Chapter 3

The trio of Erza, Natsu, and Anna are travelling down a dirt road. They have been travelling for a few days now and are approaching a town.

"We should be nearing Fangton," Anna announces to the two teens chatting behind her.

Behind Anna, Natsu and Erza are hauling the large wagon that Erza brought with her. It is significantly lighter than when they had first begun the journey. The teens are busy talking about the food they are going to stock up on.

"We'll need some really good firewood." Natsu tells Erza.

"Does that effect the taste of fire?"

Natsu nods his head, "Yeah, the type of wood makes a difference. It gives it like, a different flavor."

"So, it's like, adding a spice to food?"

"Um…yes?"

Erza looks at Natsu in mild surprise, "Do you not know what spices are?"

"…maybe."

"…How do you not know what spices are?"

Before Natsu can answer the red-head, Anna informs Erza, "He lives out in the middle of the forest with a dragon. I'm fairly certain his diet consists of whatever he can hunt."

"Yup." Natsu confirms.

With a glint in her eye and a devilish grin, Erza says, "Then we are going to have so much fun shopping."

Natsu suddenly stops. His eyes narrow and he gets into a defensive pose, "I smell a group of people waiting in the woods."

Erza get serious as well. The nice dress she is wearing begins to shine and disappear. An armor consisting of a breastplate, shoulder guards, gauntlets, and waist guards, replaces the dress. Below the armor, Erza wears a skirt and black boots. She is also armed with a sword. Over the left breast plate, is a symbol of a dragon's head, the crest of the royal family.

"Bandits most likely." She says.

"Now, let's not jump to conclusions." No sooner than Anna utters those words, an arrow flies out of the forest and strikes her arm. Anna cries out in pain as Natsu rushes into the forest.

"Professor!" Erza cries out.

"Okay, never mind. Go crazy!" Anna says through gritted teeth. She grabs a key off her belt. It is a Golden Key with the symbol for Pisces on it, "Open, Gate of the Paired Fish: Pisces!"

A flash of white light emits from the key as a doorbell sound rings off. The light expands and coalesces to form two figures. One of them is blue shark-boy, the other is a great white shark with lipstick.

The male gasps at seeing Anna, "Mom, are you okay?"

"I'm just fine, honey." The great white shark replies.

"…I was talking about her." The son replies, pointing at Anna.

"Oh dear, are you okay, honey?"

"I'm fine, Mom." The son replies.

Anna wants to face palm at her spirits' antics, but at that moment a few bandits jump through the woods with weapons drawn. Pisces immediately jumps into action. The son pulls out his trident and parries one of the bandits and follows through to launch him back with a torrent of water. The mother, meanwhile, as if the ground is water, dives down and breaks the surface right below another bandit, biting down on her prey.

In the forest, Natsu and Erza are engaging with the bulk of the bandit group. There are about a dozen of the bandits, and the two teens are shredding through their adversaries.

"One coming your way!" Natsu calls out to Erza, as he uses a flaming kick to launch one of the bandits at Erza.

Erza dodges an attack from another bandit and follows up with a slice at the bandit Natsu kicks at her. The bandit who she dodged, rears up to attack her, but Natsu jumps him and knocks him out with a flaming fist to the head.

Around them every bandit laid on the ground defeated.

"That was easy!" Natsu laughs, extending his fist for a bump.

"They stood no chance." Erza remarks, fist bumping Natsu.

"We make a pretty good team."

"For our first fight together, not bad!"

The two teens smile at each other, when Erza remembers their teacher, "Oh no, we left Anna alone!"

The two teens rush back towards Anna and emerge to find a blue shark-man doing something to Anna's arm. A blue shark lays next to them on lookout.

"Hey, get away from her!" Natsu shouts, "Iron Fist of!"

Natsu's spell is cut short as the shark blasts a torrent of water from her mouth at Natsu, knocking him back and extinguishing any fire that formed. With her free hand, Anna face palms along with Erza.

"Natsu, those are her Celestial Spirits." Erza informs him, "They're Pisces."

"But that shark dude,"

"Is mending my wound." Anna says, completing his sentence.

"…Oh." Natsu says as Erza helps him up. He proceeds to heat up his body to evaporate the remaining water off of him.

"How bad is it?" Erza asks as she approaches her Professor.

"Doesn't look too bad, Mom." The son replies, "It'll probably need time to heal though."

Erza sighed, "This is definitely going to slow us down. I wish we had a healing mage with us."

"A healing mage?" Anna repeats, "Hey Natsu, did Igneel say all the dragons were meeting up with Zeref?"

"Yeah, why?"

"We might be able to get a healing mage then. There's a chance she won't be there, but we are near Wendy's campsite."

"We are!?" Natsu replies excitedly.

Erza's expression changes from worry to apprehension at hearing Natsu's excitement to see Wendy.

"Yeah, she could patch me up quick, and we might be able to convince her to join our group."

Erza couldn't argue with that. Having a healer would be extremely useful on this trip.

"It's settled then, we go and pick-up Wendy! she'll definitely come if I ask her!"
