That night, as Raven was sleeping, she was dreaming of a memory from years ago.

"Why are you so sad, Raven?" asked an elderly lady as she approached an eight year old Raven who was sitting on a bench in the garden.

"I miss Apple," said Raven without looking at the woman.

"Having a friend leave is always tough, but it looks like this might be something more for you," said the woman as she sat down next to her.

"What do you mean, grandma Ellie?" asked Raven as she looked at her.

"Whenever you played with Apple, did it feel like there were butterflies in your stomach?" asked Ellie.

"Yes, and whenever she held my hand my heart felt like it would beat out of my chest," said Raven as she placed her hand over her heart.

"Sounds like someone found her first crush," said Ellie.

"What, but I'm supposed to be the next Evil Queen and Apple the next Snow White, plus… we're both girls," said Raven with a shocked expression.

" Love takes on many forms and happens between a lot of people, Raven, and you don't have to follow your destiny if you don't want to," said Ellie as she ran a hand through Raven's hair. The dream then changed to a 13-year-old Raven walking the halls of Ever After High for the first time.

"Why does everyone hate me when it was my mother who did all that stuff?" thought a sad Raven as everyone avoided her. She then heard a laugh she hadn't heard in five years.

"Apple!" said Raven as she noticed the blond standing with Daring Charming and ran over to her.

"Oh hi, you're Raven Queen, right?" asked Apple.

"I am, but don't you remember that we met before?" asked Raven.

"We have?" asked Apple with a confused expression. The bell then rang for everyone to get to class.

"Sorry, I have to get to class now, can't wait for graduation and our story to start," said Apple before running off.

"Apple wait, don't leave me again," said Raven as everything turned to a blur but the princess running away from her.

"Please, don't leave me again," said Raven as she began to cry.

"Raven, Raven wake up," echoed Apple's voice through the darkness. The witch then shot up out of her bed, tears rolling down her cheeks and the real Apple standing next to her.
