Author's Note: I am Handicapped with Aspergers, Dyslexia, OCD, ADHD and a whole lot more so please bare that in mind if my spelling is off. I use spell checker. I also have a slight mental disability so please excuse any mistakes. I do the best I can with writing these stories and trying to post chapters. Also I am a very sick person so their will be periods where I don't update. But ALL my stories will be updated eventually.
Author's Note:
This Chapter is dedicated to all those who have fought and lost their lives in Wars and to those who are currently serving. I hope everyone we take the time to thank those brave soldiers for the service and what they have done for their Countries and acknowledge those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Remember them on this Remembrance Day.
I would also like to dedicate this chapter to my Pop who served in the Korean War and passed away 12 years ago.
Introduction
The Council watches as Apollo fights the Python but lose sight of him when he plunges into the chasm. But when Artemis lets out a scream and basically collapses. Everyone believes him to be dead. But is he really?
Chapter .1.
Artemis watched nervously as her badly injured brother fought his archnemesis. He was doing well considering he was mortal. But his injuries were bad. She knew if he didn't turn back into a God soon he would die.
She had been a nervous wreak for months. But had been acting like she was fine. Everyone except her Hunters thought she was fine. But that was far from the truth.
She just wanted her brother to come back. So he wouldn't be in pain anymore. So she didn't have to watch him nearly die. But hopefully he would soon, maybe within minutes, become a God again. Then she would give him the biggest lecture of the century.
When she realised he was out of arrows her heart sunk. When his ukulele broke she had a VERY bad feeling. Then she saw him stab the python in the eye and minutes later start to drag the Python to the chasm.
'Please Apollo don't do that', Artemis thinks.
Then she watches them fall into the Chasm and the imagine went black.
"What happened?" Hermes asks.
"Where did they go?" Hephaestus asks.
Talk erupted around the Throne Room as they tried to see where Apollo was.
All but Artemis who was hearing a buzzing in her ears. She felt like she was being split in two and the other half fading away.
She realised in despair what that meant. And the pain consumed her she let out a wailing scream. Sliding out of her throne and onto the floor. As the pain of feeling her brother…die consumes her.
She didn't hear everyone calling her name urgently.
She didn't feel Hestia and Athena trying to calm her.
She didn't feel herself shaking and trembling.
She didn't feel the tears streaming down her face.
She didn't hear her own wails and sobs.
And she definitely didn't hear the words she struggled out.
"He's gone…he's gone…he's gone…my Little Brother is gone…my twin and other half is gone…", she repeats through sobs.
Everyone's eyes widen hearing her words. They now realised that somehow Artemis knew Apollo was dead. Truly dead.
"I'm sorry…I'm sorry…I'm sorry I couldn't protect you…", Artemis cries wrapping her arms around herself to try to keep herself together.
Hestia wraps her arms around Artemis and rocks her trying to calm the hysterical Moon Goddess. Athena also tries but Artemis was inconsolable.
Artemis just kept saying she was sorry and that he was gone.
"Artemis want do you know?" Athena asks trying to get answers.
"Gone…gone our bond broke…only can be broken if we completely fade from existence…he is gone…not coming back…gone", Artemis says starting to go numb.
Everyone was shocked nobody thought Apollo's punishment would lead to his death.
Nobody knew what to say. Or how to console Artemis.
"Athena, Poseidon I want you two to go and investigate. Hestia, Demeter please take Artemis too her Temple", Zeus orders.
"Hermes should get Asclepius for a Godly sedatives for Artemis. I will also go with Hestia and Demeter", Hera says after giving her husband a quick glare.
Hermes immediately runs out. While Hestia and Demeter help Artemis up. They flash her to her Temple. Hera with them.
They sit her on the couch and try to bring comfort to the Moon Goddess. But they knew no words would ever comfort Artemis. Artemis just lost her twin how could they bring her back from that? Their words get no response from Artemis.
Asclepius arrives with Hermes and looks sadly at his Aunt. Hermes had explained to him what happened. He hoped his Aunt was wrong. But he knew his Aunt and Father did have a bond. If anyone would know Apollo was dead it would be his Aunt.
"Pills or Shot?" Asclepius asks softly.
"Shot she is none responsive", Hera says softly.
Asclepius nods and prepares the shot.
"Aunt Artemis I am giving you a sedative you will be able to rest soon", Asclepius tells her, but he knew she probably wasn't hearing him.
He puts it in her arm and administers it.
"Gone…my brilliant little brother gone…I did nothing…he is gone…I didn't save him…", Artemis continues to cry so softly they could barely hear it.
They watch sadly as Artemis's eyes close and she drifts off.
They hoped beyond hope she wasn't feeling pain now. And that somehow Apollo was alive and would come back to her…
