The team wasn't happy that i had to leave i wasn't either but duty calls and i have to go but i have been realizing that Hailey has been sick every morning for a couple weeks now i think it is just a stomach bug but then trudy walk up into the bullpen and said "Hey Halstead you got a visitor" i look up and i see him the man who was there for me when no one else was greg mouse gerwitz i get up out of my seat and run over i pulled him to a embrace and i say "i thought you were dead" then he said "i have to go back for three years this time i go on June,16th" "mouse i'm going too i got the letter today" "what i thought you retired" "no i went into the reserves" Adam speaks up and says the beer and the going away party is on me Kev says " i'm in on that too molly's we'll have a party with 51 and med. Fast Forward too Friday night
"Hailey i am going out to run an errand" Hailey says "Ok be back before five" "Ok bye babe"
as i hop into my truck i think it is time to get linked together for good i am going to the Jeweler and i am going to keep that ring to the end of my tour to have something to look forward too. as i pull up to the the jeweler i get my wallet out of my center console and put it in my pocket and i walk in the lady at the front desk says "Hi what can i do for you today" "I am looking for an engagement ring for my girlfriend" "okay follow me" So she showed me to a spot in the store and she she showed me a bunch of rings then i saw the ring it was a gold band with a blue diamond in the middle with a bunch of little diamonds around the gold band so i ask " hey what's the price for this one right here? and she says $10,000 i pull out my wallet and say i want that ring please" "alright let me get it in a bag and you will be on your way" okay thank you she comes out with the bag and puts the velvet case that holds the ring into the bag and i swipe my card and the purchase is complete "i hope she likes it" "she is going to love it it is a wonderful ring" "alright thank you have a great day" after got done with the rest of the shopping trip i put all the groceries in the truck and i stuff the ring in my pocket and i head out of the mall parking lot. as i get home Hailey walks out the front door and says "that took you awhile" "yeah i wanted to get us some stuff that wasn't on the shopping list" which was true i got a cake and some twelve packs of beer with a ring. " okay Jay looks like we have enough stuff too last your tour.
