Tuyo: I'm glad that you decided to continue this in a rewrite, because I really like the OG.

However I would like to point out some criticism. I think Grievous is ooc here and I think the og was better in that regard, especially if you are using legend Grievous. Grievous first of all despises politiques, like he hated so him actually accepting the political marriage like that it's a bit off. Which brings me to my second point, where if you know his story in legend, he has chips in his head that makes more angry than usual, so combine with the fact that he despises politics, well... I don't need to elaborate more.

Which brings me to my last point, him being patient doesn't not make him less frightening and killer. Right now they should be antagonizing each other until they actually find a way to understand each other. In those aspects, I feel your OG is better in that regard. Otherwise keep it up.

I'm so glad you decided to follow along on my new journey to new heights! Lol.

I do want to address your criticism and explain my reasoning for why I changed some aspects.

Grievous has never explicitly said that he hates politics, for fuck's sake, he joins the Separatists to defeat the Jedi and Republic because his people were butchered by them. That is inherently political. I do not think he would hate the internal affairs of the Separatists since Legends!Grievous knew about Lord Sidious and even communicated with him (see also, the 2003 cartoon.) Him accepting the political marriage is actually more in line with the cartoon version of him in 2003 because he is calculating and yet also extremely obedient. Grievous sees Dooku as sort of a savior and feels like he owes him his life because Dooku saved his life. The tampering of Grievous's brain to be more "angry" is actually more of a Canon aspect. In the Legends, the chip planted in his brain was to make him MORE obedient and hateful of the Jedi, it doesn't mean he is quick to anger.

I never said that him being patient made him less frightening, what. If anything the patience makes him MORE deadly and scary because he knows how and when to strike. (See also, the 2003 cartoon where he OBLITERATES several masters and knights in combat.)

I did not want to have Grievous and Seetia argue immediately or even argue like children because that is such a stereotype among straight couples in stories and I am tired of it. Also, Seetia's and Grievous's characters have changed as a result of this rewrite. Seetia isn't confident or outspoken in this version, so she isn't likely to bite back. Grievous just doesn't care to argue with her because for now, he consented to this agreement.

Anyway, thanks for the review and on to the chapter!

The General and Princess walked in silence as Seetia led him down the hall from the throne room. She had every so often glanced up at the General antsy. She wasn't sure how to speak to someone so imposing. It was rare that she even met a person so battle hardened by war and someone who didn't even have to speak to say something.

She got the deep, dreading feeling of anxiety creeping up. She wondered how on Utau would she and Grievous even end up getting along? He was a war machine and poised and oozing confidence and intelligence. And she was a meek, small, halfling who was frail and probably not nearly as experienced as him. And then she wondered how they were supposed to procreate! He was a cyborg… did he even have-

'No, no, no!' She thought to herself as her face went red as a beat. She should not be thinking about that right now! Besides, she knew that there was still time before they had a need for that. Seetia knew that she needed to produce an heir as one of her duties as the future Empress, but the thought of doing that with General Grievous made her anxious and sick to her stomach. She didn't want to break her promise. And apparently, he noticed her unease.

"Are you all right?" His voice was cold and with no genuine concern. It startled her as she yelped and jumped back in surprise. Her gaze met his as she saw his eyes turn confused before he exhaled and looked away when she offered no answer. It took her a second to realize that she had not answered him.

"Um, yes, I-I am." She replied as she stood up straight and barely made a comfortable face. "Anyway, h-here's the f-first room, the Ballroom!" She exclaimed awkwardly as she opened the door to her right with much effort. Grievous helped speed up the process and Seetia was once again reminded of how much physical power he had compared to her.

They entered the Ballroom and Seetia clasped her hand over the other in front of her as she stepped aside to let the General see. Grievous looked around and he took several seconds to look at the expansive room. It was massive, with large Utau emblem drapes over the ceiling-high windows that allowed plenty of light but were now covered. The tables and chairs were all gathered in several corners and the stage was ground level and had several covered instruments. There was dust everywhere and it clearly looked like it hadn't been used in a while. Seetia herself was not the biggest fan of this room but simultaneously loved it. It reminded her of precious memories.

"This one isn't often used, I see." Grievous noted sardonically. Seetia was jolted out of her stupor as she blinked and looked at the General, who looked directly at her. She blushed sheepishly and awkwardly as she nodded.

"Y-Yes. It hasn't been used in years." Seetia answered, averting her gaze slightly, letting her long hair fall in her face briefly. Grievous looked away from her and then nodded once.

"We move on then." His question was phrased as a demand and less of an inquiry. He turned quickly and swiftly as he walked out the door. Seetia followed close behind.

Eventually they had made it to the second floor where the Princess showed Grievous the kitchen, library and study, and other assorted rooms. They were ascending the stairs to the third floor when a small creature flew in front of the Princess with a shocked and flabbergast expression.

"Princess! Is it true? Are you and General Grievous to be wed?" The winged creature asked as she flapped her wings rapidly. Grievous could almost feel the tenseness of the Princess next to him, who looked away from both pairs of eyes with something akin to… shame?

"Yes, Nia. It's t-true…" She said softly. 'Nia' gave the Princess a sympathetic look before patting the girl on the head gently. Grievous quite frankly felt a tad insulted due to Seetia's and Nia's expressions. He was not a pest! However, Nia then flew up to meet him at eye level and bowed gracefully. Already she was a departure from the Princess.

"My Lord, I humbly welcome you to our home. Allow me to introduce myself, I am Nia Wilkilia, Fae and Directress of the Palace and Guardian to the House of Utausi." She introduced formally and elegantly. Oh yes, a massive departure from the Princess, one who he was becoming increasingly irritated with.

"I am General Grievous, but I am sure you already knew that." Grievous introduced apathetically. Nia had at this point straightened up as she smiled politely. "May we continue with the tour, Princess?"

"W-Wha?" The Princess stuttered as she looked up at him with a lost look. Grievous forced himself to steal his nerve as he looked at her pointedly.

"The tour, Princess." He said plainly. Seetia nodded frantically as her eyes went wide from embarrassment.

"O-Of course, General!" She said as she turned to walk up the stairs.

"How about I take over for a bit?" Nia suggested kindly as she flew in between the two. Grievous saw just how relieved the Princess looked as she nodded quickly and muttered something under her breath. Nia giggled at the Princess's comment. The Fae then flew ahead of the two but kept a close distance, allowing them to follow her. "Anyway…"

They passed by many rooms, and looked over almost all of them. There were about 4 doors remaining on the third floor. They entered the first of the four. "This is the observatory, which holds the private collection of maps, atlases, and star charts of our former Empress Aluramia." Nia spoke as the three stood in the aforementioned Observatory. In the center of the room was a massive telescope that was elegant and slim. And surrounding it were several tables and countless bookshelves. Grievous noted just how uncomfortable the Princess stood in the room. Well… more uncomfortable than usual.

"Truly impressive technology you Utauians have." Grievous commented. Nia looked very proud and the Princess only looked even more uneasy.

"Thank you, General…" The Princess said softly yet genuinely, despite her discomfort. Grievous stared at her briefly before he walked out of the room, feeling frustrated. He didn't fail to notice how the Princess looked like she was ready to flee at any moment. Nia quickly followed after him with the Princess a bit behind. They skipped past the last few doors, which the Princess was notably happy to do.

"And this is where you will be staying." Nia said confidently and politely as she opened the last door. Grievous looked around and hummed under his breath. The room was certainly big enough for him with a massive bed, perfect for his size. And while he didn't always need sleep or rest, it was good to have a bed to rest on. Besides, it looked very comfortable. The rest of the room was rather bland with typical furniture but colored in shades of blue and white. There was a door to the right corner that led to the bathroom, which Grievous did not need but then again, he doubted they were ready to accept him as their guest.

"It is suitable." He said tersely. Nia nodded once.

"That is good to hear, my Lord. Now, my Lady Seetia and I will take our leave of you and let you rest." She said politely as she turned to leave. They both paused when they realized that the Princess was no longer in the room with them. The sound of footsteps running across the hall where a door slammed behind them was all they heard. Nia flinched slightly while Grievous stood motionless.

"Apologies, my Lord, Lady Seetia is… sensitive." Nia explained with dignity, though she didn't look too proud of the Princess's actions. Grievous scoffed.

"Apparently." He spat as he turned his back to the Fae, signalling for her to leave. Nia didn't spare him another word as she flew out of the room and out of sight. Grievous stood there for several moments before he walked out of the room quietly and looked over at the door across from his, where the Princess had run into.

To his shock, he heard the faint sounds of muffled sobbing. It was not obvious to anyone but to him due to his superior hearing. He refrained from making noise as he walked back into his room and closed the door, and he could no longer hear her cries. He knew that this was not a favourable situation for either of them but crying? He didn't think she hated him that much.

"She does not hate you…" A small voice whispered.

He blinked in confusion as he looked around quickly, ready to draw his lightsabers. He found that he had no need of them as he saw that there was no one with him. He could have sworn he heard someone in his room with him.

But that voice… a part of him could not help but know that the voice was right. The Princess had no reason to hate him truly…. But it did not ease his concerns and suspicions. Only time would tell.

No matter. He needed rest and he was ready to lie down on that magnificent bed...
