Fighting each other on a daily basis is fun and all, but just about every brawler agrees that it is nice to have fun without the risk of injury. How they accomplish this differs from person to person; Some still like to experience the rush of the fight while others have more intellectual pursuits. For Brock and Jessie, despite what some very in-depth videos say, their hobby is more of the former, being a class-based first-person shooter video game called Team Fortress 2.

When Jessie and Brock first started playing, Jessie was as new as you could get while Brock had a year or so of occasional play under his belt. As such, Brock suggested that Jessie use the Soldier, as he is "easy to learn, hard to master" in the words of many players. It was later realized just how good of a pick Soldier was for Jessie; She was already used to shooting projectiles towards groups of people in her own battles, which happened to be a good skill to have when your character shoots rockets that do splash damage. Brock opted for something far removed from his real-life skillset, the Engineer. This prompted Jessie to ask, "Why him?" Brock pondered for a moment, and replied with, "People never expect the Engineer to do anything besides sitting behind his sentry gun. So, when they see me frolicking around the map, they go, 'sweet, free kill for me.' Which is only half right because I always get a free kill out of it."

After playing the game together for a week or so, they became quite the duo. Usually, when a pair scores as high as they do, one of them is the other's Medic girlfriend. But Brock and Jessie just kick mercenary ass. Jessie has become a rocket-shooting goddess, launching people into the air by shooting a rocket at their feet then turning them into a firework by hitting them again before they touch the ground. Brock plays like the shotgun-slinger Shelly wants to be, dropping Übercharged medics quicker than Uncle Dane drops bars. Together they have single-handedly defended payloads and points from the penetrating perpetrators that make up the enemy team.

The biggest threat to their current winning streak was a Spy that went by the name 'SammyScripts.' He was confident in his abilities to say the least, nobody on Brock and Jessie's team was allowed to play sniper when Sammy was on the backlines. He was constantly getting chainstabs that would take out the majority of their team's offensive force, denying the opportunity to make any significant progress. But as the round went on, Jessie and Brock started to become accommodated to Sammy's playstyle. At first, he seemed unstoppable, only ever making a handful of minor errors. But then they began to realize that it did not matter how many mistakes Sammy made; Sammy's playstyle was fundamentally inferior. He was not a team player by any interpretation, always attacking targets that gave him the easiest kill instead of those that help the team. To beat Sammy, all they needed to do was beat his team. And Brock and Jessie were very good at beating teams.

When the smoke cleared, Brock and Jessie were the victors. Sammy would have been in his right to be mad, but he was graceful in defeat at first. As was the life of the Spy main. But he snapped once his teammates started blaming him for their loss. Sammy cited the fact that he was top-scoring and that saying he was solely responsible for the loss would be ridiculous, which was reasonable. His team claimed he could have been more of a team-player rather than a one-man army, which was also reasonable. All the while, Brock and Jessie were eating their metaphorical popcorn, and they did not need to bring the salt with how the in-game chat was looking. As entertaining as the argument was, it taught them a valuable lesson; No matter how good you are, being a part of a team will always lead to more success.
