(Hey guys, here's a quick chapter. I didn't have a lot of time to write but I wanted to upload something, let me know what you think x)

Later that night, the five siblings were sitting on the boy's bed. The house had been quiet for the past few days and Casey and Austin hadn't been seen. Nothing had happened since Austin and Casey came home drunk that night and they were glad for it, but something felt off. Gabriella sighed. "Something's gonna happen." All her siblings looked at her so she continued. "Everything's been going so well these last few weeks and Mom's barely been around, I don't know where or when, or even what's gonna happen, but something feels weird."

Chad sighed. "I've got the same feeling G, I think we all do. We've just gotta be careful ok guys?" His siblings all nodded along and silence filled the room.

"Ella?" Jasmine's timid voice interrupted their internal thoughts, Gabriella turned to the girl, timidness was not a trait Jasmine usually showed.

"Yeah Angel?"

"Why is Mom so mean to us, all the other kids at school have nice mommies."

The older siblings sighed, they'd been waiting for this conversation. "I can't give you a right answer for that Jas, there are a lot of reasons she is the way she is. You and Imi are still a bit too young to fully grasp it but I'll tell you girls in a way you'll understand. She didn't have a very good life when she was a kid, her mom and dad weren't really around much so no one taught her what was right and wrong. She got mixed in with the wrong people and she started doing things that she shouldn't have. Mom wasn't ready to have Chad or I, or even Locky, she was very young and I guess she never really grew up."

Gabriella wrapped her arms around the two girls, pulling them to lean against her. "Mom isn't the way that mommies should be but there isn't much we can do about that, we can't change people. But I want you girls to know that just because she doesn't show it, she loves you girls very much and regardless of how she acts, Chad, Locky and I love you."

The two girls nodded but Imogen spoke up. "Why don't we have a daddy?"

Gabriella looked to Chad for help to explain and the boy nodded, taking over. "Do you girls remember when he would come visit." The twins shook their head slowly. "That's alright. Well Dad used to come see us every weekend when you were little, we'd go to the park and do all sorts of fun stuff. But one day, he just didn't come back anymore so we haven't seen or spoken to him for a while. To answer your question Imi, none of us really know why he disappeared. When Mom had me, Ella and Locky, Dad was the same as she was but he worked hard to change for us and set a good example for his kids. We think a lot of the reason for why he left is because of how Mom is but we'll never know unless we hear it from him."

The girls nodded slowly in response and Lachlan spoke up, directing his question to the girls. "Is there any particular reason that you wanted to know about Mom and Dad or were you just curious."

Both twins nodded slowly, the older girl speaking. "Whenever we're making presents at school, all our friends are making theirs for their mommies and daddies. Miss Emma asked us why we always make ours for you, Chad and Ella and not our mommy and daddy. We wanted to know why we don't have a mommy and daddy like the other kids."

The siblings all nodded, Gabriella rubbing the little girl's shoulder. "I think we've all wondered the same thing Angel, but that's one question we're never gonna get the answer to but as long as we have each other, everything will be ok, I promise."

Chad smiled at his sister's response before looking at the time. "Alright guys, it's getting late, we should get some sleep. Good night Locky, girls. I love you all."

They all responded. "Good night, love you too."

Gabriella took the twins over to their bed and they all got in under the covers, the twins cuddling into Gabriella either side of the 15 year old. She wrapped her arms around them and could feel them relax almost immediately. "Ella?" Imogen whispered.

"Yeah Imi?" Gabriella whispered in return.

"Will we get to see Troy soon?"

Gabriella smiled, she was glad that her boyfriend got along well with her siblings. Troy and Chad were the best of friends and Locky also had a really close bond with the boy. Jasmine seemed to adore him, but the fact that now Imogen also wanted to be around him, given her shyness around anyone, made Gabriella ecstatic. "Do you like being around Troy Baby Girl?" She felt her nod against her chest. "Alright then Im, I can talk to Troy tomorrow and maybe this weekend we can go to his house or we can all go to the park, does that sound like fun?"

"Yes please Ella."

The teen turned her attention to her other sister. "What do you think Jas?"

"I want to see Troy too."

"Alright then girls, I'll talk to Troy tomorrow ok? But it's getting late now so we really need to get to sleep. Sweet dreams girls, I love you."

"Love you Ella."

Gabriella felt the two girls' breathing even out and was left to her own thoughts. Life had been going so smoothly in recent times, it was almost perfect but something was going to happen, she could feel it. She didn't know what to expect or how much it would affect them but all she knew was that something big was about to happen.
