His match was a flop. Dean knew that his mind wasn't in it beforehand but it didn't stop him. The crowd got bored easily and as he saw some of the crowd getting up and leaving, he got pissed off and basically let Big E pin him. After a quick apology, he got back into the locker room and grabbed his bags.
"Can you two get a room please?" He groaned towards Alice who was currently straddling Roman trying to get her shoe back. Alice sighed and stood up, one shoe on.
"Sorry... have you talked to her yet?" Dean shook his head. It was still very much a sensitive subject and although their last interaction was a week ago, he had never run into Megan or Sofia. They had been dealt with according to Roman who had heard something the through the grapevine.
"You do realise we are all going to be at the same house in less than 24 hours." Dean groaned internally. Roman was still staying with them and that he was grateful for because it meant they might a valid any arguments.
"I'm sure we will manage. Can I shove my stuff into your drawers and shit tonight. I really don't want to be back in our bedroom." Roman nodded.
"Yeah sure, is it alright for Alice to be there? She kinda wants to see Karlee and make sure she's alright." Dean mumbled something incoherently and waved his hands about. He had to get his thoughts straight. Was he going to talk to her or was he going to let it all cool down? Who was he kidding. Karlee was a raging ball of fire who wouldn't stop until she was really done with the situation and he knew perfectly well she was far from it. She had aright to be going daft but she thought he had cheated on her. She had every right to be mad until she found out the truth.
"What about the kid. You have to tell Karlee and I will tell you now, although none of this is your fault, she still has every right to be pissed at you."
"I know, but why? It happened before me and her were ever together." Alice sighed and levelled with Dean.
"You never told her. Instead she found out on national TV with millions of her fans watching on. As soon as Megan started blackmailing you with it all, you should have come clean. Especially about the child. That should have come out as soon as you found out." Dean nodded. He did understand and he knew Karlee would be more hurt than angry. A child thrown into the mix was going to make it all that more harder.
"I have no idea what to do. It's all so hard and I really can't have her leave me. She's my everyone. She's what helps me sleep at might. She completes me." Roman could sense another breakdown coming and he wasn't dealing with it.
"Dean. Man the fuck up. This is your mess and you need to clean it up like a man. Stop feeling sorry for yourself and go and win your woman back."

The flight was delayed. As it always was when the superstars were on their way home. Roman and Alice had stayed close all through the flight and Dean had grown very suspicious of the pair. Karlee would at least be happy for them. He trudged on through the airport, a bunch of white roses with black ribbon catching his eyes. On a whim, he bought them but he knew deep down, he was going to need a lot more ammunition than to bunch of puny flowers.
The got back to the shared home of Dean and Karlee a little after two am. There were no lights on which was a good sign that the fighting wouldn't start until the next day. Dean handed Alice the flowers, asking her to find a vase in the kitchen, telling her he would take her bags for her. She smiled warmly, appreciative that he was letting her stay for a few days. She did really want to see her friend but it wouldn't hurt to get to see Roman a little more. Alice found her way to the kitchen, opened e heavy door and fumbled around for a light. When she finally found one, she flicked it and stepped into the kitchen, placing the flowers on the counter and turning to face the main space.
"Holy shit you frightened me!" Alice gasped, clutching her chest. Karlee was sitting on no stool at the breakfast island, a mug in her hand. She was wearing no make up and her hair was piled on top of her head in a messy fashion. She was wearing her three quarter black workout shorts and a big black baggy jumped that absolutely swamped her body.
"Wow. You look like shit." Alice couldn't stop her words but at least she spoke the truth. Karlee responded with a very weak sarcastic smile.
"Thanks babe. I appreciate your compliments." Well her sass hadn't gone. Karlee looked at the door with wild eyes filled with hurt and Alice placed a hand on her shoulder reassuringly.
"Don't worry, he's disappeared upstairs. He's helping Roman with my stuff." Karlee looked into the eyes of her new best friend. Her eyes seemed to plead for comfort and reassurance. The were pleading her for help. Alice gripped her friend in a tight hug.
"We can help you through this, Roman and I, but you need to sit and listen to Dean. He has some very interesting points you need to hear." Karlee in audibly gasped.
"He cheated on me Alice, there isn't really much more interesting points to it. It's over. We can't be fixed." She let a tear fall from her eye. She loved Dean, she really did but she wasn't going through all that shit again. Alice silently pleaded with her.
"Fine. But I need time. I haven't slept in a week and quite honestly, I want to break both of his legs right now so maybe let's leave it a few days okay?" Alice could see how exhausted Karlee was and she didn't blame her. In two months, she had returned to her beloved job, lost one of her best friends, returned to win a title, find out her boyfriend was cheating and lose her belt in the same night, couldn't have been easy.
"Let's get you to bed. I'm sure we can manage that without Dean seeing you looking like a hobo."

As Dean slid out of bed, he rubbed his eyes viciously. Another restless night was making his body begin to ache. He wanted his bed back. He wanted something to cuddle up to in the middle of the night. As his feet slapped against the cold tiles on the spare bedroom, he rooted around in the ginormous pile of clothes that had been dumped at the bottom of the bed. Most of his belongings from the shared bedroom were ever so lovingly placed in the bedroom that was at the front of the house, the complete opposite from his and Karlee's bedroom at the back. He sighed as he picked out a shirt and a pair of black shorts. He didn't have any fans to impress so comfort was the only option.
He padded down the hallway, his feet stopping of their own accord when he reached the room he though Karlee was sleeping in. Theirs. He listened closely but heard nothing, there were no sounds or signs of movement. He placed a hand on the door, just wishing he could go in and talk to her, make her listen and plead with her.
The kitchen was immaculate as per usual. Karlee always kept it clean and it was really her pride and joy. She loved cooking him meals and baking silly things in the evening. It was then he realized, before everything went ass backwards, they were really settling into routines like an old married couple. His attention was drawn to the note that was stuck to the fridge and on it was Karlee's loud swirly handwriting.
Alice, went for a run. Pancake mix is in cupboard. Salads and fruit are in the pantry. Cereals are in cupboard above microwave. Mugs are to your left and the key for the front door is hanging up beside the entrance. Make Roman something nice and if you leave make sure the back door is unlocked, xo K
No mention about his breakfast then. Maybe she didn't think he was back, had she even got her flowers? He wandered over to grab a glass of water when his question was answered. There, by the sink, was the largest knife they owned sitting next to a bunch of beheaded roses. Well he clearly got the message then. Flowers weren't going to work.
There was no sign of Roman and Alice so Dean got to making himself his own breakfast. He grabbed a mug and poured some coffee, throwing some fruit in a bowl and pulling out some lucky charms. He settled down in the top chair, groaning as his aching body touched the cold wood. Another sleepless night was not doing anything for his body and his actions were slower than usual. They both weren't ready for a confrontation but by the sounds of it, it was coming a lot quicker than it should. Light footsteps were heard outside just as Dean was cleaning up him mess from breakfast. He groaned internally as Karlee stepped into sight, drowned in sweat with a teeny pink workout bra on. She stretched, unaware she was giving Dean a show but her headphones were in and the world was out.
She stepped into the kitchen and froze, seeing Dean standing there. All of the bottled up anger slowly rose to the surface and Dean could see the screaming match coming a mile away.
"Still an asshole." He stood there shocked. That was all she was going to say? He watched as she grabbed a big glass and filled it with water, downing it ever so quickly.
"I have nothing left to say to you Dean. And nothing you can say will change my mind." Dean snickered, much to the disgust of the woman in front if him.
"And what if I tell you everything you saw you misunderstood." She glared at him.
"Are you fucking kidding me? I'm sure I know what fucking someone looks like Dean and I'm pretty sure that's what you were doing."
"It wasn't... Well it was. You just understood a major detail." Karlee crossed her arms, leaning against the bench, actually listening to what he had to say. However much it hurt, she would listen.
"Yes, I slept with Megan. I just slept with her six years ago. And I promise that's the only time. That's why the video was in black and white because at the time, she had red hair just like you do now." Karlee stared at him, her eyes turning glassy and her lip beginning to tremble. Dean pulled out a chair for her and went to lead her over to it but she snatched her arms away.
"So you didn't actually cheat on me?" She whimpered, wiping away the tears of relief that dropped from her eyes. Dean bent down in front of her.
"I never would. I love you so much to ever throw what we have away." Karlee was bawling. She felt different but it wasn't relief.
"Why didn't you tell me Dean? Why did I have to find out on live TV?" She was angry again and it was about to get a whole lot worse.
"She was blackmailing me K... I didn't know what to do and I was going to tell you but she piped me to the post." Karlee looked at him with wild eyes.
"Blackmailing you? How?" This was the hard part, this would bury any sort of chance they had together again.
"She claimed I got her pregnant and that the kid she has is mine." Karlee began to shake furiously. All the information was stacking up in her brain and she didn't know what to do with it. Dean had a child. And she didn't.
"Karlee I'm so sorry and I promise I didn't know about it until about two weeks ago. I knew this would hurt you." Dean could sense the tear that wanted to fall and he was never really one to cry. But seeing Karlee in such an emotional state was almost tearing him up.
"You have something with her that I couldn't give to you." Karlee whimpered, shutting her eyes and trying to block everything out.
"I don't want that with her, I want that with you Karl. I'll sort out whatever mess this is, just please give me another chance." Karlee sniffed and took his hand in hers, lovingly stroking her fingers across it before looking him in the eye.
"Dean, I don't know if I can."
xXx
Right, just to stop people that are saying Karlee has no right to be upset. She didn't know that the tape was from way back because she couldn't tell. And even though he has confessed, she is still mad at the fact he didn't tell her. So yeah, she does have the right to be pissed, but only for a short while. I promise you, this is not going to all be about Deans wrong doings.
All you smut lovers, there will be some in the upcoming chapters.
