Chapter 7

Lord Luxery is at a loss of words, not that there is much to say. Some kingdom knights appear from upstairs and come down to formally arrest the corrupt Lord. While the knights arrest him, Seilah manages to convince the group to accompany her back to Fort Clover. They attach Erza's wagon to the carriage and head off. Once in the carriage though, they make a frightening discovery. Natsu and Wendy have terrible cases of motion sickness. The women can only do so much to treat them, leaving them lying on a bench feeling sick.

"Milady, I must apologize, had I known you were coming, I would have set you up in the mansion." Seilah says while bowing, "Though, I must ask, what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be studying at Mildian?"

"It's summer break." Erza explains.

"Ah, I see. So then why come all the way out here? Your father is worried sick about you."

Just now, it dawns on Erza that she never so much as wrote home to explain what she was doing. She could only imagine the agony that her parents must be going through! First her mother begins to undergo dragonification, and now their only daughter just up and disappears! Erza hangs her head in shame at her shortsightedness.

"Oh, Milady, there's no need to feel bad!" Seilah says, "It was an honest mistake!"

Erza perks up on hearing that, "Yeah!"

"I'm sure his majesty will understand once we bring you home."

"Yea- wait, what?" Erza is thrown off guard, and even Anna picks up on what Seilah is saying.

"Bring her home?" Anna asks.

"I'm sorry, but who are you?"

"This is Professor Anna Heartfilia, she's a professor at Mildian."

Seilah raises an eye and excitedly asks, "Oh really, and what do you teach?"

"History,"

Seilah calms down a little and replies, "Well still, you wouldn't happen to have any book recommendations?"

"I may."

Seilah smiles at Anna, "We will have to talk later. I am an avid reader; I'm always looking for something new to read."

Erza clears her throat, "Getting back on topic. What's this about me going back home?"

Seilah looks at Erza in confusion, "What do you mean? Your father wants you home. Simple as that."

"Well, I don't want to go home. I'm on a mission."

Seilah frowns at Erza, "I'm afraid there isn't much of an option in this. Your father has sent out an order for your return home. I have to send you back."

"But my mission."

Seilah shakes her head, "It will have to be postponed."

"Hold on," Anna interjects, "I'm sure King Rung would understand if he heard what the mission was!"

"That's right, dad would understand!"

"And what is this mission of yours?"

Erza smiles, there's no way that Seilah could deny that her father would disapprove of this mission, "We're seeking out Zeref, so he can save my mom!"

To everyone's surprise, Seilah's mood doesn't change upon hearing that, "You may have a point, but the fact still remains. I have been given an order by the King himself. If word gets out that I found you and didn't bring you home, I would be putting my own livelihood on the line."

Erza realizes that Seilah is right. While it her father would most likely be fine with the mission, it wouldn't be Seilah's place to make that decision. She knows she can always just send Anna, Natsu, and Wendy on without her. The only problem is this is a mission she personally wants to see to its conclusion.

Erza pauses and thinks this through a little bit more. Her decision could decide the fate of Seilah for the better or worse.

"I understand how serious this is to you, but this is something I need to see through to the end." Erza explains.

"Princess, I ask that you reconsider." Seilah pleads.

"I'm sorry Seilah, but that is my decision." Erza says as she stand up, "We will be getting off here."

"I am sorry as well…" Seilah mutters, "Princess, please sit down."

Erza drops down into her seat, much to her own surprise.

"Erza?" Anna says as she gets up to check on Erza.

"Sit."

Like Erza, Anna drops back down onto her seat.

"Orders are orders. I'm sorry it must be this way, but I will be bringing you back to Dragonfall Castle." Seilah explains.

Erza and Anna fight to move, but they find their bodies aren't responding to their own orders. With Natsu and Wendy incapacitated due to their motion sickness, they can do nothing but watch as the landscape passes them by them. Only that's what they think. Natsu grabs Seilah's leg and successfully throws her out of the wagon! She hits Erza's wagon on the way out and knocks over some of the materials packed into it. The two dragon slayers proceed to follow jump out of the wagon after her.

Free from the moving carriage, the motion sickness wears off, allowing Natsu and Wendy to stand against Seilah.

"Let them go." Natsu orders Seilah.

"I am the one who gives orders." Seilah proceeds to throw the book in her arm at Natsu. It strikes him in the face and knocks him down. As Natsu lifts himself up, the book turns around and strikes him in the back of the head. The book turns around and strike Natsu once more.

"Stop that!" Natsu yells as he charges at Seilah.

Unfortunately, the book comes back and knocks him away from her.

"It doesn't even hurt! It's just annoying!"

"Um, Natsu?" Wendy calls to her partner, "The carriage is getting away."

Natsu pivots around and is about to dash at the carriage, when the book comes back and knocks him to the ground. The book then flies at Wendy. With a girlish scream, Wendy ducks out of the way of the projectile book.

The carriage continues to wheel away, with Natsu and Wendy helpless to stop it. Erza and Anna remain seated in there, screaming for the two dragon slayers to save them. Natsu tries to get up, but Seilah walks up to him and plants her foot on Natsu's back, keeping him down. Meanwhile, Wendy is trying frantically to avoid the book.

Just as it seems the carriage will get away; thorns shoot up from beneath the carriage and lift it up off the ground. The horses pulling it start to freak out, and with the thorns breaking their bindings, they run away. Erza's wagon meanwhile, is tipped on its side, and whatever contents were still in it, are dumped onto the ground.

"You should have focused on stopping the carriage first." A male voice calls out to the two dragon slayers, "You're lucky I was in the area, Natsu."

Natsu looks in the direction of the voice and gasps, "Mard Geer!?"
