It is common to think ninjutsu is solely used to cause subterfuge, assassination, and sneaking around unseen. It is noted in history common everyday villagers rose to take down a great evil, with weapons forged from a master blacksmith, four brothers along with their friend. Nunchaku , Sais, Twin Katana, Bō staff. These four weapons where once wielded by mighty heroes that protected the land from villains and warring warrior scientists. Until one day a supervillain escaped his imprisonment, and threaten to destroy the family of the heroes."
"What were the heroes names, mommy?" A young, four year old, Izuku Midoriya asked as sat upon his mother's lap and looking at the book she held open before her. Inko released a small giggle seeing the way her son was admiring the image of giant snapping turtle with tonfas in his hands and highlighted in red.
"From what I can make of this story. The red ones name is Raphael, the oldest and leader of the group until later when he let his brother take over. The girl in yellow, her name is April if I'm not mistaken, she was seen as the big sister even though she had nothing in common with the brothers. Then we have Leonardo in blue, he would later go on take over as leader and do anything to see his brothers through any situation no matter how sticky. The purple is Donatello, it is said he had a way with machines. Last and definitely not least is Michelangelo with his ever vibrant orange, he was said to be a free spirit." Inko releases another giggle when Izuku's face scrunches and contorts trying pronounce the names.
"Where was I? Aww, yes, the supervillain known as Shredder had attacked the home of our heroes. Kidnapping their father and forcing the siblings to flee after destroying there mystic weapons."
"Oh-no! D-d-did the h-h-heroes rescue their daddy?" Izuku asked tears begging to form as he worried about a what he thinks is a fictional character. Inko calmingly smiled to Izuku prompting to wipe the forming tears away.
"Yes, Izuku, after a long fought battle the heroes were victorious over the Shredder."
"Why do these weapons look different?" Izuku couldn't resist tapping an illustration of what appeared to be a high-tech bō staff, tonfas, an ōdachi, and a kusari-fundo.
"It says here that the heroes had new weapons made to passed on to replace the weapons the shredder had destroyed. Now it's time for bed Izuku. We need an early start since we going to the doctors."
"Mom do you think, think I will have a quirk?" Inko froze in her endeavor of turning Izuku's All-Might nightlight. How was she supposed to explain to her son that only women could develop quirks, knowing his love heroics. Luckily for she didn't have to as Izuku past into the land of dreams after sleepily asking his question. Giving Izuku a good night kiss Inko turned his bed room light off and made her way to bed herself. That night Izuku dreamed of many things pizza, turtles, ninjas, training, and brothers? The dream felt like it went on for years in Izuku's perspective.
The next day
"I'm sorry little Midoriya but you won't ever develop a because you're a boy." The Doctor was speaking to Izuku with a soft and apologetic voice. The news would have hurt if Izuku's best friend, Mira Togata, hadn't told him the same thing some days prior. I was hoping she was wrong. Izuku fists tightest slightly. The doctor continued his diagnosis with a clean bill of health.
Inko worried for her son on their walk home. She knew his dream was to be a hero, she needed to take his mind of this before he dwells too much on it before before becoming a prisoner to the ever spiraling Midoriya family panic. We could always go to the park. I know the Togata's will be going there in a few minutes.
"Izuku, honey, would you like to go to the park and play with Mira?" Inko unaware of her son's acceptance of his quirkless nature. I knew I wouldn't get a quirk but it have been cool if I did. Was Izuku final thoughts on the matter.
As the both Midoriya's entered the park near their home, izuku sprinted off to see his blond and ever smiling best friend Mira.
"IZUKU" a child voice rang out across the playground our young green hired friend now found himself in. A smile as bright as a cloudless day spread across his features when he spotted Mira going down the slide with a laugh. Mira wasted no time in sprinting over to Izuku with a shout.
"POWER HUG" Mira slammed into Izuku causing both children to tumble around, the power hug quickly evolved into a wrestling match. The childish scuffle came to an end near the shrubs circling the the playground, with Mira pinning Izuku.
"Hahaha. You almost had me Izuku. This hero training is fun." Mira commented as she stood reaching her hand down to help the green haired lad to his feet. Mira noticed Izuku was staring at something under the shrubs from his prone position. "What are you looking at?" Mira asked settling down next to him to get a look.
Izuku got to his hands and knees to crawl over to what he is seeing. He reached under the bush with zero hesitation and his hands fumbled around for a short time until he got a solid grip of what he can tell are to wooden items. Pulling them to himself, Izuku was awed at what he had found. It looked like the tonfas from the picture book his mom read to him only smaller, like they were meant for a person his size.
"What are those Zuku?"
"My mommy told me these are weapons for ninja's." Awe clear in his voice, Izuku went about hold the weapons correctly. He succeeded, after almost hitting himself.
"Aren't ninja bad guy's because they hurt people?" Was Mira's next inquiry as both children made way to their parents to show off Izuku's finding.
What neither child knew was that these tonfas would change their lives. Bringing along new friends, allies, and even family. This will be the tell of the Teenage Quirkless Ninja Heros
