Chapter 2

On an island bustling below Kalos, many trainers are already arriving. It was a huge island, able to sport a huge stadium, its very own commerce, as well as multiple hotels with two pokemon center. A pier has been developed to assure the arrivals of over 20,000 people. And only 256 are chosen to battle to prove themselves in the Elite Tournament.

The Elite Tournament has been established to strengthen the relationship of the regions by providing people to send to compete. It was a prestigous opportunity to be granted, even more for those that a champion to vouch their abilities. Only those recognized with the Mark of the Legendary are allowed to compete.

Near a pokemon center was a group of people awaiting for their friends. "Are you sure they are comming? The opening is about to start." Said by the noticeable person in the group, standing at a 6'2 feet tall with a spiky hair. He was wearing his usual traveling attire, with a noticeable stethoscope with a keystone. "No need to worry. Serena contacted me before they went off two hours ago. They just ran on a minor problem the night before." A blue haired trainer with a white V-necked undershirt on the sleeveless top that is light blue now and her skirt black that is more wavy and reaches her knees. "Hey they have Anabel right? Why can't they just teleport to us?" The white haired trainer asked. She was wearing a helmet, with her white top that is not too tight to move, and a white ruffled skirt with a black leggings beneath. She was holding a riolu in her arms that is half asleep with a lucario besides her. "You know the answer to that Korrina. Ash doesn't want to attract attention. And that is only 1/3 of it, if the Salon Maiden and the Kalos Princess arrives with the Duke of Battle." The young man retorted sporting a dark purple vest with a brown long sleeves under and a baggy brown pants. "Here they come!" The blonde haired trainer pointed to the sky. He was wearing his unusual attire of a black undershirt that has a Lumiose City Gym badge imprint, a vest with a yellow linings, and a bright indigo pants.

The rest of the trainers looked up to the sky and saw a Charizard, Staraptor, and Altaria flying closely. The Charizard was more noticeable however because of the raven haired trainer, and a Pikachu on its shoulder. The Riolu in Korrinas' arm suddenly jumped and waved to its trainer happily. They made way to the open field of the Pokemon Center and backed a little as the flying types landed near them. Pikachu and Riolu ran to each other and started to play in circles with a Prinplup and a Loppuny joining them, and Lucario looking over them.

"Thanks Charizard. Rest for now as I can battle with you later." Then a red beam connected with the fire lizard. The same is done to Anabel and Serena, recalling Staraptor and Altaria. "Hey guys! Whats up?" Ash waved to the group and they are met with hugs and handshakes. "Rocky here is starting to worry that we are going to be late." Paul smirked at his remark that made a soft laughter from the group. "How is the treatments Doc?" Anabel only made a small smile to Brock. Anabel, being an empath could feel like Brock has been stabbed with a poison jab once again. "I think you know the answer to that Anabel." Brock made his way to her and gave her a hug before looking to Ash and patting him in the back. "You alright Ash?" "Yup. Never better Brock." Ash pumped his fist. Anabel and Serena gave a huge smile knowing their worries is at least over. They started to move in two's. Paul and Ash in front, talking about battles and pokemon that they will use, Clemont and Korrina holding hands with Lucario a bit behind them, Brock and Anabel followed by the running pokemons between them and Lucario, and Serena and Dawn lagged a bit behind talking about Ash's nightmare. They were strolling finely towards the stadium, when somebody called out to the two of them.

"Hey! Berlitz!" Dawn tensed up a little knowing the voice while Serena only gritted her teeth with her fist forming a ball. They turned around to see the group of Misty, May, Max, Iris, Cilan, and Trip with grins and smirks. "What do guys want?!" Serena started to move to them, but was restrained by Brock and Anabel. "Oh look. More of the weaklings." Trip sneered at them seeing them restraining Serena. "Hey Brock. Didn't know you would be joining." Max looked at his former companion with eyes of flames that is ready to battle. "Sadly you are wrong Max. I'm not here for the battles, I'm here to take care of some Pokemons." Brocked eyed the young trainer with pity, knowing fully well what happened to him. "What about you blue? You want to battle?" Iris eyed Anabel looking to get a fight from the group that is tensed up now. Anabel only smiled and said, "Sorry, how about you try again when your Dragonite starts to listen to you again." Iris and Cilan was shocked by this, but for Serena, Brock, and Dawn they are only smirking knowing Anabel.

"My, my, what a sight for a sore eyes." A man with a black shirt, with a blue pants motioned towards the group in between. "Especially looking to exhaust their opponents early to ruin their chances to win." The groups then looked at man with different faces. The traitors group was shocked, surprised, angry, and afraid of the man before them, while Serena and the others are smirking now at the arrival of the Dome Manipulator, Gary Oak. "G-Gary?" Misty flinched seeing the Frontier Brain to be in the tournament. The rest moved back a little knowing they can't take two brains on without losing. Serena only struggled but Brock and Dawn restrained her more, seeing her boyfriend's old friends. "Save your energy Serena. You will have your chance, and this is now what he wants." Serena relaxes herself, while the traitors only wondered who is he reffering to. Gary saw this and curled his mouth to a devious grin. "If you guys are wondering about it, then I will tell you who it is." Gary made a dramatic pause, with the others having no intention of stopping him. "His name is Ash." Gary stated the name coldly, as visible sweats were seen at the traitors face, tensed up from his statement. Dawn noticed Ash to be running to them, so she made a quick action. "Quilava, Smoke Screen!" The Johto starter appered on the air and spewed a pitch black smoke that covered the area. The traitors coughed hard, when the smoke clears the found their enemies to be nowhere.

Ash was now being dragged by Serena with the others following them with a wide smile. "Hey uhh... Serena? What was that?" Ash asked seeing their smiles that confused him more. "Ohh nothing much. Just that somebody tried to hit on your girlfriend, and she literally knocked them out before I arrive." Gary smirked at his comment seeing Ash blushed hard at his remark. It was known in the Kalos Region about the Kalos Princess and the Duke of Battle are dating, and there is no time that they are usually swarmed with fans that tried to hit on them both. "Can you guys just stop talking about love life in front of a doctor with a broken heart." Brock stated that earned him a hearty laugh from the group.

Inside the stadium was a deafening cheers, and an excited atmosphere greeted everybody. On the stands are people cheering, and waving to their bets. It was divided, mainly due to there are 6 regions participating and the crowd came from those regions. On the ground was the chosen trainers to participate on the tournament. Some are grouped, and some are pairs or alone. In one side, the traitors are high on their guards trying to find their enemies. In the center, Ash and the others are hidden very well. They had changed their attire prior to the day of the event to hide them well. So far, their plan has already worked. All of the trainers, nonetheless is restless to start, and that is granted when Mr. Goodshow now appeared kn the center stage.

"Welcome! Trainers and Spectators, to the Elite Tournament! This is a once in a lifetime event for those chosen trainers to participate. Among us are 256 talented, skilled, and powerful trainers. And among them, are the Champions that had sent their regal trainers to the event. May I introduce you all to the Champion of 6 regions!" The crowd went wild from the statement. Soon, a Dragonite carrying Lance had descended to the stage representing the Kanto region. Then, a powerful flash appeared as Wallace risen from the water with his Wailord bearing the region of Johto. Steven hovered to the sky with his Mega Metagross, that briefly surrounded Steven in psychic energy and levitated him to the stage, as bearer of the Hoenn region. From the sky, a powerfull wind force made the stadium rock, as a Mega Garchomp appeared with Cynthia on its back as the Sinnoh region powerhouse. From the center of the stadium came the Unova region champion, Alder on his Bouffulant, running to the center. Then, out of nowhere a Mega Gardevoir started to teleport around the stands with Diantha besides it, landing in the stage with the representation of Kalos region.

The sight of the 6 champions made the stage to vibrate from the cheers and applause. It was unnerving for the trainers to see the "6 Champions" all in one spot. For their chosen ones, however were the excitement of being chosen by the champion as their warriors. Mr. Goodshow then moved back to the microphone as the cheers died down. "And now, for the moment you are waiting for. I now announce that the Elite Tournament, STARTED!" And as on cue, a series of fireworks risen and made color to the skies. "Now, to explain the rules, may I have Alder to the front for us to grace us with the formats." The Unova champion made way to the front, "The first and second round of the preliminaries are Tag Battles. From 256, there will be only 64 trainers after this day. Each trainer is only allowed of 1 pokemon per battles today, meaning that you can change your pokemon after the first tag battle, and your partner will also change. The 1st round of the knockouts are Double Battles with no substitutions and two pokemon only. The 2nd round, is a one-on-one to determine those who will be on the Sweet Sixteen. The 3rd round of knockouts will be a 3-on-3 battles. Quaterfinals will be the same but with the restriction of first Pokemon cannot be switched out until the next battle. The Semi's and Finals are full battles." Alder finished his explanation and Mr. Goodshow assumed control once again. "Without further ado..." The trainers are then surrounded in strong psychic powers that teleported them to an island. "These islands will be your battle field. There are a lot of trainers there and all of you are automatically engaged in a battle once you found the first pair you will see. After that, all of you will wait in the stadium for the next pairrings and field assignments." Mr. Goodshow followed.

Ash looked fazed by the teleportation but quickly found his composure. He saw Pikachu on his usual shoulders and behind him was Clemont as his partner. The both had a wide smile on their smile. Serena was paired with Dawn, while Anabel was on an unfavorable side of the pairings, with someone that looks arrogant, but not much as Trip. On the other island, was a strong atmosphere that feared the other pairs and the spectators, as the Strategic Demon Paul, and the Dome Manipulator Gary, got paired up. They both closed their eyes but are confident in their pairing to be strong.

"Well Clemont, it's you and me against those two." Ash pointed behind Clemont two trainers, a girl named Denise and a boy named Troy, throw out a Krokorok and a Absol. Clemont and Ash nodded to each other and, "Pikachu/Luxray, I CHOOSE YOU!" They both exclaimed. Pikachu went front and center with Luxray behind the electric mouse in all fours. A small flying drone made its way to them, and raised a flag, "Battle Begin!" It declared.

"Pikachu use Quick Attack!"

"Luxray cover him with Swift!" Ash and Clemont stated in sync.

"Krokorok intercept with Crush Claw!"

"Protect Absol!" The trainers exclaimed. Pikachu zipped on the field while Swift made contact with the barrier producing an explosion and dust. Krokorok, however stood behind and failed to notice Pikachu to hit him behind the barrier. Krokorok grunted in pain while Pikachu returned to its position.

"Use Thunderbolt Pikachu!"

"Electric Terrain!"

The field become charged with electricity, as a more powerful thunderbolt zoomed faster to the enemy. The electric attack however was walled by the Ground type smirking to its immunity.

"Our turn now. Krokorok Dig and target Luxray!"

"Keep it moving with Psycho Cut!" The trainers ordered their pokemon on the move. Ash smirked and nodded to Clemont which he understood.

"Pikachu Iron Tail to the ground!"

"Luxray jump to dodge and use Swift when Krokorok appears." They both made their orders that they followed to the letter. Pikachu prepared its move as Luxray dodged three Psycho Cuts from Absol. It jumped high as Pikachu smashed the ground to reveal the ground type in shook. Luxray then fired pointed stars to Krokorok that reeled in pain.

"Krokorok!" The ground type landed near its trainer failing to notice Pikachu to Quick Attack the open Absol full power. Absol and Krokorok panted heavily, as Pikachu and Luxray is still going strong.

"Let's end this now, Electro Ball Pikachu!"

"Follow its lead and use Swift again!"

The ball of electricity crackled as it was charging. Krokorok started to move in front of Absol to neutralize it, but becomes fearful of the Swift that was moving faster than the Electro Ball. It made direct contact and the electric move made way to Absol that managed to get its protect in time.

"Luxray Thunder Fang while it can't use Protect!" Clemont took the opportunity seeing the weakness of the pokemon.

"Pikachu get in there with a Quick Attack and Iron Tail combo!" Pikachu complied and was side by side with a charging Luxray. And the result was as expected.

"Krokorok and Absol is unable to continue. The victory goes to Pikachu and Luxray!" The drone made its call and Pikachu and Luxray celebrated. Ash and Clemont high fived each other as they are teleported back. On the stadium, Dawn and Serena appeared while glaring at Anabel's partner that is uninterested at the group. Paul and Gary appeared at the same time with a huge smirk on their faces. "This is too easy." Paul exclaimed that made Trip turn his attention to him and take his attention. The two entered a heated glare contest only to see each other again teleported to the same spot with Ash and Paul, against him and a random trainer named Phoe.

JUST A NOTE: I THINK I HACE BADLY DESIGNED THE OUTFITS OF THE CHARACTER, SO IM JUST APOLOGIZING ALREADY...
