Earth 1610

Miles and Gwen have been dating for 1 and a half months by now. She had visited his parents 2 weeks ago and ,fortunately, they approved the two of them. Miles had to tell them that he was spiderman so he didn't have to lie buy they already knew so they didn't yell at him. The two were swinging around in Miles' dimension when they heard a loud explosion. They swung to the sound and saw a bunch of thugs robbing a bank with rhino. "That's weird, rhino rarely ever works with thugs.

"It's fine, let's just take care of them."

"Yeah, let's go." Miles said as Gwen started to fight the thugs. Gwen fought the thugs as Miles fought Rhino. The fight was quite short and began to start webbing the criminals up when suddenly a large truck appeared that contained more thugs. "It's a trap!"

"Yeah, I realized." The two started to fight the other thugs when the previous thugs began to fight again. Finally, they were all taken care of. Gwen and Miles stood there for a minute before beginning to Web up the criminals before their spider senses began to ring. Then suddenly everything slowed down for Gwen. First she saw the criminal with the gun, then she saw the trigger get pulled, then she saw Miles scream with pain before collapsing onto the ground. "Miles! No!" Gwen ran to him to check his wounds. It wasn't good. A bullet got his leg while another got his chest. Gwen's heart sunk as she saw the second wound. It's near his heart. Oh please don't let him die, please! Suddenly all she could feel was rage as she punched the man that shot the love of her life. He was immediately knocked cold when she heard Miles speak.

"G-gwen."

"Miles! Oh thank God you're alive!" Gwen exclaimed as she hugged Miles.

"Gwen. C-call my m-mom."

Gwen quickly got her phone and told Miles' mom what happened. "I'm coming just make sure he doesn't lose too much blood." Then suddenly her spider sense tingled, she turned around and saw Rhino charge at her. She didn't have time to react and was sure she was going to get at least a few bones broken before she saw Miles step in front of her.

"Miles, no!"

"I love y-." Then rhino hit him. If Miles wasn't so weak he probably could've taken it. She saw him land hard on the ground and was devestated when she heard a crack. She was fueled with rage and began to attack rhino with no mercy until finally, he was out cold. She quickly webbed everyone up and returned to Miles. It wasn't good. Blood was spilling out of him and a bone was sticking out of his leg. He also landed on jis head as well apparently as there was blood spilling out of it. She was heartbroken at the sight. Please don't let him die please. She thought. She leaned in to kiss him and felt him kiss back before going into a coma. She heard Miles' mom's car skid across the road. She ran to Gwen and froze at the sight. She checked him over before saying that he had to go to the hospital.

"But they will know he's spiderman then."

"I will make sure the most trust worthy doctor there is taking care of him. He won't tell Miles' secret to anyone." Then she pulled out her phone to dial 911 and walked away to talk to her phone. A minute later she came back and told Gwen that the cops and an ambulance was on the way. They took off Mikes' suit so people wouldn't know his identity waited there and cried before they heard the sirens coming. The coos came first and Gwen immediately saw Miles' dad run up and ask Rio about the person hurt before seeing Miles.

"Oh no. No no no no no Miles please!" He cried as he saw Miles laying there. Just staring at the parent's grief on their sons injured body made Gwen begin crying again. She realized she still had her suit on and quickly swung away to change out of it before running up again before anyone could see her. The parents began to put Miles on a stretcher and made sure he was safe before the ambulance drove away.

--The next day

Earth 1610

Gwen came in to see Miles' room and felt her heart drop when she didn't see him awake. She asked his mom about his status. "Luckily the bullet wounds aren't fatal though one did just nearly muss his heart, but he lost lots of blood. His leg will take a long time to heal, and that hit made him lose extra blood and gave him a concussion. We don't know if he can survive with all that blood lost." Rio could barely finish the last sentence before crying again. Miles' dad was sitting there trying to comfort her but was crying as well.

"Is there a good chance he'll survive?" Gwen asked them.

"For a normal person no, but we know you spider people of a faster recovery rate but these are bad injuries and we don't know if those after recoveries can help him." Jeff said as he continued crying. Gwen couldn't hold it together anymore and began sobbing as well.

"Would you like a moment alone with him Gwen?" Rio asked kindly.

"Yes please." The two parents turned to leave as she sat next to Miles. She sat in silence before speaking. "Miles Morales, you will wake up from the coma and come back to me. We will keep dating and you will one day ask me to marry you. We will both raise wonderful spider kids and grow old together. You will only die because of old age, not because lowly criminals hurt you." Gwen tried to find more words to say but couldn't as she started sobbing again. She began to walk out but didn't see Miles begin to make a weak smile before losing consciousness again.

--One week later

Earth 65

Gwen forced herself to return to her dimension to make sure it was safe. Due to the surprising drop in crime rates though, she only stopped one minor robbery before returning to her house. There she sat on her bed and looked at her phone. She looked at a picture of her and Miles when they were hanging out at the Mikes and Busters arcade a few months ago. She tried to smile at it but couldn't and began to start sobbing again before her phone alerted er to a text. It was by the hospital her dad was in. She quickly opened it and read what it said.

Gwen Stack, we bring you excellent news. Your father has awoken from his coma and is in excellent health. You may come to pick him up whenever you choose to do so today.

Gwen's heart busted in joy. Her dad was finally back and she could see him again. She quickly left the house and ran to the hospital. He was already in the lobby alive and well. "Dad!"

"Gwen! How is my spider girl?"

"Dad not so loud, people will hear us."

"Sorry." He said but still had a wide grin."

"I missed you. I thought I would never see you again. I thougt-" she couldn't finish her sentence as she began to cry again.

"It's okay Gwen. I'm here now and I'll never leave you ever."

"Thanks dad."

"Now, what did I miss? Anything exciting? Took down a big villain? Made a friend? Or maybe even a boyfriend?" He stopped there when she saw Gwen crying.

"What's wrong Gwen?"

"Dad, can we talk at home?"

"Of course." The two walked home and sat at a table before Gwen started speaking.

"So dad, a while ago as you know, I was sucked into a different dimension. What I didn't tell you was that I made a friend named Miles there but I didn't get to see him at all. 4 months later he came to my dimension and gave me a watch that let's me travel dimensions." She said as she held up her dimension hopper. "We hanged out and eventually we um.. started dating." Gwen began to blush as she saw her dad begin grinning widely. "The thing is, he's the spiderman in his dimension so we like to swing around together. Then a week ago we were stopping a group of thugs robbing a bank when he got seriously injured and was sent into a coma. He hasn't been awake since." She said as she burst into tears. Her dad got up to comfort her and wiped away her tears.

"How did he get hurt?"

"He got shot twice but he would've been ok unless.."

"Unless what?"

"He has a villain who is called the rhino who is basically a human rhino who fights Miles. He began to charge at me but I froze because of Miles before he stepped in front of me and took the hit. He lost lots of blood and has been a coma. We don't know if he'll live." Gwen said as she sobbed. "He'd be dine if it wasn't for me freezing." Her dad looked at her before speaking.

"Gwen, it isn't your fault. It's the criminals fault. Don't blame yourself for what they did. Everyone freezes when someone they love gets injured badly. And, if Miles is even half as strong as I can tell from you, he will push through but it'll be our job to help him. You have to help him. He loves you and will depend on you for all the help you can give him.

"Thanks dad." As she sat there. "Want to see him?" She asked.

"I would like to."

Earth 1610

Gwen and her dad stepped out of a portal and walked to the hospital. They arrived to Miles bed and found Miles' parents sitting next to him.

"Oh Gwen, nice to see you, and who is this?" Rio said as she saw Gwen.

"My dad."

"A pleasure to meet you Mr. Stacy." Miles' dad said as he shook his hand.

"Please, call me George."

"Well you can call me Jeff then." Jeff said as he chuckled. "And this is my wife, Rio."

"A pleasure to meet you George."

"A pleasure to meet you to. I am very sorry what happened to your son. I will do anything that could possibly help."

"Thank you George but right now, nobody can help him."

Gwen took a seat next to Miles as she took his hand and kissed it before staring at his face, silently praying that Mikes would wake up. The room was silent before the doctors came in to do a checkup on Miles.

"I think we should give the doctors some space. We can talk in the lobby." Rio said as she got up. The group sat in the lobby and asked each other questions about each other's life. After about half an hour a doctor approached them.

"Mr. and Mrs. Morales and Ms. Stay, I need you to come to Miles' room. And who is this?" He asked as he saw Gwen's dad follow them.

"My dad. He comes too." Gwen replied.

"Very well, follow me." They cam into Miles' room where they saw doctors doing tests on Miles. "Due to Miles'.. special health factor, he is making steady improvements. However, recovery is still uncertain and we will need to so extra checkups on him. I will tell you that these could be hard for you to watch and we must ask you to leave the room when we preform the tests.

"Very well, we'll leave when you do so." Jeff said as they left the room. After another half hour the doctors let them back into the room. "Any signs of improvement?" Jeff asked.

"I'm sorry but no, the tests did nothing and possible could've made his chances go down. I'm very sorry."

"Can we see him?" Rio asked.

"Of course" the doctors left the room as Gwen walked to Miles and held his hand as she silently cried. All the adults watched her and clearly understood Gwen's feelings for Miles. She was about to let go to get a drink before she felt a squeeze on her hand. She looked at the hand then to Miles' face and couldn't believe the sight. His eyes were open and he was grinning at her.

"Hey Gwanda." He weakly smiled.
