor of the other ingredients bring it out fully and block out a lot of the corn.

"So, how was it?" Yu asked.

"It was really good."

"I'm glad. I spent too long on getting it right."

The office's bell went off. A tall man ( Ren thought one thing in his head: 'Again?Geez Yu what is with you and tall people?').

That's when he noticed Yu almost rolled his eyes. He didn't do that, Because Yu was a nice person. But Ren did see how tensed up Yu was.

"Saruwatari. (3)" Yu said, his voice becoming the very definition of Steel.

"No respect?"

"Last I checked, You didn't earn it."

"Brunt as always!"

"Is this about The Phantom Thieves? Look, I'm not looking into them."

"Why? You don't really have a choice."

"What?"

Ren didn't like where this was going.

"Look, We already know about that other world. You have no point in trying to hide it."

Ren stopped and froze in place. Yu knew. Saruwatari knew. He knew.
They all knew.

Yu turned around and looked at Ren, Their eyes locking on. Ren never saw this coming, but Yu smirked and said "Don't disappoint me." and turned to face the man "Now, Kitamura Saruwatari. I'm asking you to leave."

"Pssst. You won't last long." The man walked out.

That's when Ren realized. He said his name.

He was asking him to change his heart. Yu knew. He knew that he was a Phantom Thief. And given what happened, Yu possibly knew more. He had said...

'Let's not take that jump.' he thought to himself

"How long have you knew?" Ren had to ask.

"You didn't think I would notice how you asked for his name before?" Yu turned around but wore a smile. It turned to a frown.

"Look, I'd love to talk about this, but... I need a break."

(1) Why Mexican? I have no idea.
(2) This is a Molote, 'which is a filled, corn-based pastry usually served as an appetizer or snack in Mexican cuisine. It consists of a dough made from corn masa, sometimes blended with mashed potatoes, that is filled with various ingredients, then fried in lard or oil. In some areas molotes are rolled into cigar shapes or ovals, in others, they are formed into half-moons similar to empanadas'. (Wikipedia) I honestly don't know if I would find that yummy, but yet again we [Japanese people] have some odd food too...Guess I'm not completely out of the danger zone. *Wheezes in rice*
(3) Saruwatari means monkey on a crossing bridge.
