Chapter Ten
William had his decision made with going to use the device with trying to rid of his powers. Fox Mulder was going to drive his son to the house for where the forcefield was located with the hidden spacecraft.
Scully couldn't go with her son. Since she had the feeling that everything was going to be alright. She had tears in her eyes as she watched Mulder drive off with William sitting in the front seat.
Monica and John were standing next to Scully on the street watching the truck move off and Monica sensing that everything was going to be fine. Her trance was broken with Doggett talking to her about going for breakfast to discuss further about heading back home to report back to Skinner and the director.
"Sure, I am hungry. Scully will you like to come with us until they get back?" John had asked with Scully agreeing to the idea with grabbing her things from the motel room and meeting them outside and getting inside the vehicle into the back of the seat.
She was extremely quiet until they reached the almost empty diner. She moved out of the back seat to following the two into the diner finding seats at the counter. Menus were on the counter for which all three grabbed to check out the choices for breakfast. Even though John and Monica were hungry for Bacon, Eggs and potatoes, coffee and orange juice. While Scully went for the pancakes with sausages, potatoes and coffee.
Otherwise they relaxed for the most part thinking about William and Mulder. A lot was at stake with William's life and Loki's planet and population. "I am wondering on whether General Wilcox's formula was correct for when it comes to saving Loki's planet?" John said with Monica once again getting on his case about believing in aliens.
Meanwhile Mulder had arrived at the house and the backyard. William had asked his father on whether he wanted to come with him into the force field and the spacecraft.
"Not a chance William. This is your chance to save your life with the removal of your powers and Loki will be waiting for you now. I suggest that you get moving before he changes his mind about his decision."
"Alright father I am going. I just wanted to say that I love you and mother a great deal depending on whether this device works." William said with moving towards the fence for where the forcefield is located. He disappeared with moving into the field and finding him again inside the craft the main communications center. Loki was waiting for him greeting William with a hand shake and moving out of the center to head down below to where the device is located.
Since it was early morning. There were a number of the spacecraft citizens walk around heading for their work stations. "This is truly an amazing place Loki. I do hope that General Wilcox will be able to save your people with the formulas?"
"I hope so. My bondmate is dying from radiation poisoning and is three months pregnant. She knows that she might not live not longer even though the child will live." Loki stated with his emotional words. "Please come this way William. The technician is waiting for you too place the device over your head."
"I am ready to take this chance Loki. " They walk into the lab area with the device in view with a control panel to keep watch the patient's vitals.
"Please sir down underneath the device William." The technician said with strapping William into the seat with the belts and moving on down the clear device over his head. "It will take a few moments for the device to be at full power William. So please relax it's not going to hurt at all while it's turned on to sap the powers from your brain and body."
"I am prepared Loki." As he said to him watching from behind the safety screen as with the technician with a protection screen over his face and Loki.
"Full power in one minute William. Please be ready and relax if possible." The technician said with looking at the green light indicating that it was at full power. He switched on the device with the humming and glowing lights from inside the device.
"How do you feel William?" The technician asked the question checking the control panel with the device working well...
"I feel just fine even though slightly strange with a electrical charge I feel going through my body." He stated with his words without slurring. If he did than there was a problem that the patient had a stroke while underneath the device.
"Another five minutes we will be done William. Please close your eyes for this last part of the device." As the device was glowing blue inside the device and William's head for a moment before disappearing and the device had shut down safety with all power now off.
Loki asked his associate on whether William's powers are gone from his brain and body. "Yes, he's all human now without a trace of his alien powers. He's going to be able to live a normal life now."
"Thank you." Loki said to the technician and friend with the device moving up into place and the both of them removed the safety protection and helmets over their heads.
"William you're free of your powers. You can leave now with Loki to head out of the spacecraft and be with your parents." The technician said with removing the safety straps from his body as William felt free for the first time in his life...
