Hello, frens! Decided I'd work on the fic again, I'm kinda upset I've left you all with a cliffhanger. I hope I can give it a half-decent send-off eventually, I'm not feeling that mentally fresh lately. XOXO

'Butch, are you fucking insane...?' Brick's voice finally broke through the silence.

'What gave it away?' Butch playfully retorted, trying to pin down his counterpart.

A very angry Buttercup kept trying to wiggle her way out of Butch's arms. It wasn't working well as the chains seemed to tie them closer as she struggled. She looked around, trying to make sense of where he'd brought her, and a look of recognition appeared in her eyes as she noticed Blossom staring in utter shock at their interlocked bodies.

'Blossom!'

Hearing her sister call out for her snapped Blossom out her state and a surge of fury overcame her.

'Butch, get away from my sister, or I swear to God, I will castrate you with my bare hands.'

'I would, babe, but I can't. You see, I'm kinda tied up.' he chuckled, encircling Buttercup's body in his arms.

Blossom turned her head to Brick, she had never seen him look so angry.

'What made you think it's a good idea to use these?' Brick asked, fury seeping through his voice.

'Well, they were just sitting there.' Butch picked one of the chain links between two of his fingers. 'And I had a butterfly to catch.'

Blossom noticed the chain's markings gave off a faint red glow, it seemed to pulsate stronger as her sister tried to tear it with her hands.

'FUCKING SHIT, BREAK ALREADY!' Buttercup growled in frustration as she made another attempt at it.

'It won't break.'

They all turned to look at Boomer, who calmly spoke as he lit himself another joint.

'What do you mean 'it won't break'? What are these things? I need answers, NOW!' Blossom snapped at the blonde.

'HIM used these to keep us prisoners. Our powers don't work on them.' Boomer replied, pointing out at the greens. 'She can try all she wants, she won't get out of them.'

Buttercup continued to take punches at her counterpart, further battering and bruising his body. Blossom could see the swollen red markings the chain left on her sister as she continued to struggle against it.

'Heard that, Butterbitch? You're not going anywhere.'

'NO, YOU'RE FULL OF SHIT! IT ISN'T TRUE!' Buttercup growled as she went on with the assault.

Suddenly, Brick's anger made much more sense now to Blossom. A nagging thought clawed at her brain.

'But how did you get out of them...?' Blossom's voice resounded throughout the confusion.

Her question was met with silence, although she did notice Brick clenching his jaw harder.

'I don't think anyone's gonna tell you that, Flossy. Pretty sure Brick would rather die before he'd tell you his secret.' Butch replied, strengthening the grip on her sister.

'Is this what Boomer was talking about...?'

Brick's fists were clenched tightly, Blossom expected he'd lose it any moment now.

'I mean you haven't told us how you opened these, how could you tell her, Brick?'

'...you've really fucked up this time, Butch.'

'Nah, I think it was a great idea. I've got a girl, too, now. Everyone's happy.'

Buttercup managed to free herself from the green teen and stretched out the chain between the two of them. Both had a cuff on a wrist and ankle, and it was about 3 meters in length. Blossom could clearly see how badly hurt the both of them were, drenched in eachother's blood.

'I'M NOT YOUR FUCKING GIRL, YOU CREEP!' Buttercup yelled as she pulled harder on the chains, making the metal cuffs sink deeper into her skin.

'Brick. Brick can solve this. He has to.'

'Brick, you promised me. You have to fix this!'

Brick didn't answer, instead, he just flew between the two green teens ,grabbed the chain and turned towards the green girl.

'You need to calm down, Buttercup. You can't get out of these without my help, but I need you to calm down first.'

'You're not getting her out of these chains. You're not ruining this for me.'

Brick's eyes lit up in anger as he heard his brother's words, he got closer to him, measuring Butch up and down with a patronizing look on his face.

'Really, Butch? Then explain to me, why exactly did you come here right after capturing her? Did you expect me to just indulge you with this shit? You knew I'd deal with it somehow. You just wanted to piss me off and possibly find out how I managed to escape HIM. So quit lying to yourself, Butch, you don't give a shit about this girl, you just want to get back at me for being better than you.'

'FUCK YOU, BRICK!' he cursed, attempting to entangle the three of them together. He managed to catch Brick between himself and Buttercup, and then repeatedly crashed their bodies in the nearby sand.

Blossom could barely tell what was happening, sand and blood was everywhere, and, before she could do anything, Butch took a plunge into the ocean, dragging his brother and her sister with him. She managed to follow them, even though Butch moved like quicksilver and was extremely chaotic. The water made it even more difficult to track them, she could only make out a faint green dash into the depths of the water. At some point they stopped and a fight began between Brick and his brother, a thick pool of blood spreading around them as it went on, her sister caught right in the middle of it. As the blows continued Blossom noticed Buttercup's body had gone limp, and now she simply was yanked around as the green ruff continued the attack on his older brother.

'Fuck! Fuck! I need to stop this. How...?'

The solution came to her as she realised the brothers were too caught up in their fight to notice her. This prompted her to blow a wall of ice towards the ruffs that managed to encase them both, leaving her sister's body flow freely into the surrounding water.

Blossom grabbed her and dragged them all to the surface, managing to make it just in time before Butch cracked the massive block of ice.

'YOU FUCKING BITCH! WHO LET YOU COME BETWEEN US?? IT'S OUR FIGHT!'

An enraged Butch lunged this time towards Blossom, activating his eye beams, attempting to follow her with them. This gave Brick enough time to destroy the ice as well and plunge into his brother. Butch swiftly reacted, abandoning his search for Blossom and began pummeling into his older brother. His hits were raw and vicious, and Blossom stood in shock as her counterpart was overwhelmed by his brother's crazed hits.

Blossom barely registered the blue dash coming from behind her that swiftly joined the fight, attempting to subdue the rabid green ruff. A dazed Brick joined him and Blossom decided to intervene once again. As the brothers fought Butch she yanked on the chain and drew the fight closer to the beach. She felt a jolt of pain in her chest as she held Buttercup's limp body, she's never seen her look so weak and drained.

'I FUCKING HATE YOU ALL!' Butch yelled as his brothers forced him into submission, beating him senselessly. Soon he was bruised and broken, and Boomer laid his bloody body on the beach, next to Buttercup's.

An awkward moment of silence fell between the redheads and Boomer as they all drew their breaths and supervised the greens. Blossom took this moment to take a closer look at the seemingly unbreakable chain: the craftsmanship was superb as far as she could tell, it was a heavy chain, the links were tightly interlocked and each link was was engraved with some rune-like symbol that she couldn't recognise... The strangest thing was that it glowed red, a red that varied in intensity.

'So...what now?' Boomer finally broke the silence, looking back and forth at the two redheads.

'Brick..' Blossom paused, looking at her sister's now swollen face. 'I don't care how you're doing it, but you're getting my sister out of these chains.'

Brick started pacing back and forth, seeping with nervousness.

'I said I would, give me a minute. I need to fucking think. '

His pacing got quicker, his emotional distress evident. At times he paused and massaged his temples in a desperate effort to concentrate better. Eventually he took a quick look at the two bodies and answered Blossom:

'Tomorrow morning. I need to be well-rested for it, I'll try to sleep. I'm going alone. Also, I need them as limp as they are now. None of what I've said is debatable.' he said as he grabbed onto the chain, taking both greens with him in the house.

'You and Boomer need to make sure that they don't do anything stupid until then. Keep them weak preferably. If anything happens, wake me up.'

A myriad of questions overflooded Blossom's brain:

'Wait a minute, where are you going?? And why do you need to be alone?'

Brick turned towards the redhead, giving her an icy glare:

'Don't ask about it. I said it's non-negotiable. It's this or your sister stays in chains with him.'

Blossom bit her tongue, she realised it wasn't going to end well if she insisted. Brick dumped the greens on the sofa and went to the bedroom, shutting the door loudly, leaving Boomer and Blossom in charge of the two depleted greens.

'Well, this is gonna be fun..' Boomer chuckled, lighting himself a cigarette.
