AN: Couple people were upset at how powerful Naruto is, I mean I said he is OP (Over Powered) but is what it is. On top of that I have always believed with the massive amount of chakra he has with proper training from a young age he would be a monster from a early age. I am sure that people will complain about the Jiraiya/Zabuza interaction here as well, look forward to reading your complaints.

Chapter 5: Battle for the Bridge!

There hadn't been more then a few words said to Ino from Naruto over the last couple of days that they were doing sentry duty on the bridge. More or less the only time he spoke to her about anything was saying to 'Forget about it' or in regards to their job. She had quickly come to the realization that it was her answer to his question that had upset him to such a degree. Though she had continued to try and talk to him about it, every time she brought it up he told her to forget about it. To be honest every time he said that she had the urge to hit him, to instead make him listen to her. Today though, she wasn't going to take no for an answer, she would make him listen to her today, "Naruto... about your question."

Said teen let out a sigh as he stood there next too her, their trained eyes watching Tazuna and the other people work on finishing the bridge, "I said to forget about it Ino..."

There it was again, the urge to smack him upside his blond head. She resisted it, though partially wanting to give in to it, and looked at Naruto who was just watching the people work, "No we need to talk about it Naruto."

Shaking his head in clear disagreement as he looked from the bridge builders to her, "There is nothing to talk about Ino. I just read to much into a situation is all. I was dumb to ask the question, its common knowledge that you like Sasuke Uchiha just like all the other girls so just drop it, I don't want to talk about it."

The blond teen boy stopped leaning on the rail next to her and walked away, he went and stood next to Jiraiya and Kiba leaving Ino to sigh,"He just won't talk to me about it... I guess my answer really crushed him..."

The platinum blond pushed off the railing as well and walked over to them to stand next to Naruto. That was when a familiar, but more bloodthirsty, wave of blood lust washed over them. Jiraiya looked around, knowing full well that it was Zabuza and his minions. The Genin all got ready as Naruto threw kunai all over the bridge to prepare for his Flying Thunder God. Naruto then put his hands on Kiba and Ino, putting his seal on them without them knowing, "Get ready."

A bit of mist cleared and there he stood with the same two Hunter Nin that were suppose to have 'dealt with his body'. Their fallback plan had been a success against Jiraiya and his team, they fell for the trick. Naruto looked at them as saw that they were standing just in front of one of his kunai. Naruto put his hand on his katana and flashed, swinging the blade as he came out of his teleportation jutsu. The blade elegantly slicing through one of the Hunter Nin. He reached for the other and barely touched their clothes. That was enough though for Naruto to put a seal on the Hunter Nin before flashing back behind Ino and Kiba with the seals that he had on them.

Within that couple second differential, Zabuza and the other Hunter Nin saw their teammate drop to the ground. They looked to see the blood on Narutos blade, though the blond was flicking the blade to get the blood off of it, "That chakra control training made me faster it seems.. that will make me even more capable of protecting everyone."

Looking over at Jiraiya, who gave him a nod of approval, Naruto walked in front of his team members and stood next to his godfather. Zabuza looked at the boy next to him and nodded his head, "Haku, you take on the blond boy, he will be able to give you a problem the longer you fight, so deal with him quickly."

Haku nodded and flashed at Naruto with incredible speed that Naruto was barely able to follow with his eyes. Just barely being able to bring his blade up in time to block Hakus kunai with his sword. Haku nodded as he leapt back, Naruto gave a breath of relief as Haku spoke, "Your fast for someone so young, you may have made a good ninja if you would have lived past today. That is, unless you run now, this is the only chance I will give you that way I do not have to kill you."

Naruto smiled as he put his blade in front of him again then flashed with his Flying Thunder God Jutsu behind Haku. Naruto quickly went to swing his sword but Haku flipped forward a couple of times. Haku turned around to see Naruto standing there with a little bit of blood on his sword. That was when Haku felt the stinging sensation from the cut on his back, "How are you able to do that?"

Shrugging his shoulders as he looked at Haku the blond boy gave a smirk, "I have no intentions of losing my life here today, I still have to become the Hokage. Perhaps you should be the one to consider running away."

The fake Hunter Nin laughed a little behind his mask as he flashed at Naruto again. The blond blocked his kunai again, Haku had expected that though and jumped up into the air, raining senbon down on him. Naruto quickly used his jutsu again and appeared behind Haku and slashed down his back, leaving a good wound but accidentally cutting his seal as well.

Haku gasped in pain then put his feet on Naruto, using him as a springboard to push away from him. When he landed he went down to one knee as he winced in pain from the new cut. Naruto saw this as the perfect opportunity, one he would be foolish not to take advantage of, especially in a life and death battle. Naruto tried to use his jutsu to teleport to his seal but it failed.

Standing there, obviously confused, Naruto wondered why his jutsu didn't work. That was when he realized what he had done. Naruto started to swear at himself mentally for that, irritated that he hadn't put the seal on the boys skin. Annoyed Naruto sheathed his sword, something that Haku found to be odd, then opened his kunai holster. He drew one of his kunai, throwing it with pinpoint accuracy at right between where Hakus eyes would be. Haku caught the kunai with ease, seeing as Naruto telegraphed the entire attack, then Naruto flashed grabbing Hakus hand as well as his mask, putting seals on them both as Haku moved away from him.

The Hunter Nin looked at the kunai, seeing the seal that was on the handle of the kunai. He looked at his hand to see the seal there as well then looked back at Naruto, "Ah I see, you are using a transportation jutsu, that is high level stuff for a Genin. What is your name boy?"

Naruto stood straight up, looking over at Haku while keeping his guard up though trying to lure him into an attack, stretched as little, "My name is Naruto Namikaze, son of the Fourth Hokage Minato Namikaze."

Haku stood wincing a little in pain from the large slash on his back, "I need to end this fast or else I will faint from blood loss" and Naruto watched as Haku did an unknown hand sign, "Demonic Mirroring Ice Crystals."

Naruto watched as he was surrounded by the 21 mirrors of Hakus Kekkei Genkai, though he didn't know it was a Kekkei Genkai at the moment. Haku slipped into the closest mirror and then suddenly there was a Haku that appeared in all of the mirrors. Naruto looked around and groaned, this wasn't going to end well for him it seemed then Haku flashed and threw a barrage of senbon at him.

Naruto flashed away to one of his kunai on the bridge, giving a sigh of relief as there would have been no way to not take damage from that attack. That was when he heard another mirror appear behind him as Haku came out of it with his kunai. The blood lust surrounding the boy had changed, this was the most serious that Naruto had felt it get this whole fight.

Using his technique to go to the seal that was on Hakus hand, he barely escaped the attempted stab in his back. Naruto grabbed Hakus hand and pulled him out of the mirror, slamming the rogue Kiri ninjas head into the bridge. The mask broke and Naruto looked at him, seeing that the boy was not much older then he was, decided to try and be merciful one more time, "I will still let you run away."

Looking up at Naruto, Haku saw that Naruto held his arm in a position that one wrong move would end in him breaking his own arm. Haku and Naruto stared at each other, then Haku broke his own arm, something that actually shocked the young blond man. Naruto watched as he jumped back into his mirrors for safety. Naruto looked at Haku, shaking his head with a sigh as he did that, then Naruto looked over at Jiraiya who was about to hit a very bloodied Zabuza with a rasengan.

This was something that Haku had noticed as well and painfully made his hand sign to make another mirror in front of Zabuza. Haku came out of the mirror just in time, taking the rasengan to the chest, the force of the jutsu sending him into the mirror and shattering it. Naruto watched as all the other mirrors turned into water and fell onto the bridge.

What the boy saw next was something that he couldn't believe, watching as Zabuza swung through Hakus body to try and kill Jiraiya. The white haired Sannin was frozen up, the image of a young boy that he once knew due to his teammate Tsunade, flashing through his mind. The young man was left speechless at Zabuza, the man who was showing no care for the young boy who had just willingly died to protect him.

His eyes went wide as the boy was chopped into two different halves, Jiraiya taking a deep cut to his side though not fatal. Zabuza started to laugh maniacally, "Useful until the end huh Haku... I will deal with you later Jiraiya, first I will kill your Genin and the bridge builder. That wound and Hakus dead body clinging to you will definitely slow you down!"

The bandaged rogue ninja ran at Ino and Kiba, Kiba tried to attack Zabuza but was kicked out of the way. Zabuza gave a quick glance at the now unconscious Kiba, then his gaze settled on Ino. The platinum blond kunoichi stood in front of Tazuna in a defensive position, ready to fight til the end as Zabuza charged at her. Naruto used his jutsu and the seal he had on Ino and got there just in time, he put his katana through the hole towards the end of Zabuzas blade and grabbed it, cutting his own hand in the process.

Ino looked at Naruto in shock as he coughed up a little blood, though not loosening his grip on his own blade. Naruto looked down and saw that the tip of Zabuzas blade was currently located in his chest. Zabuza let out a laugh as he looked at the blond boy, "You took the hit for your teammate, killed my one helper and even hurt Haku decently before he died. I must admit, your pretty impressive for a Genin, even if you are Minato's son... its a shame that you die here today. Had you lived I may have taken you with me to become my new weapon, I am obviously in need of better ones."

The glare on the boys face at that last comment made Zabuza narrow his eyes. That was when all of a sudden red chakra started to swirl around Naruto and he felt a power he had never felt before coursing through his chakra network, "Whats happening to me?"

Letting go of the blade of his katana, Naruto grabbed the executioner blade by the top and pulled it out of his chest slowly. The shock sending him down to his knees as he panted, feeling the blood come out of his chest. Naruto then watched as the wound close on its own, astonishing both of the blond teens as well as Zabuza. Naruto looked up at Zabuza who had started to laugh, "It looks like Konohagakure has a demon of its own!"

He had no idea how right he was as Narutos eyes turned red as his K9 turned into full fledged fangs. His whisker marks became more distinguished, as well as his fingernails turning into something that resembled claws. Naruto looked up at Zabuza and then flashed, kicking him hard in the stomach sending him flying.

Seeing that he had kicked Zabuza away from his executioner blade, Naruto put his hand on it. Zabuza smirked, figuring the blade would be to much weight for the young teen. Naruto lifted it out of the ground with one hand without showing any sort of strain on his body. Zabuza looked at him in shock as he lifted his blade, pointing it towards the black haired man, "How can a little Genin wield my blade without any issues!? WHAT ARE YOU!?"

Giving a sinister smile as he looked at Zabuza, the blond teen then flashed towards him. Jumping up into the air, he brought the executioner blade down on him, killing him by splitting him down the middle. Jiraiya came over, holding the wound on his side and Naruto looked at his hands as he felt the power receding back into him. Naruto then noticed that the blade became too heavy for one hand, "What happened to me Jiraiya-sensei?"

Said man looked at him and then patted him on the shoulder as he looked at the dead Zabuza, "You tapped into your Kyuubi Chakra for the the first time it seems. You did good Naruto, you were completely stupid and reckless again but... you did good."

Giving a brief smile to Jiraiya, he then looked at the executioner blade. He picked it up with both hands, though he was still straining a little too hold the blade. With the amount of training that he did he was a bit surprised by that. He had done a lot of kenjutsu training, though he would need to increase the amount if Jiraiya would grant his request, "Do you think that I can keep this Jiraiya-sensei?"

Looking at the blade the Sannin nodded his head then looked back at Kiba who was shaking his head. He was shaking off the hit but Jiraiya also saw a look of frustration and determination on his face. Kiba was clearly frustrated by the fact that he had been tossed aside like a flea by Zabuza. Jiraiya and Naruto walked over to the group, making sure everyone was okay.

Ino was still in shock from what Naruto had done, he could have died saving her but he never even hesitated. The platinum blond girl dove at him, wrapping her arms around his neck. Naruto looked at her in surprise, a small pink tint on his cheeks, as she clung to him tightly then moved her lips to his ear, "I think you are amazing Naruto."

Said teens eyes widened as she said that, that was when she released him from the hug. Ino went to make sure that Kiba was alright, not suffering from any concussion like symptoms or broken bones, anything that could delay their job. Naruto stood there, still in shock from what Ino had said, as he looked at her. Naruto then turned his attention to Jiraiya and his cut. Naruto pulled out the medical supplies, they didn't have a medic on their team, but they knew how to stop bleeding since no internal organs had been hit.

Once they had him all stitched up and the wound wrapped the bridge builders went back to work. Luckily after what Naruto had done no one dared to even try and attack the bridge again. Once they were able to complete the bridge in another week it was time for Team 10 to start making their way back to Konohagakure.

The members of the Wave Country that were thankful to the Konohagakure Nin watched as the left. Another member of the community looked at Tazuna, asking him what he was going to name the bridge, "I can only think of one name worthy of this bridge, 'The Great Naruto Bridge.' After all, it is because of him that we were able to even finish this bridge."

As they were walking back to the Village Naruto was looking over at Ino. He hadn't been able to say anything to Ino since what she whispered in his ear, every time she talked to him he turned bright red and would stutter on all of his words. To be honest, Ino found it actually pretty cute, but she wanted him to actually talk to her as well. Naruto finally was able to get the nerve to talk to the blond teen girl though, "I.. Ino?"

Said girl looked back at him then slowed down her walking pace. As the two of them started to walk side by side, she looked over at him giving a small smile, "Yeah?"

He was a bright crimson red again, it was clear that he was nervous about talking to her, "Um.. wha.. what did yo.. you mean by sa.. saying tha.. that you thi.. think I am ama.. amazing?"

Ino looked at him, starting to blush a little as well and then they continued too walk, "You asked what I thought of you back in that stream, that is what I think."

The blond teen boy had a small smile as they walked, that was until he thought of something. That was when his smile faded away, "I.. I thought y.. you liked Sasuke though?"

The platinum blond had thought about that, it was a dilemma for her since she did still like the Uchiha as well as Naruto. She also couldn't seem to figure out which one she liked more. Sasuke had been all she wanted for years, but Naruto was all she ever seemed too think about anymore, "It is possible for a girl too like two guys you know."

It was clear that Naruto didn't like that answer, letting out a silent sigh as he felt his nervousness leaving as he looked back at Ino. He started to pick up his pace as he walked after responding to her again, "... oh... well I hope you get whatever it is you want in the end Ino..."

Said girl had noticed that he didn't stutter on his words that time. Not only that but his voice sounded a little sad, "Naruto... hey Naruto, what's wrong?"

Naruto looked over his shoulder at her and gave a small smile before looking ahead, "Nothing is wrong Ino.. all I said was I hope you get what you want in the end.."

They continued to walk for about fifty feet and Ino had yet too stop looking at him, knowing full well that wasn't everything. Naruto thought about it before letting out a defeated sigh as he looked back at her. He knew her to well, if he didn't elaborate on it she would just pester him until she got what she wanted, which would also leave him relatively annoyed. Also knowing that it didn't matter if he protested, she would somehow make him talk, "But it won't be me as long as I have to compete with Sasuke for your affections. You should pick who will make you happy, that is what I want for you.. after all your my oldest friend."

With that he walked ahead of her with his katana on his hip now and his new executioner blade on his back. Ino was a little stunned by what he had just said to her. With how she was guessing he felt about her she never expected that response from him. She followed after them all and continued too look at Naruto the whole way home, there was definitely something different about him.

As the blond teen boy continued too walk with his team, he was deep in his own thoughts about a certain other blond,"I hope she doesn't pick him... she shouldn't pick someone she has act different for. She should pick someone who can make her happy with her all the while being herself, even if its not me..."

They returned to Konohagakure not long after that, checking in with the Chunin that were posted on gate duty. Once they were cleared to reenter the village they headed straight to the Hokage's office. Once they gave their report to Minato, he looked at them all with concern, saying that they would tighten up things on their offices end.

Both Jiraiya and Minato had both agreed that the fact that a Genin team was sent on a mission of this caliber was ridiculous. Luckily, since there had been a Sannin there the mission went relatively without a hitch. Any other Genin team, outside of possibly Might Guys team, die on that mission. Minato also informed the Genin that they all will get paid with compensation for the mission turning out to be a A Ranked Mission. Also saying that their mission records would record an official A Ranked mission completion. He looked at Naruto, not missing the giant blade on his sons back, "On top of that, Naruto will get a bingo book bonus for killing Zabuza Momoichi as well as the Demon Brothers." The news of this surprising the young blond teen boy as the stacks of bills piled up in front of him.
