Chapter 7: Deals whether it be Bad or Good

Nya's POV

She had me pinned to the ground, my arm painfully being held behind my back. Cole and Zane went into a fighting position. I think Cole was literally going to pounce on her. The light brunette spun the broom in her hand and then broke it in half. She pointed the sharp end towards my boyfriend.

"Don't come any closer." She threatened, her eyes narrowed at him. "You are going to leave my family's store- no tricks- and only then will I let her go." She motioned her head towards me.

"Yeah I don't think so." I spoke up from underneath her. I pushed myself up, forcing her to lose balance. With that chance, I stood up, dropped her onto the floor, catching the broom, and pointing it at her, "I'm tougher than I look."

She huff angrily, "I'm not telling you anything."

"Sorry sweetie but it looks like we have the upper hand here." Cole said standing beside me.

"Please we need you to cooperate. Our Sensei is missing and the ones who took him lead us to your shop." Zane looked down at the young woman. "We only have a few questions."

"Our shop." Another voice came from behind us. Emerald color crystals rose from the ground, pushing the broom I held and making it fly up into the air. The crystals surrounded us like cages. The light brunette ran to the girl that conjured them. "You okay?" The new girl asked her.

"I'm fine." The light brunette dusted herself off, "I didn't need your help, Adaline."

"Well it kinda looked like you did lil' sis." The Crystal conjurer looked at her sister, placing her hands on her hips.

They started to talk in a hushed tone while I looked back at Zane and Cole. Cole was touching the crystals that was separating us from each other, encased us like a cage. "A master of crystals?" He asked.

I shrugged and Zane responded with, "Master Wu or Garmadon has never informed us of this element or life."

"And I think they should since the tournament. Who knows how many elemental Master there are." I looked back at the sisters as they walked towards us.

"What do you want?" The older one asked me as the younger one stood behind her.

It seemed like she was protecting her. It reminded me of how Kai would protect me back at Ignacia and well still here. Even with my water powers. Wait that's it. I cleared my throat, "I know your only trying to protect her but my team and I need your sister's help."

"I can protect myself—" The younger one protested, moving to stand beside her sister. Just like me when I wanted people to know that I was strong without Kai.

Adaline intervened, "Then you should know that I won't allow you or your team to put her in danger. Just look what happened to Stixx, Ninja. And with her element she's in greater danger."

"Because of her element of Life?" Zane asked, "A unique element indeed and can be very useful."

"Yup! It's pretty powerful."

"Mikayla shush!" Adaline hissed, turning her head to look at her. Mikayla frowned and crossed her arms.

"And it can help us. Our master's life was threatened and unless the element of life joins us, they won't give him back." I looked over at the young Life master. Her frown disappeared and she looked up at me with sad eyes.

"I'm sorry about that but my mind is made up." Adaline spoke, my gaze turning to her. "Now please leave our store and don't return." With a wave of her hand, the crystals grew, pushing us out of the store. I can see Mikayla looking at us before the crystals sealed all the remaining exits.

Cole knocked at the door, pounded and tried to open it with no avail. I placed a hand on his back, "It's no hope. Adaline won't change her mind. But Mikayla..."

He turned to look at me with an eyebrow raised, "What are you talking about?"

I smiled and looked at Zane. I could tell that the nindroid understood what I meant.

Cole still had a blank stare. I chuckled and explained, "Let's just stay in Stixx until sundown. I have a feeling we might have an unexpected visitor."

Jay POV

Darkness. That's all I saw once my body made contact with the ground. It was all—Ah no. Sorry I was trying to be dramatic but it doesn't work out for me. Guess if I had that drama chip implant it would. Get the reference? No? It's okay.

Anyways, my vision was a bit blurry but it didn't last long. I hope I don't have a concussion. My fall was pretty high but I feel fine. Now if only I had light so I can see.

Oh wait! I facepalmed myself and just remembered my element. Lightning. Practically has light in its name. My element engulfed my hand, casting light to my surroundings. But there was nothing. No Kai or Lloyd lying on the ground passed out or anything.

Kai!

I looked around frantically searching for him. It's too dark. I can't see a thing, only where I was casting light. Wouldn't he also use his element for some light? Uh Lloyd too. Then maybe I can spot them.

I looked around to see if in the distance I can spot anything shinning through the darkness but to no avail. Well that didn't work and I can't just stand here so I began to walk, making sure NOT to trip on anything.

"Think positive Jay." I whispered to myself, "Power of positive thinking, am I right?" I nervously chuckled.

To be honest I'm kinda freaking out right now. What happened? I was talking with Kai, laughing, and then POOF I was falling. We were falling. Lloyd too. But if we fell altogether, shouldn't they be here with me? But I don't see them. I don't see Kai. OR or the kid. Yeah the kid's missing too.

I felt a breeze pass by as if someone was running pass me. "Kai? Lloyd?" I called out, praying that it wasn't a bad idea. It could be them. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. Well nothing happened so that's good. I think.

But what was that breeze? I pondered, my focus shifting to the ground.

"Jay?"

I jumped as I heard my name being called in the distance. I looked up at the direction the noise was coming from to spot— Fire! A faint flame was burning. Kai! He's alright! Oh thank Spinjitzu Master. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding when his figure was more visible and recognizable. Yup there are those spikes. But the master of fire wasn't with Lloyd.

I started to run towards him and when he was a few inches away I stopped and asked, "Where's Lloyd?"

He shrugged, "Haven't seen him. I just woke up. You okay?"

"Oh great." I sarcastically replied looking around. At least I found you. But Lloyd's still missing.

Kai rolled his eyes, "Stay positive."

"What I was earlier! And yeah I'm fine."

"Okay whatever. So where are we? Weren't we in the center—"

"Of the Lost city of Oroborus!" I snapped my fingers, remembering something that might just help us. Kai raised a brow, "Don't you remember Kai? The OverLord and Pythor built kinda like a basement for their spaceship Arcturus underneath the lost city." I gestured to the darkness around us.

"So we fell inside there. But I don't remember it being so big." He moved his fingers within his flame as he spoke.

That's right! "Yeah I don't either. Someone must be living down here and doing renovations. But haven't payed their electricity bill." I smiled.

"Well let's see if we can find Lloyd." Kai smiled. I nodded.

The rest of the walking was in silence as we focused on the task ahead. We called out Lloyd's name here and there to receive no response. We reached a wall to the side of us and stayed closed to it as we continued to walk until I bumped into another wall in front of us.

So instead of tripping, I will bump into things. That's waaay better. I rolled my eyes. I think I like tripping better.

"Ouch." I rubbed my nose while Kai brought his flame closer to the wall. It was a plain, boring, dark wall with no visible door to exit from.

Kai sighed, "Well we reached a dead end."

"Ew. Don't say that." I looked over at him and felt the wall for any hidden levers or buttons or anything that will bring us to a secret room.

"Where can Lloyd be?" The fire master inquired with a concerned tone, looking around at the darkness.

"I don't know but I'm sure he's fine." I continued my search while reassuring him.

"Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!"

A shrill scream spread through the darkness. I covered my ears in pain and turned to find Kai doing the same thing.

"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH"

As it kept going, the volume got louder and closer. I can hear Kai's muffled voice say something like, "Hey it's humming closet to bus. See have to bide."

"What?" I asked him. He frowned annoyed about repeated himself. "What?" I asked again. I really couldn't hear him.

He groaned and blew out his flame. Darkness surrounded me again. "Kai?" I asked, feeling around for him. I felt a hand grab mine and pull me along somewhere.

I ran trying to keep up and then was pushed against a wall. A breath escaped my lungs as -I'm pretty sure is Kai- shushed me. "Shhhh." Yup that's him. I would've complained but decided not to since our predicament.

The screaming had begun to fade and I can finally hear my own heartbeat. Hang on a tic. I looked down at my hand which was pointless since it's dark and I can't see. But- but I could feel. His hand was still holding onto mine. It was pretty warm compared to mine. Man his grasp on it was pretty tight, but not that tight. Just perfect.

Does he know he's holding my hand? I thought to myself.

I leaned back against the wall and felt his arm right next to mine. Kai was leaning on it too. He exhaled and let my hand go. Awww. I can't tell a lie my smile was upside down now. I wanted to reach out and grab it so I can hold it again. But nope! Nope that'll be so weird. And what will I tell him?! Yup nope. Wait what am I talking about? No never mind all that. I don't wanna— Forget it all!

I wiped my sweaty hand against my shirt and waited for Kai to say something. To give the coast is clear or anything but instead the wall behind us opened and we went sliding down below.

Nya's POV

Sundown came faster than I had expected and like Zane and I theorized a young woman walked towards us. She hung her head which caused her face to be hidden in the shadows of her pink hoodie. It must be her, I thought and stood up to approach her.

She stopped a few inches ahead of me, "You expected me to come?"

I responded, "I had a feeling you would want to help, Mikayla. Or at least get away from an overprotective sibling." Her green eyes meet with my silver ones and I saw here small flower tattoo on her left check.

She smiled, "I'm guessing you know from experience. Older sister?"

"Brother." Mikayla looked behind me and I shook my head, "Neither one of those. This is Zane and this is Cole, my boyfriend. We are the Ninja."

Zane and Cole greeted her and she did the same. " I know who you guys are. I saw the fight between the Ninja and the ghosts." She looked at Cole, "Boyfriend? Hehe no wonder you were ready to kill me. That's so cute." Mikayla giggled. "Yeah you guys have powers like my sister and I. Elemental masters. So what do you want me to do?"

"Why did you change your mind?" Zane asked her.

She looked down, "Well I have this gift from my mom and I haven't done anything with it. Then when I saw you guys. You guys truly seemed concerned and scared for your Master's life. You came to me for help and what did I do? I rejected you guys and put you under my foot." She motioned to me, "So I realized I couldn't just stay there, clean and do nothing like always. I want to help."

I smiled at her, "Well we are truthfully grateful for you helping us—"

"But with some conditions, " I looked at her with confusion. She smiled, " First: You'll teach my spitjitzu, airjitzu and to fight. That way I can defend myself. Second: I'll be out of harms way. I have to come back to my family or else I can't imagine how horrible it'll be. Last but not least: I will NOT use my power. Deal?"

"Not use your power? No deal." Cole quickly spoke.

"We will need time to decide." Zane requested and we huddle up. "What do you believe we do, team?"

"Nothing and find another way."

"Give her what she wants." Cole and Zane mimicked confusion. I breathed, "We might not require her powers now and we need her."

"Fine" Cole shrugged, still not convinced.

"Alright' Zane agreed and I nodded. We turned to look at the young master.

She outstretched her hand, "Do we have a deal?"

I shook it, "Yes."

Jay POV

I'm so tired of all these booby traps! First Lloyd, then Master Chen, and now whoever these guys are. Seriously is it to hard to think of another way to capture us. Oh yeah Kai and I slid into some cage. Once we stood up, the floor opened to reveal chains that tied us up against the cages metal wall.

Kai struggled against his restraints. I tried my element to no avail. Our powers didn't work on it, so I'm sure it's made out of vengestone, "It's vengestone Kai." I informed him.

"Very perceptive master of Lightning." An unfamiliar voice spoke. Kai and I both looked at the stranger outside of our cage. He had red hair tied up into a ponytail and an eyepatch on his left eye. He looked like a pirate.

"Who are you?" Kai hissed. I looked at him but then back at the stranger when he talked.

"Wouldn't you like to be informed?" He smiled down at us, revealing a gap between his two front teeth.

He whistled and two people appeared out of thin air. Each on the sides of him. One was a guy with light brown, long hair falling over his eyes. He wore a dark purple sweater with a trench coat on top. And a smirk played his lips as he looked at Kai and I.

Glad he's enjoying this, I thought sarcastically.

The other one was a red head girl. She had very bright blue lipstick. Like bright bright blue. Kinda hurt my eyes. Her arms was wrapped around something or someone. She struggled to hold nothing. There was nothing just her outfit: silver tank top, with two strips of silver cloth that drape over either side of her hip, slightly covering her navy blue jeans.

"At the moment Ninja, take into consideration cautiously of what Velescure is announcing." The pirate looking guy's deep voice said as he unlocked our cage and walked in towards Kai and I.

The other two followed him in. He continued, "Velescure proceeds to inquire an act of kindness from you. Velescure is conscious that you'll concur with him."

"What makes you so sure?" Kai narrowed his eyes at him. This guy uses some pretty big vocabulary, which intimidates me so I am /so/ happy that Kai is talking back to him. Thank you Kai!

Velescure (Why is he referring himself in third person? I don't know) turned his gaze from me to him. A grin played his lips, "Velescure has an advantage."

With a snap of his fingers, the girl closed her eyes only to open them with Lloyd in her grasp. She /was/ holding onto something. Or in this case someone.

"Lloyd!" Kai and I yelled at the same time. The kid looked fine overall, his arms being held back by vengestone handcuffs. Thank Spinjitzu Master.

"You will give Velescure your attention." Lloyd's muffled protests were ignored when Kai and I nodded, defeated. "Deal. You will reclaim an exceptional antiquity for Velescure. Antiquity befits it's epithet: Vela de Deseos."

Is that French? I'm kidding. I know it's Spanish. What? I make jokes to lighten the situation. It helps me.

Back to Velescure, he instructed, "Three mornings and two nights, Velescure will encounter you along with your team once more." He placed his hand in his pocket and took out photos of me, Kai, Nya, Cole, Zane, Lloyd, and some girl. He threw them on the floor, "Don't fail me."

With that, darkness surrounded us once again, growing until it was completely dark. I heard a click and my hands were free from the chains. Kai immediately engulfed his hand in fire, setting light.

They were gone.

His flame was put out since the darkness disappeared replaced with light. I looked over at Kai. He seemed to be deep in thought as he looked down at the photos Velescure threw.

Should I say something? I thought, also looking down. There was vines around my feet and Kai's. What stood out about them was that they were in the shape of chains.
