Chapter seven
Mulder, William and LOKI dressed in human clothing even though he will be able to be in this reality for 24 hours until he's able to get back into his environment suit. Mulder was checking over the truck with the gas, oil and brakes since most of the road was going to be rugged getting to see General Wilcox at the Observatory grounds.
Scully, Doggett and Monica watched them drive off. It was going to be a two hour drive to reach the observatory and General Wilcox.
Loki and William explained further why they want to come to Earth to live. "Mulder our race is dying out with many of our people not able to conceived due to radiation poisoning. I really don't on whether coming to Earth will help with each of the generations will survive." Loki will mention with extreme emotion and Mulder understanding.
"You see Loki our son William was a test tube experiment and he turned out to have powers that certain governments would like to captured him and his powers to use against other countries and the United States." Mulder will say to Loki and William indicating that he was going to run away again to hide in two weeks.
"What if I am able to help in this matter Loki by removing those powers and make his actually human again and live a normal life without running away?" Loki will mention this to them with both men curious.
"Your people can do this Loki with helping William to become normal?" Fox Mulder will have to say on the subject.
"Yes, we can. We will place William under a tube over his head with electrodes for where these powers or energies with his body is removed. This process takes some 24 hours and it's draining once the subject is removed from it to sleep at least 24 hours. otherwise there are no side effects with the subject and he or she can live a normal life."
"Loki this sounds promising and I am willing to try it after we figure out how to save your race and yourself?" William will reply forgetting about the other person in the equation.
"William did you forget about your mother? She will be needing a say on the subject matter. There is always a possible chance that the device might not work and kill you."
"I have forgotten to mention that there is a very small chance of failure with leaving the subject brain dead. However our specialists have been able to figure out why with coming up with a certain hormone that will help with the process." Loki will respond with the truth of the matter.
"I will discuss it with mother and see what she has to say on the subject. It's either that or disappear again and I don't think mother and yourself Mulder that you or her will able to cope again with my lost?"
"I agree William. Your mother is already a basket case even though she is carrying another child that is actually mine." Mulder announced with Mulder knowing the truth.
"Yes, I know father. When I jumped into the harbor after killing Cigarette man I heard you two talk on the pied for when she mention to you that she was pregnant to be a complete surprise."
As they continued on with the drive. They were finally arrived to the main gate with no guard and calling the general in his office as the intercom was connected.
"Yes, who is this calling me?" General Wilcox will say over the intercom since he was half asleep.
"General it's Agent Fox Mulder, I called you about us coming with our little friend for I won't mention over the intercom. Can we come inside the grounds?" Mulder had to asked with looking over at the both of them.
"Please come to the main entrance I will opened the gate for you, Mulder. I will meet you outside." The gate opened and Mulder continued to drive on up to the main complex of the observatory.
Moments later General Wilcox moved out with his flashlight searching for something when he saw the truck and the three of them. Fox Mulder moved out of the truck all stiff and anxious as he was able to introduce the two.
"General Wilcox this is William my son and this is Loki I spoke about wearing human clothing without his environment suit."
"It's good to meet you, Loki. I do hope that we, us humans will be able to help you." General Wilcox will have said with moving everyone inside the building and his office to talk.
Moments later Loki was explaining the situation with samples taken from the outer layer of their ozone level. It was placed into a silver container for which Wilcox will be able to look under a special scope and check the density of the atmosphere and radiation levels.
"I can let you know right away what is going on Loki before deciding on whether to talk with the President of the United States and other governments." Wilcox have mention to the alien with not giving up hope on his home planet.
"Do you think that you're able to help Loki with their problem Wilcox?" Mulder had to say on the matter.
"I won't know for sure until I check out the properties of this container and go from there. Please stay here for an hour. Since I will be wearing all types of environmental suits working behind a glass wall to open up the container and find out if it has any airborne diseases."
The three of them stayed back in order to let the specialist to work on Loki's problem. Wilcox mention that there were drinks and food in the other room if they were interested in eating.
Moving into the special made lab. General Wilcox placed the contents inside onto a special plate and turned on the scope to find out the properties.
Right away the computer terminal had brought up the list of chemicals made up inside to show the Bethro rays or rather radiation poisoning and decay of the ozone levels missing the broken down of the protection of the planet's population.
There were other chemicals that he was able to define on the terminal and how to be rid of it. However what Loki's people had to do with the science teams is to seed the outer layer with a special ultra violent signal to closed up the ozone level and place a chemical destroying the Bethro rays. It's going to take a week or so for it to take effect.
