The weeks passed until it was Gabriella's birthday, the girl still unaware of the plans of her boyfriend and her brother's involvement. She was woken that morning by her younger sisters. "Happy Birthday Ella!"

She smiled sleepily and hugged them both. "Thank you girls." She looked around and noticed that her brothers weren't in the room. "Do you know where Chad and Locky went?" The twins looked at each other before shaking their heads, making Gabriella suspicious. "How about we go find them?" She got out of bed, getting herself dressed along with her sisters before leaving the room, finding Lachlan in the living room.

The boy stood from his place on the couch and hugged his sister. "Happy Birthday G."

"Thanks Bud, where's Chad?"

Lachlan grinned. "He's over at Troy's, we're going there for breakfast remember? Come on, we've got presents over there."

Gabriella giggled before following her brother to her boyfriend's house, the twins beside her. As soon as she walked into the house, she could smell the bacon, eggs, hash browns and pancakes being made. She walked further into the house and squealed when she felt arms around her waist before she was lifted and spun around. When she was placed back on her feet, she turned around and slapped her boyfriend softly on the chest, feigning anger. "What was that for?"

He smirked and kissed her cheek, pulling her into a hug. "Happy Birthday Baby."

She dropped the act and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Thanks Wildcat." She leaned up to kiss him but was interrupted by her older brother clearing his throat, making her rest her forehead against her Troy's chest while the boy only chuckled.

"I get you guys are together and all, but the rest of us don't want to see it, there are little eyes." He laughed as Gabriella rolled her eyes. "Happy Birthday G, do you want to open your presents now?"

She nodded slowly. "You guys got me presents?"

Lachlan responded. "Of course we did Gabi."

She bit her lip before following her siblings and boyfriend into the living room to open her presents. Chad reached for the gift bag and she opened it to reveal a notebook with her name engraved, a few novels that she'd loved and a camera.

Chad saw the look on her sister's face and smiled gently, explaining the gifts. "The girls thought the notebook was a good idea, I remember how upset you were when Mom came home that day and tore up your books and broke your camera."

She nodded before hugging all of her siblings. "Thank you guys, I love them all."

After a few seconds silence, Jasmine spoke up. "Troy, where's your present for Ella."

Gabriella spoke before Troy could answer. "I told Troy not to get me anything Angel."

"Actually." Troy interrupted. "I've got a few gifts for Ella, but she just has to wait a bit to get them. But I think my mom and dad have a present for her." As soon as he spoke the words, Jack and Lucille walked into the room. "Speaking of the devils, here they are."

"Haha very funny Troy." Lucille rolled her eyes before turning her attention to Gabriella, pulling the girl into a hug. "Happy Birthday Dear, Jack and I got you a little something, I hope you like it." She said, handing the now 16 year old the gift bag.

Gabriella opened the bag and gasped, one hand moving to cover her mouth. "This is too much, I can't accept this."

"Nonsense Gabriella, we insist. You are a sweet girl, you've been a pleasure to have around and you've made our son very happy. This is the least we could do for your birthday."

She nodded slowly before pulling the ipod out of the box. "Thank you so much, I've always wanted one but we just never had the money, thank you." She said, hugging the two adults, who only laughed and dismissed it. When Troy's parents left the room, she sat down beside the boy and leaned into his embrace. "I told you not to get me anything."

He shook his head and kissed her temple. "Sorry Baby, but that was never gonna happen. You're my girl and I'm gonna spoil you for your birthday. I promise you're going to love it."

"Was is it?" She asked curiously, only for him to shake his head.

"That is a surprise for now, you'll find out your first gift after breakfast and then the rest later on."

After everyone finished breakfast, all of the kids went into the living room while Jack went to the car to pack for Gabriella's first – and biggest – surprise. Imogen spoke up. "Does Ella get to find out her present now?"

Everyone laughed and Troy responded. "Yes she does Imi, but you guys will have to say goodbye to Ella because you won't see her for a couple days." Gabriella turned to him shocked, unaware of the smiles on her siblings' faces. He kissed her forehead reassuringly. "It's ok Sweetheart, they all know what's going on, it's your first surprise and I promise that you're going to love it."

She nodded slowly before saying goodbye to her siblings. She walked outside with Troy and started panicking. "What do you mean I won't see them for a few days, why won't I see them? Are we going somewhere? I don't have anything that I'd -"

He silenced her with a kiss. "It's ok Baby, I promise. I've got it all covered. You won't see them for a few days because we're going somewhere that you will find out soon and Chad packed all your stuff for you, it's already in the car. So just relax for me and enjoy your birthday." She nodded, climbing into the car before they drove to the airport.

She had no idea when they were going until the airport staff handed them their tickets. She looked at the locations and grinned, jumping up and down like a child. "We're going to California?!" When Troy nodded – grinning – she launched herself into his arms. "Thank you, thank you, thank you. This is the best birthday present ever!"

He chuckled and walked them to the waiting area before they boarded their flight. Once they were in their seats, he turned to her, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "Are you surprised Brie?"

"I had no idea this was what you had planned."

"Well you said it was your dream to be able to go to California, so I wanted to make that dream come true for you."

She shook her head slightly. "I can't believe you remembered that." She kissed his cheek. "You're amazing Troy, you know that?"

"Only for you Baby."

Gabriella frowned as a thought popped into her head. "Troy, how much did this cost?"

"Don't even worry about it." He saw that she was about to interrupt. "I'm serious, it's fine Brie. I talked to my parents a while back that i wanted to do this for your birthday and they agreed with it. We did some researching and I mostly paid for it myself with a bit of help from them. I wanted to spoil you for your birthday, you deserve it. I love you so much and if I had the opportunity to be able to make one of your dreams come true then I was going to do it. Don't worry about money or anything like that, you just enjoy yourself on this trip, ok? Promise?"

She nodded. "I promise." She kissed him chastely. "I love you so much Wildcat."

"I love you so much Sweetheart."

She leant her head on his shoulder as she plane took off and they were on their way to California.
