A year had gone by and Sonic had gotten more and more attention.
Shadow would read the paper and find out what Sonic can do now.
Sonic was running when he heard someone crying.
"What's that?" he wondered and followed the sound.
When he found where it was coming from he saw a little orange and white fox with two tails.
"Hey, are you OK?" he asked.
The fox turned and looked at Sonic.
"Yeah. I'm fine." he said.
"You don't look OK. Can I help you?"
"I don't think you can."
"What's wrong?"
"I can't find mommy anywhere. We got separated a few weeks ago and I've been getting bullied because of my tails."
"I think they're cool."
"Really?"
"Yeah. And about your mom, where were you?"
"I don't know. I don't remember what happened."
"Hmm, well do you want to stay with me?"
"Sure!"
"What's your name?"
"It's Miles but I hate it."
"Well, I can think of something else. Hmm. With two tails how about Tails?"
"Yeah!"
"OK then. You ready for an adventure?"
"Yeah! I can fly using my two tails."
"Cool."
Then they started running or flying.
Two months later they were at an island after hearing Eggman was after the Master Emerald.
Sonic had been told by his and Shadow's parents about it and an echidna at an island.
Then they heard something Sonic recognizes.
"Hahaha! You can't beat me!"
Sonic and Tails saw the echidna having trouble so they looked at each other and nodded.
Then they started running and Sonic turned into a ball and hit Eggman.
"Huh?" he and the echidna said together.
"Hey Eggman!" Tails said.
"The hedgehog and fox!" Eggman said.
The echidna looked at them confused.
Then came back and saw Sonic hit the Eggomatic.
Then the echidna went and hit Eggman.
While they fought the echidna was wondering who they were.
Then finally Eggman was gone.
Then they looked at each other.
"Who are you?" the echidna asked.
"I'm Sonic and this is my friend Tails." Sonic said.
"Well thanks for helping me. I'm Knuckles."
"Nice to meet you." Tails said smiling.
"I can see you like fighting." Sonic said.
"Yeah. There's really not that much to do here." Knuckles said.
Sonic and Tails looked at each other and nodded.
"Well, how would you like to join us and we'll call you when we need your help?" Sonic asked.
"Really?" Knuckles said smiling.
"Yeah. We can help Mobius with Eggman."
"OK."
"We need a name though."
"Team Sonic?" Tails said.
Sonic looked at him.
"What? You took me in and just saved the Master Emerald a few minutes ago."
Sonic looked at Knuckles who shrugged.
"OK." Knuckles said.
"Alright then, Team Sonic it is then." Sonic said smiling.
The next day Shadow was at home having breakfast and reading the paper and proud that Sonic just saved another town.
Then he saw a picture of Sonic and two other people.
"And the child will have a team of three. Another part complete. Separation is done. The protection of Mobius is done. And have a team of three. Part three done." he said smiling.
