Miguel jumped through a window and landed in his completely dark and silent house. Suddenly, warm light shone throughout the house and warmly greeted him into his home. He quickly changed out of his suit and entered his kitchen where Lyla had prepared him a hot meal when he would come back. He ignored the hot plate of food and instead grabbed a cup and filled it with water. He gulped down the water and went over to his bedroom where he saw his inviting, comfortable bed waiting for him. He quickly changed out of his suit and jumped onto the bed.

He turned on his holo-TV but couldn't pay attention to it. Bored, he looked up to his ceiling where it was covered in drawings that would seem random to the normal eye, but to him, every single one of them were sentimental to him and represented something important to him. He took a remote from his nightstand and clicked a button on it. Suddenly, the ceiling tiles all slid away to reveal the late night sky. Though previous generations had littered the sky with pollution, recent technology had been able to clear the pollution to once again show the brilliant, twinkling stars that Miguel loved.

Miguel took a holo-frame from his nightstand and looked at it. Showing through the frame was a picture of him and Cindy, smiling as if they didn't have a care in the world. Miguel smiled. He missed those times. Those times where he could be with the love of his live and be able to truly be happy with her, a feeling he's never had for so long before then. Miguel felt a lone tear slip out as the thought passed that he probably won't be able to feel those feelings ever again. He missed her with every fiber of his being. He wanted to see her again. To feel her. To hug her and feel all of his worries and pains vanish away to be replaced with joy and love.

He remembered a memory of being with her and looking at the stars on a night like this while they were sitting on a rooftop.

"They're beautiful." She whispered. Miguel glanced over and smiled at the sight of Cindy staring at the sky with awe. She caught him staring at her and had a confused look on her face. "What?"

Miguel chuckled. "Nothing, I just didn't know you liked the stars."

"What's that supposed to mean?" If Cindy wasn't confused before, she definitely was now.

"It's just that you don't seem you like you would stars."

Cindy perked an eyebrow. "Yeah right, like I'd believe something that stupid. What's up with you?"

Miguel just stared at her. The moonlight was shining perfectly on Cindy, exemplifying all of the features on her face, making her even more beautiful to Miguel.

"You're beautiful." He whipered.

"Wow, thanks for the compliment." She smiled at him sweetly before having a teasing grin on her. "Didn't know such a tough man had it in him to compliment me."

Miguel rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah." He didn't mind her teasing especially since her humor helped him ease the stress on his mind. It didn't help it disappear however, as Cindy noticed the worry in his eyes.

"Hey, what's wrong?"

"I just," Miguel let out a heavy sigh, "I know how much danger we're in right now with Morlun and everything, and we both already had enough scares. I don't wanna lose you. Every one of these moments feel like they're going to be the last. I just want to make all of them count."

Cindy's eyes softened and understood what he meant. "Babe, everything is going to be fine. I have your back, you have mine, as well as everyone else has ours. We aren't going to die."

"But what if..." Miguel's thoughts were trailing off at the thought of Cindy dying.

"Miguel look at me." Her voice turned stern. "Nobody is dying. I can protect myself and so can you. And if I do need help, I know I can count on you to come to my rescue."

Her words calmed some of the worries in Miguel. But he couldn't get out the nagging feeling of what would happen if she did die. He didn't know what was going on with him, but he had a feeling something was going to happen. "But what if you do die? I don't know why, but I just feel like something bad is about to happen."

Cindy could see the concern in his eyes and his need for an answer. She hesitated for a few moments. She never really thought of that possibility much before. She looked up at the shining stars for a moment then looked at Miguel. "If I die, then look up at the stars when you miss me, and I promise you, that I will be looking back down at you."

The thought of her still being with him even after death finally calmed Miguel down. He eased into Cindy and comforted himself in her warmth and stared at the night sky with her. "I love you." he eventually said.

Cindy turned to face him and smiled at him lovingly. "I love you too." she said. He leaned in to kiss her. As their lips connected, any other lingering feelings of worry in him were washed away. All he felt was love, happiness, and comfort. They eventually broke apart and sat there on the rooftop in a comfortable silence, looking at the stars.

Miguel smiled at the past memory. He looked back at the stars. "Can you see me, Cindy?" He knew it was probably his imagination, but he thought he almost could hear her reply. He looked back down at the holo-frame and touched Cindy. "I'll never forget you."

He set the frame back down before getting up and made his way to his office where all of his equipment including his giant holo-monitor stood. "Lyla."

He heard a yawn from the screen. "What is it boss? And do you have to talk to me in the middle of the night every day?"

"You're a computer, you don't need sleep."

"I'm an AI, and stop acting like you know everything about me."

Miguel rolled his eyes in annoyance. "Is everything going to plan?"

Lyla groaned before disappearing. Miguel waited for a moment before she appeared again. "Yeah, everything is in place

"Good." Miguel walked away and made his way back to his bedroom. He got back on his bed and looked back at the stars and did so until sleep finally overtook him, where his dreams would mock him with false memories of him and Cindy.

Miles loved this feeling. To swing freely through the night while the cool air blew against his mask. He loved the feeling of freedom he got from it.

His mind soon wandered away though, and he started thinking about all of the events that had happen in the past two weeks. He had recently asked out Liz (as he learned that she prefers to be called) and they instantly had been hitting it off. They had only been on a few dates, but each one had been amazing for both of them. Miles knew that she wouldn't replace Gwen, but he knew that she would've wanted him to move on, and Miles couldn't think of a better girl to move on with.

An explosion suddenly knocked Miles back into reality. He looked over and saw a group of heavily armed thieves rob a bank. Just another drill for Spiderman though. Miles swept into action and got to work. He quickly took care of their getaway driver first before dealing with the robbers in the bank.

"Cmon guys, it's way too late to be robbing a bank right now." Miles called out in his deep voice. All the robbers turned from the helpless guard they were about to beat up and faced Miles.

"Well, if it isn't the infamous Spiderman." The largest in the group said as he stepped up.

"In the flesh."

"Set up the drill, I'm gonna get my workout in." The apparent leader commanded. "Come at me pipsqueak."

He took out a dagger and ran towards Miles. Miles quickly leaped away from his initial swing and tried to shoot a web at his arm. The man quickly tore off the web and took a pistol out to try and shoot Miles.

He's good, I'll give him that

Miles dodged all of the bullets before turning invisible. The man turned away frantically and tried to look for Miles. "Where'd you go!? Stop making it hard to kill you!" The man shouted.

Miles appeared behind the man and tapped his shoulder. "Peekaboo." Miles waited for the man to turn around before giving him a nice venom shock to knock him out.

"Shoot him, NOW!" The man commanded before getting knocked out cold.

All the thieves turned and shot at Miles with their automatic rifles. Miles turned back invisible and ducked low to avoid the bullets and ran towards the shooters, a neat trick he learned from Miguel. He got behind them and quickly got to work at shooting webs at the ceiling and attaching the thieves to them.

Soon, everyone was taken care of with Miles and the drill not even taking a scratch. Not a second later, sirens were blaring right outside of the building as cops flooded the lobby. Miles simply let them go and watched them marvel once again at his work.

"You've done it again, Spiderman. You never cease to amaze me." one of the officers said and shook his head.

"All in a days work officer." Miles replied in his deep voice and swung away.

He swung over to a rooftop near the scene and watched the cops take the thieves into their cars. He soon found that he was breathing harder than he realized. He took off his mask to breath easier and looked around for anymore trouble.

"Miles?"

That voice sounded familiar to him. Miles turned and felt every one of his bones shake in shock as he saw her.

It had been a weird six months since the battle against Morlun for Peter, that was for sure. Even the battle itself was confusing for him. One second, Miles was beating the living daylights out of Morlun, the next, he was back at his home, sweating like a dog in his suit. He would soon be explained by Miguel that he was somehow sent back to his dimension by Mysterio. How that happened, nobody seemed to know, but the only thing that mattered to Peter was that Morlun and that Mysterio guy were both dead, but so were Gwen, Cindy and Cosmic. He would spend the next week mourning for the losses and doing his best to comfort Miles and Miguel. But during that time, he always wondered why Mysterio would kill himself just to see Miles and Miguel panic. Miguel eventually explained that Mysterio was a mad man and would always risk everything just for a moment of pure chaos and madness. Peter would question that explanation, but he already dealt with a bunch of psychos before and this did seem to make sense.

Now though, he was spending most of his time being a good husband to MJ. Specifically, watching a movie while eating pizza for dinner with her. He bent over to the table where the box was and took his 5th slice to chow down on.

"You really didn't improve your eating habits did you?" MJ teased him.

"I need energy. All this fighting is gonna need me to be fit and I can't do that if I don't have energy." Peter jokingly said.

MJ laughed. "If you were really fit, you'd know how to eat properly, and not eat 10 slices of pizza in one sitting."

"No need to shame me. And I've eaten 5 slices." Peter finished the slice and took another. "Fine. 6." MJ raised her eyebrow at him. "Alright fine. This'll be my last slice." MJ rolled her eyes and looked back at the TV. They both kept watching the movie for a while until MJ rested her head on Peter's shoulder.

"I love you Peter." she murmured as she comforted herself on him.

"I love you too MJ." Peter turned and looked at the same beautiful blue eyes that he fell in love with so long ago. They both slowly leaned into each other until both of their lips finally met. They kept kissing for a while until Peter heard someone clear their throat.

"Hope I'm not interrupting." Miguel was standing there awkwardly with a portal right behind him. MJ screamed at the sight and ran behind the couch.

"OH MY GOD, WHO IS THAT!?" she yelled.

Peter sighed. "MJ, it's ok, he's a friend." He turned back to Miguel and glared at him. "Although, he won't be for very long if he doesn't explain what he's doing here and ruining our moment.

Miguel rubbed his head in discomfort. "Sorry that I had to intrude, but this is important. I need your help Peter, it's about Miles."

"What? What happened to him? Is he ok? Where is he? Take me to him!" Peter started blowing out question after question.

"Whoa, slow down. He's fine. I'll explain everything. I just need you to come with me. Is that alright?"

Peter turned back to MJ who was walking back to the couch. "Will you be ok?"

MJ nodded. "I will. Just stay safe and come back to me in one piece."

Peter nodded and kissed her before joining Miguel and walked through the portal.

"Alright, why did you need my help?" Peter asked once the portal closed.

Miguel hesitated. "Right now, Miles is kind of... being dumb let's just say."

Peter did not like the way Miguel was explaining his Miles. The kid was the closest thing he had to a son, and he wasn't gonna let some futuristic moron try to insult him like that. "Explain now before I stick those words back down your throat."

"I have a plan for something right now, and Miles is just in the way right now. I need you to try to get some sense into him."

"What is this plan first of all?"

Miguel hesitated again as he searched for the right words to explain. "I'm trying to see if it's possible to bring back Gwen and Cindy. I know it seemed like they died, but I can't help but feel that there's a chance."

Peter looked at Miguel and knew exactly what was going on. "Look, they're gone. You have to accept that and move on. It's what Cindy would've wanted."

"I know it's unlikely, but even if there's a small chance, wouldn't you want to see Gwen back with Miles? If it's obvious that this isn't going anywhere, I'll promise to give up and move on. Just help me with this, please?"

Peter could see the hurt in Miguel. He wanted to help him, and if it was to get him some closure, even with this crazy plan, then that was how he was going to do it. "Alright. I'll help you. What do you want me to do?"

Miguel smiled and went over to his holo-computer. "Great. Here's what I need you to do."

Suddenly, a blast was fired from the ceiling and hit Peter in the back, stunning him.

"I need you to exterminate the rogue." A metal arm took Peter's limp body and carried him to a room. "Lyla, start the surgery."
