Writer's Note:
November 11, 2020, marks the 10th anniversary of when Sonic Colors, my very first Sonic the Hedgehog game, came out on the Wii and DS. To commemorate that, I have decided to write this story.

(Additional Note: It took me time to realize that I left out some stuff in the story so I revised it all, started from scratch.)
"Whoa, has it been ten years already?"
Sonic the Hedgehog sat upon the grassy hillside, looking up at the stars and thinking of days gone by. The reason why he said it aloud was because today marked ten years since he visited Eggman's Interstellar Amusement Park and saved the Wisps, so much had happened in that time since that adventure in space.
Not only had Sonic rejoiced his sixteenth birthday, met his past self and fought the Time Eater, then he visited the Lost Hex and battled Zavok's pack. Sometime after that, he'd fought Infinite, helped the Resistance liberate the planet from Eggman and took part in Dodon Pa's racing competition.
All those years later, things had changed; Doctor Eggman wasn't a threat anymore, Sonic had married his long-time girlfriend Amy Rose and the two hedgehogs lived in a nice house out in the countryside where they'd known nothing other than peace and happiness for the last couple years.
Despite feeling happy, Sonic almost missed his free-spirited adventure days, but at least he found plenty of time to get some running done. Heck, the blue hedgehog had found adventures here and there in the years since he settled down. But overall, he'd settled down and was living happily with his beautiful wife.
"You ok?" Amy Rose's sweet, sweet voice asked.
Sonic noticed her sitting next to him, wearing a black dress, a purple hairband and red shoes. A gold ring sat upon her middle finger on her gloved left hand just as another ring sat on Sonic's finger on his right hand, both rings symbolized their married status as husband and wife.
"Oh, oh yeah." The speedster nodded, "I'm fine, Ames. I was just thinking about our past adventures and realized it's been ten years since that fiasco regarding the doc's space amusement park and the liberation of the Wisps, darn, you know how time flies pretty quickly and I ain't talkin' about my speed."
"You miss seeing those cute aliens a lot, don't you? I know many of the Wisps started living here on our world and helped out on a couple occasions such as your adventure on Lost Hex and the War to Take Back the Planet, not to mention that we did see Planet Wisp during that racing Grand Prix. But I guess that wasn't enough for you?"
"Yeah, while we've seen some Wisps here and there, I kinda miss Yacker. Man, if there was somethin' we could do, I'd do anything to see Yack and his homeworld again."
Amy kissed her husband on the cheek and hugged him, "Why don't we go visit Planet Wisp, Sonic, I have a warp ring on stand-by."
She reached into the pocket of her dress and pulled out a small golden ring that glowed with energy, when Sonic looked at it, he recognized it as a Warp Ring despite having not seen one in a long time now. "Y'know, I guess visiting Planet Wisp right now wouldn't hurt, even though its pretty late at night." The speedster said thoughtfully.
Sonic took Amy's hand and they grasped the ring, the two married hedgehogs concentrated hard and thought of Planet Wisp. After all, if one was gonna use a Warp Ring, you had to think hard about where you wanted to go. After thinking very hard for a bit, both blue and pink hedgehogs threw the Warp Ring and watched it grow in size.
Once it was big enough, the image of Planet Wisp's lush green landscape appeared on the other side, showing its grassy green environment and the large groups of frolicking Wisps as they lived in peace. Amy and her husband stood up, holding hands, and walked through the portal together, leaving their planet behind for now.
As the hedgehog couple set foot on Planet Wisp and the Warp Ring disappeared into thin air with a flash of golden light, a swarm of one-eyed light-blue aliens surrounded Sonic and Amy, happily greeting them while chattering excitedly in their natural and yet mysterious alien language.
Looking at this place, Amy was astonished to see Planet Wisp's true beauty as she took her time to regard the scenery. Having seen the planet from a distance and briefly visited it during Dodon Pa's racing competition, the pink hedgehog always knew that the Wisp's home planet was just as incredible as her and Sonic's homeworld.
One light blue Wisp in particular flew up to Sonic, its swirly hair visibly shaking as a light alien wind blew across the field. The creature said something to the blue hedgehog in its own language. "Hey, hey, Yacker!" Sonic greeted happily, high-fiving the Wisp and scratching its head, "Long time no see, I bet ya missed me so much."
Yacker said something in Wispanese (the language of the Wisps), all while nodding his head. Even without the Miles Electric, Sonic was able to figure out what he was saying. "Yeah, its great seeing you again too, buddy." The hedgehog said, "I suppose you caught a glimpse of me during that race a few years back?"
"I don't think anybody brought this up," Amy commented, "But the Wisps are kinda like space Chao and this planet's basically a giant Chao Garden." She stroked a Spike Wisp's chin with her finger and scratched its head before hugging a group of blue Wisps lovingly as though they were cute animals.
Sonic and his wife spent the next several minutes hanging out and playing with the Wisps while they talked about the differences between a Chao and a Wisp, all while the blue speedster showed the pink hedgehog around most of the planet, giving Amy a small tour even though she'd seen a bit of it during her first visit.
A few Cube Wisps and Drill Wisps emerged from the bushes and watched as their hero interacted with the rest of the Wisps, enjoying themselves and the scenery. At one point, a gigantic pink Wisp with multiple eyes and large tentacles appeared and looked down upon the hedgehogs, waving happily and saying something in Wispanese.
When Amy saw the large Wisp, she put her hand over her mouth and almost gasped, seemingly recognizing the creature. A memory came to the surface in her mind, a memory of the Dodon Pa racing championship. During one of the races, Amy had caught a glimpse of a large pink Wisp watching the spectacle. It was...
"The Mother Wisp..." Sonic said, putting his arm around his wife, "She's the guardian of all the Wisps." Not wasting a single second, the speedster told Amy that, during his quest to liberate the Wisps from Eggman, he found the Mother Wisp when it was corrupted by negative energy and managed to save her from corruption.
Yacker chattered excitedly as he flew around Amy's head, probably telling her how big the battle between Sonic and the Nega Mother Wisp was all the way up to when the blue hedgehog knocked out the negative energy and restored her to normal. 'Too bad I didn't get to see it.' Amy thought dreamily, 'But at least the Wisps' Mother is okay now.'
Getting to see Planet Wisp again after so long felt incredible, the scenery looked perfect with all that Eggman machinery gone and no trace of anything related to the Dodon Pa racing championship such as the racing circuit. The Wisps were content and, with nothing big happening, they'd been able to have their peace for a very long time.
"Sonic?" Amy asked her blue husband intently, "I know I've seen the Wisps powers in action before, but could you show me what you could actually do with their powers, you did tell me that you've harnessed these creatures' Hyper-Go-On powers a lot of times and I never even got to see you use those powers."
"Of course I can, dear." The speedster chuckled as he kissed his wife on the cheek, Sonic called over a Laser Wisp and whispered something important in the alien's ear. The Wisp nodded and flew right into the blue hedgehog, a light aura surrounded Sonic and a voice yelled "LASER" right as he was curling into a ball of glowing energy.
KA-SHING-SHING! Sonic launched at some trees in a laser-like arc and bounded around them for a bit before landing near his sweetheart, then the Laser Wisp popped out of him and he summoned a Pink Wisp before turning became a pink ball of spikes, afterwards, he called on a Cube Wisp and turned into a blue cube.
The little demonstration of Sonic showing off Wisp powers lasted for a while until the blue hedgehog finished with a Rocket Wisp, a very impressed Amy hugged her husband happily and thanked the Wisps for showing off, the aliens nodded and said something in Wispanese that both hedgehogs couldn't figure out what they had just said.
Both hedgehog heroes smelled the fresh air, felt the smooth green grass under their feet and took in the peaceful scenery, hearing nothing other than a waterfall running, various Wisps chattering, grass rustling and the Mother Wisp breathing as a couple Wisps frolicked around her for warmth while a small tear rolled down her face.
Sonic and his wife sat upon a cliff to take in the view of the landscape below a mountain that they were on, watching the Wisps play and interact with each other, the two hedgehogs held hands and shared a kiss on the lips as a couple blue Wisps watched in awe as they respected the couple's happiness.
Eventually, Amy started to yawn and looked at her watch, it was two minutes past ten now. She leaned against Sonic's arm, signaling that it was bedtime. Knowing that he was getting tired too and it was time to go, the blue hedgehog said goodbye to the Wisps before pulling out a Warp Ring and wished to head home before tossing the ring.
With his mind on bedtime, Sonic walked through the portal with Amy in his arms, leaving Planet Wisp behind as they set foot back on their home planet. But just as the ring was closing, Yacker and a couple Wisps followed them through, surprising Sonic until he decided to let them visit for a while as he and Amy went to bed...

(Note: In case you're wondering why the story looks different if you're rereading it, I had to edit, rewrite and include some stuff in the story that I foolishly left out. Its fixed now, so, I hope you're happy.)
