Chapter 3 is here! School been started for me so I've been having less time to write this story, but that doesn't mean I'll stop.I'm liking how you guys are enjoying this story. Other than that let's get right into it!
Alex wasn't gonna lie, but he kinda enjoyed the view of the whole camp. He trailed behind Annabeth as she walked forward. Grover was with them but he excused himself as he had to meet with Percy.
Alex wanted to meet Percy since he heard he lost his mother, something he can relate with him.
"A pretty big forest," Alex said as he gazed at the forest infront of him, it took at least a quarter of the valley. "Kinda surprised no one goes into the forest."
"We only go their when it's an event," she responded. "Like Capture the Flag."
"That's it? Pretty lame if you asked me." Annabeth glared at Alex.
"Just keep walking weird kid." She barked.
"Alright, blonde." Alex muttered.
They passed the volleyball pit, many of the campers stopped and whispered while one of them pointed at Alex.
"Isn't he the one that was found injured near the lake?"
"Yeah, from what i've heard he was in a near death state."
"How did he survive?"
Others whispered to their campers nearby. Alex, was starting to feel uncomfortable. He glared in their direction which caused them to flinch and resume their activity.
Most of the campers were older than him. Their satyr friends were bigger than Grover, all of them wearing CAMP HALF-BLOOD shirts like himself and Annabeth, with nothing covering their hairy bottom halves.
Alex was starting to get annoyed as they stared at him, as if they wanted to see him do a magic trick.
They continue to walk (much to Alex gratitude) until they came across the farmhouse. Alex wasn't gonna lie but it looked a lot bigger then what he thought it was.
Four stories tall, sky blue with white trim, like an upscale seaside resort. There was a brass eagle weather vane on top. Alex looked at it before something caught his eye, a shadow in the top window of attic.
Alex stared at the window. He felt the same thing stare back at him. He didn't know what was up there, but whatever it was wasn't human.
Alex eyes shoned as he sent a Ki wave (trying to showcase his power) at the shadow at the attic. He could have sworn he saw the shadow tremble before it moved away quickly.
"Hey," He called out to Annabeth as she looked at him. "What's up there?"
She looked where he was pointing at, and rose an eyebrow. "Just the attic."
"Somebody lives there or what?"
"No," Annbeth said. "Not a single living thing."
She continued to walk, saying nothing else about the topic. Alex felt a slight unease feeling, whatever was watching him disappeared. Probably in fear after what he did.
Alex trailed behind Annabeth as she gave him a tour around.
They walked through strawberry fields, where campers were picking bushels of berries while a satyr played a tune on a reed pipe.
Alex stopped and looked at the berries, they looked delicious. They looked like they were filled with enough sweeet juice that made him lick his lips.
"Hey! You can't eat them." Annabeth grabbed his shoulder as she watched him inch forward towards the berries.
"I wasn't going to eat them." Alex whistled innocently.
Annabeth glared at Alex, this boy was something else.
"You know you can't eat them. This isn't for us." Annabeth said.
She began telling him how the camp grew a nice crop export to New York restaurants and Mount Olympus. "It pays our expenses," she said. "And the strawberries take almost no effort to grow."
Annabeth explained how Mr.D had this effect on fruit-bearing plants: they just went crazy when he was around.
She also explained how it worked best with wine grapes, but Mr.D was restricted from growing those, they grew strawberries instead. Alex watched as satyr played his pipe. His music was causing lines of bug to leave the strawberry patch in every direction like the place was on fire.
"That's actually cool," Alex said as he turned to face Annabeth. "How do they even do that?"
"They use some type of woodland magic," She replied. "Satyrs can only do it."
"Can their magic also work on different kinds of fruits?" If they can grow strawberries, then surely they can grow other fruits.
"Hmm, I'm not sure about that." She placed a finger on her chin as she thought about it.
"Welp, there goes my fascination." Alex said casually.
"At least they can grow this, unlike us." Annabeth defended the satyrs.
"But we can do the opposite of that," Alex had a grin on his face. "We can step on them and ruin them."
Annabeth eyes widened as she stepped infront of Alex. "You wouldn't dare."
"Obviously, I won't blonde," Alex started to chuckle. "I'm just fooling around.
Annabeth sighed.
"You gonna keep standing infront of me? or do you want something else?" Alex smirked as he saw her face blush a red color.
She quickly retracted herself away and began to walk away.
"Was it something I said?" Alex tilted his head before following her. "Hey, wait up."
Annabeth (although still having a slight visible blush on her face) showed Alex the archery range. The canoeing lake, where Alex was still confuse on how people used this as an activity. He's never seen this where he's from, maybe cause the technology is more advance?
Up next were the stables, where Alex met horses with wings. Though what made him curious was how they had their head down, as if they were bowing to him. The javeline range, the sing-along amphitheater, and the arena where Annabeth said they held sword and spear fights.
"You guys use swords and spears?" Alex questioned.
"Yeah, usually people from different cabins challenge eachother," Annabeth explained. "You never used a sword before?"
"Actually I have," Alex responded, which caught Annabeth interest. "One of my friends knew how to wield one with expertise and let me practice with one." Alex smiled as he remembered about Trunks.
"What was his or her name?" Annabeth asked with curiosity. Maybe she can get more information from him, he was an enigma.
"That's only an answer I would know." He said. Alex, really didn't want Annabeth or anyone to know about his Time Patrol comrades or friends.
Annabeth sighed in disappointment, this was going to take a long time for Alex to open up. But she couldn't blame him, he was new to the camp. It will take time for a demigod to get comfortable.
"Come on, we got to continue our tour." Annabeth said.
"I see you're enjoying the tour, Alex." Chiron said as he approached them.
"Where did you come from?" Alex was surprised Chiron arrived.
"I was taking a stroll around the camp, making sure everything is right until I stumbled upon you guys," Chiron responded. "Mind if I tag along?"
"Yes, your assistance would be appreciated Chiron."
"Sure."
"Splendid, come along Alex Mercer," Chrion said. " Much to see here."
Alex and Annabeth both trailed behind Chiron as he shared most of the tour.
Alex, was still slightly shocked about all of this. There's different gods and being in this Universe or Dimension. It was making him excited to fight them all, he hasn't fought a God since Goku, Vegeta, and Lord beerus.
But there was still a nagging question he couldn't stoo thinking. If there were Gods here, shouldn't there be hell or something?
"Chiron," Alex said. " If the gods and whatever is olympus is real."
"Yes, child?"
"Does that mean the Underworld is real, too?" Alex asked. He wanted to know where the dead went when they died. He did remember when Chiron said something about a god who controlled the underworld- Hades. Maybe he can ask for a spar or fight againts that said god.
Chiron's expression darkened.
"Yes, child." He paused, as if choosing his words carefully. "There is a place where spirits go after death. But for now... until we know more... I would urge you to put that out of your mind."
"Uh, what do you mean, 'until we know more'?"
"Come, Alex. Let's see the woods."...
"I'm assuming Annabeth already showed you the stables, archery range, and arena?" Chiron stopped to admire the view of the forest.
"Yes, though why do campers use swords and spears in a fight?"
"Cabin challenges and all that," he explained. "Not lethal. Usually. Oh, yes, and there's the mess hall."
Chiron pointed to an outdoor pavilion framed in white Grecian columns on a hill overlooking the sea. There were a dozen stone picnic tables. No roof. No walls.
"What do you do when it rains?" Alex asked curiously.
Chiron looked at Alex with a weird look. "We still have to eat, don't we?"
Alex made a fake gagging sound, as if trying to vomit. "I don't know what's worst for you Chiron. Being stuck in a wheelchair all the time or eating wet food."
Chiron couldn't but chuckle. Annabeth slightly glared at Alex for saying that, but even she had to admit it was funny.
Finally, he showed him the cabins. There were twelve of them, nestled in the woods by the lake. They were arranged in a U, with two at the base and five in a row on either side. Alex thought these were some bizarre buildings.
All had a large brass number above the door (odds on the left, evens on the right), they didn't looked aliked. Number nine had smokestacks, like a tiny factory. Number four had tomato vines on the walls and a roof made out of real grass. Seven seemed to be made of solid gold, which gleamed so much in the sunlight it was almost impossible to look at. They all faced a commons area about the size of a soccer field, dotted with Greek statues, fountains, and a couple of basketball hoops.
In the center of a the field was a huge stone-lined firepit. Even though it was warm afternoon, the hearth smoldered. A girl about nine years old was tending the flames, poking the coals with stick.
Alex moved his head left and right, wondering if Annabeth and Chiron were seeing what he was seeing. Instead he saw Annabeth and Chiron talking to eachother, not even paying attention to a little girl using a stick and poking coal.
When he turned back to look at the girl, she was now staring at him. She gave him a toothy smiled and waved at him. Alex still confuse, also waved back at her. When he blinked she was gone, as if the wind that was blowing right now took her away.
Alex shook his head as he followed Annabeth and Chiron, who started to walk.
The trio gazed on the pair of cabins at the head of the field, number one and two. Looking like his-and-hers mausoleum, big white marble boxes with heavy columns in front. Cabin one was the biggest and bulkiest of the twelve. Alex thought it was just a show-off cabin, the cabin was trying to imply it was the best out of the twelve.
Cabin two was more graceful somehow, with slimmer columns garlanded with pomegranate and flowers. The walls were carved with images of peacocks. At least this cabin wasn't like the first one in terms of fashion.
"Are these..."
"Zeus and Here." Annabeth said. Alex slightly sweatdropped, since he was going to ask instead if these cabins were real or not.
"Yeah...what she said."
"Correct," Chiron said.
"Their cabins look empty." Alex responded as he didn't hear no sound inside or anyone coming in or out.
"Several of the cabins are. That's true. No one ever stays in one or two."
"That's weird, so no one has ever stayed in those empty cabins?" Alex asked.
"Yes, only those who have the blood of the gods coursing through them, in other words, son or daughters." Chiron responded.
"Has anyone ever stayed in Zeus cabin?"
A painful looked flashed in Chirons face before it disappeared, Alex turned to look at Annabeth who turn to face the other way, but he could see her slightly shaking.
"Once," Chiron said, he placed a hand on Alex and Annabeth shoulder. " Come along, Alex, there is more to see."
Alex, still confused about their reactions, shrugged his shoulders and kept on admiring the tour.
"At least you weren't like seaweed brain. Who went inside cabin three earlier." Annabeth said as she walked next to Alex and Chiron.
They got a better look at the other cabins, they were crowded with campers. Number five was a bright red, a messed up paint job, as if the color had been splashed on with buckets and people first time painting in their whole life.
The roof was line with barbed wire. A stuff wild boar's head hung over the doorway, and it's eyes following Alex, which made him want to fire a blast at the head but restrained himself. Inside Alex saw a bunch of mean-looking kids, both girls and boys, arguing towards each other with rock music blaring while arm wrestling. They were living a nice life, Alex thought sarcastically.
The loudest was a girl maybe thirteen or fourteen, a year or two younger than him. She wore a size XXXL CAMP HALF-BLOOD T-shirt under a camouflage jacket. She zeroed in on Alex, giving him a dark sneer.
Alex scoffed, was she trying to intimidate him?, he glared back at her with the atmosphere around them changing, he could tell the girl was starting to lose her glare as she began to sweat from the pressure.
Alex sighed and began walking Annabeth and Chiron, he could tell both of them also felt the pressure since they were starting to sweat, but instead were confuse on what was happening.
They kept walking in silence until Alex asked. "We haven't seen any more centaurs," he observed.
"No," Chiron said sadly. "My kinsmen are a wild and barbaric folk, i'm afraid. You might encounter them in the wilderness, or at a major sporting events. But you won't see any here."
Alex nodded his head, taking in this information.
"Earlier when Grover was with us he was telling me stories about ancient greek before he left," Alex said. "I kept hearing your name as he mentioned it."
"Are you really Chiron..."
He smiled at the boy. "The Chiron from the stories? Trainer of Hercules and all that? Indeed, Alex, I am."
"No offense, but shouldn't you be dead?" Alex said bluntly. Annabeth slapped Alex behind the head.
"Ow!" Alex began to rub the back of his head. "What the hell was that for?"
"You shouldn't asked that, it was disrespectful." She said with a glare.
"But I said no offense." He responded with his own glare, which made Annabeth flinch for a bit before retaining her ground.
"That's enough, both of you." Chiron said. Which caused both of them to look at him and stop.
"Now about your question, Alex."
Chiron paused, as if trying to think of an answer. "I honestly don't know if I should be. The truth is, I can't be dead. You see, eons ago the gods granted my wish. I could continue the work I loved. I could be a teacher of heroes as long as humanity needed me. I gained much from that wish... and I gave up much. But i'm still here, so I only assumed I'm still needed."
Alex wasn't surprised if Chiron was a thousand years old. I mean he has met Lord Beerus who is a million years old.
"Does it ever get boring?"
"No, no," Chiron said. "Horribly depressing, at times, but never boring."
"Oh.."
Alex placed his hand on the centaurs arm. "I can relate Chiron, I also lost few people I love but in the end I move forward with my life since that's what they would want for me to do."
Chiron smiled at the boy, feeling a sense of assurance.
"Also, where's Annabeth?" The saiyan asked.
"Oh, look," Chiron said. "Annabeth is already waiting for us."
The blonde girl who he met at the Big House and also the one that saved him and gave him a tour around the camp was too busy reading a book near a cabin he wasn't familiar with.
When they reached her, she looked at Alex with her wisdom grey eyes. "That took longer than expected, Mercer." She said his last name slowly which earned her a glare.
"I don't know. Anyways wanna cut to the chase and tell me where we are going now?" Alex responded pun intendedly, it was now Annabeth's turn to scowl at the pun, while Chiron slightly chuckled.
Alex averted his glare and looked behind her at the cabin, which was cabin eleven. Not a fancy cabin or show off like the rest, but a decent cabin at least.
Cabin eleven looked like a simple cabin, regular old summer camp cabin. The threshold was worn down, the brown paint was starting to peel. Over the doorway seemed to be a caduceus symbol, which Annabeth told him what it was.
Inside was packed with people, both boys and girls, outnumbering the bunk beds. Alex was hoping he wouldn't end up in there.
Chiron didn't go in. The door was too low for him. But when the campers saw him they all stood and bowed respectfully.
"Well then," Chiron said. "Good luck, Alex. I'll see you at dinner."
He galloped away towards the archery range.
The Saiyan stood at the doorway looking at the kids, as they looked back at him. This was just awkward to say the least.
"Well?" Annabeth prompted. "Go on."
Alex nodded and casually walked in, taking a look at the entire cabin from the inside. The inside wasn't that bad, it was crowded, but overall a decent cabin to sleep in.
Annabeth announced, "Alex Mercer, meet cabin eleven."
"Regular or undetermined?" somebody asked.
"I don't know, you tell me." Alex responded. Which earned a few snickers. Also what was regular or undetermined?
They were still waiting for an answer, but Alex didn't know what to say, Annabeth did as she said, "Undetermined."
Everybody groaned.
A tall blond hair guy who seemed older than the rest came up. "Now, now, campers. That's what we're here for. Welcome, Alex. You can have that spot on the floor, right over there."
Alex stared at the guy who welcomed him in, for some reason he looked familiar. He looked to be under his twenties, he was tall and muscular. He had short-cropped blond hair and a welcoming smile. He wore an orange tank top, cutoffs, sandals, and a leather necklace with 5 different-colored clay beads. He had this thick and white scar that ran beneath his right eye to his jaw. Alex could relate to this guy, since he also has a scar on his eye from his previous battles.
"This is Luke," Annabeth said, her voice sounded a little different somehow. Alex glanced at the girl and saw her blushing, he rose an eyebrow at her. Annabeth looked at Alex who was looking at her and her expression hardened. "He's your counselor for now. Also he's the one that brought you in the infirmary as well Alex."
"I see, he looked familiar when I looked at him.Thank you for helping me." Alex said gratefully.
"No problem, I just did what anyone would had done." Luke said.
"Though, you're my counselor for now?" Alex asked.
"You're undetermined," He explained. "They don't know what cabin to put you in, so you're here. Cabin eleven takes all newcomers, all visitors. Naturally, we would. Hermes, our patron, is the god of travelers."
More gods Alex is starting to hear about. If there were saiyans here in this world, then he would obviously go to a saiyan cabin. He was a full blooded saiyan. Not a half saiyan and half Olympian god. He will just have to pretend he's undetermined until he found a way back home.
"Just a fair warning," Luke said. "Hermes is the god of thieves as well."
Alex narrowed his eyes at the campers face, some looked suspicious and were grinning. The rest were just snickering as they stared at Alex who was too busy glaring at the hermes camp.
"For how long will I be here?" Alex asked.
"Good question," Luke said. "Until you're determined."
Great...now Alex had to be in this cabin until he was 'determine", even though he's a saiyan and didn't belong here.
"How long will that take?"
The campers all laughed.
"Come on," Annabeth told the saiyan. "I'll show you the volleyball court."
"Didn't you already show me that?" Alex responded.
"Come on." She grabbed his wrist and dragged him outside. Though she had trouble doing it since he was muscular and taller than her.
When they were a few feet away, Annabeth said. "Mercer, you have to do better than that."
"Better than what? Acting like I belong here? I don't belong here and this isn't my home." Alex said.
Annabeth glared at Alex, but he glared back at her.
"I can't believe I also thought you were the one. But I was wrong again." she said.
"What?" Alex was starting to get annoyed. "All I know is, that I fought a horde of Dra-"
"Don't talk like that!" Annabeth told him. "You have any idea what you've? You fought againts a horde of dracaena!"
"I don't understand what's so special about that?" The saiyan responded. Annabeth groaned at how dense he was.
"A horde of Dracaena are unnpredictable when they are together, the fight different, move different, and attack different," Annabeth said. "They are a force to be reckon with if they are together. But you manage to fight them and survive. You know how many kids at this camp would wish they could have done what you done?"
"To get completely annihilated by them?"
"To fight creatures and monsters! What do you think we train for?"
"Maybe to show off how good you are with just using a sword." Alex said sarcastically.
"Will you quit acting so dense and stop acting like as if you been fighting your whole life!" She shouted at him.
For some reason Annabeth felt like she crossed the line, she felt the atmosphere change and her throat felt suffocated. She looked at Alex who's eyes flashed gold for a few seconds.
"That's because I have!" Alex shouted back at her. "Unlike you who's been stuck at this camp for god knows how long just training, while i've been fighting to survive and to protect something since a young age."
After he was done the sky started to change, going from blue to dark, even the campers were starting to notice the change in the weather.
"I thought it wasn't going to rain today."
"Alright! Who pissed Zeus off again?"
Annabeth looked away, ignoring the campers remarks about the weather, but also feeling bad for snapping at Alex.
"Listen, Alex," she said. "I apologize for my attitude but you got to understand that what you did and Percy who killed the minotaur, it's something all of us wish we could do."
"It's fine," Alex sighed, his anger calming. "Though, are those the same Dracaena that are in the old stories? Along with that Minotaur that Percy killed?"
"What about me?" A person said behind Annabeth. Which earned a shriek from her.
She turned around and slam her fist at the persons shoulder.
"Ow!"
"Don't scare me like that you seaweed brain!" Annabeth shouted, she took a few breaths to calm herself down.
"Sorry."
"Anyways, Alex. Meet Percy Jackson," She pointed at Percy. "Percy, meet Alex Mercer. He's new like you."
"Sup." Alex said as he extended his hand towards Percy. He took a notice in his appearance, he had wavy black hair and bright green eyes that reminded him of the ocean. He looked a year younger than him.
"Hi." Percy also extended his hand and both shook hands.
"Also I couldn't help overhear that you killed a horde of Dracanea," Percy said somewhat fascinated. "I killed a minotaur on my way here."
"We are cool for that."
"Yup."
Both boys fist bumped, while Annabeth groaned.
"But isn't there supposed to be one?" Percy asked. "And he died, like, a gajillion years ago, right? Theseus killed him in the labyrinth, so..."
"Monsters don't die, Percy. They can be killed. But they don't die." Annabeth responded.
"Oh, thanks. That clears it up."
"They don't have souls, like you and me. You can dispel them for a while, maybe even for a whole lifetime if you're lucky. But they are primal forces. Chiron calls them archetypes. Eventually they re-form."
"I know for a fact those Dracaena won't re-form." Alex said all of a sudden.
"How can you be so sure, Alex?" Percy asked.
"Trust me, they won't re-form again." Alex smirked as he remembered decimating them all.
Percy and Annabeth both stared at Alex curiosly, especially Annabeth since she wants to know more about his previous battles he stated he had done when he was young.
Percy shook his head before asking.
"You mean if I killed one, accidentally, with a sword-" He asked.
"The Fur... I mean, your math teacher. That's right. That's right. She's still out there. You just made her very, very mad."
"How do you know about Mrs.Dodds?" Percy asked.
"You talk in your sleep." Annabeth replied.
"You talk in your sleep? Weirdo." Alex laughed as Percy slightly blushed from embarrassment.
"You almost called het something. A Fury? They're Hades' torturers, right?" Percy said getting back to the point.
Annabeth glanced nervously at the ground, as if expected it to open up and swallow her. "You shouldn't call them by name, even here. We call them the Kindly ones, if we have to speak of them at all."
"This camp is seriously filled with many restrictions," Alex said, this camp or world he was in was definitely strange.
"Look, is there anything we can say without it thundering?" Percy said while sounding whiny. "Why do we have to stay at cabin eleven, anyway? Why is everybody so crowded together? There are plenty of empty bunks right over there."
He pointed to the first few cabins, and Annabeth turned pale.
"I think you should know by now, Percy. Only sons or daughters who have the same blood as one of those Greek gods can stay in those cabins." Alex said as he remembered what Chiron told him.
"Alex is right," Annabeth turned to look at the cabins. "You don't just choose a cabin, Percy. It depends on who your parents are. Or... Your parent."
She stared at him, waiting for him to get it.
"My mom is Sally Jackson," Percy said. "She works at the candy store in Grand Central Station. At least, she used to." His voice cracked at end.
"I'm sorry about your mom, Percy. But that's not what I mean. I'm talking about your other parent. Your dad."
"He's dead. I never knew him."
"Percy, I think she means that your father is one of those Olympian Gods." Alex told him. Annabeth nodded.
The saiyan wasn't gonna lie but he was actually surprised that these Greek gods would have kids with humans. That never happened where he came from.
Annabeth sighed, "Alex is correct about that. Your father isn't dead, Percy."
"How can you say that? You know him?" Percy questioned in a hopeful tone.
"No, of course not." Annabeth shook her head.
"Then how can you say-"
"Because I know both of you. You wouldn't be here if you weren't one of us."
"You don't know anything about me," Percy slightly glared at her.
"You also don't know nothing about me," Alex said, his anger starting to rise. Just who did she think she is that she knows everything about him.
"No?" She raised her eyebrow. "I bet you moved around from school to school. I bet you were kicked out of a lot of them."
"How-" Percy eyes widen.
Alex shook his head. "I never went to this 'school'," He said. "I've lived most of my life in the woods all by myself."
Annabeth was kinda taken aback by his answer. "You might need to inform Chiron about that." she said, still having a hard time processing what Alex said. Just how did he survive the outside world?
She stared at Alex for few seconds before continuing. "Let me guess, you're also diagnosed with dyslexia. Probably ADHD, too?"
Percy swallowed in embarrassment. "What does that have to do with anything?" he asked.
"Taken together, it's almost a sure sign. The letter float out the page when you read, right? That's because your mind is hardwired for ancient Greek. And the ADHD—you're impulsive, can't sit still in classroom. That's your battle reflexes. In a real fight, they'd keep you alive. As for the attention, that's because you see too much, Percy, Alex, not too little. Your sense are better than a regular mortal's. Of course the teachers want you medicated. Most of them are monsters. They don't want you seeing them for what they truly are."
Alex smirked mentally. His senses were beyond than what these demigods have or the gods here. He sense the power of Annabeth and Percy, and he was actually kinda surprised.
Annabeth was slightly stronger than Percy, but for some reason Alex felt a small pool of power deep within Percy that was ready to be release, if he trained then he would be no doubt stronger than anyone at this camp. Minus him.
"You sound like... you went through the same thing?" Percy said, breaking Alex out of his thoughts.
"Yeah," Annabeth nodded. "Most of the kids here did, if you weren't like us, you couldn't have survived the Minotaur or the horde of Dracaena, much less the ambrosia and nectar."
"Ambrosia and nectar."
"The food and drink we were giving you to make you better. That stuff would have killed a normal kid. It would've turned your blood to fire and your bones to sand and you'd be dead. Face it. You're half-bloods."
Percy looked at the ground in deep thought, probably not believing what she was saying.
"You said before that demigods have dyslexia and can only read Greek letters?" Alex asked, which Annabeth nodded.
"Well... I can read english perfectly." He said, which shocked Annabeth and Percy.
"You can read perfectly? The words don't float or confuse you?" Percy asked.
Alex nodded, "I don't have that 'dyslexia' stuff and I can read them without the letters confusing me."
"We need to inform Chiron about this," Annabeth said, though her voice sounded urgent. "If you weren't a demigod then you wouldn't have passed the barrier."
Annabeth was about to say something else, but a husky voice yelled, "Well! More newbies!"
The three looked over. The girl from the ugly, plastered, red cabin from before walked towards them. She had three other girls behind her, the same big, ugly looks as her, all wearing camo jackets.
"Clarisse," Annabeth sighed. "why don't you go polish your spear or something."
"Sure, Miss princess," the big girl said. "So I can run you through with it friday night."
"Erre es korakas!" Annabeth said, which made Alex tilt his head in confusion since he didn't know what that meant. Percy on the other hand undetstood what it meant 'Go to the crows!'
"You don't stand a chance."
"We'll pulverize you," Clarisse said, but her eye twitched. Perhaps she wasn't sure she could follow through on the threat. She turned towards Percy and Alex. "Who are these runts?" she said.
"Percy Jackson, Alex Mercer," Annabeth said
"meet Clarisse, daughter of Ares."
Percy blinked. "Like... the war god?"
"Who's Ares?" Alex asked.
Clarisse ignored Percy questioned and looked towards Alex, glaring at him.
"Ares the God of War!" Her face started to turn red. "He's is one of the best Gods in Olympus."
Alex tilted his head to side. "I still don't know who he is." He said. The three girls behind Clarisse glared at him.
"Whoever he is, might be the reason why you guys are... Like that." Alex pointed at them.
"True," Percy said. "Which explains the bad smell.
Clarisse growled. "We got an initiation ceremony for newbies, Prissy, Alice."
"Like what? Not knowing how to paint a cabin or smelling bad?" Alex smiled as he heard Percy laugh.
Clarisse sneered. "You're both dead."
"Clarisse—" Annabeth spoke.
"Stay out of it, wise girl." she retorted.
Clarisse grabbed Alex shoulder trying to drag him towards a cinder-block building, but he wouldn't budge. Instead he looked pissed.
He grabbed her wrist, putting pressure on it. She started to groan in pain as she felt her whole wrist was about to break.
"What were you trying to do?" Alex said as he put even more pressure on wrist which earned him a scream.
"Alex! That's enough, she had enough." Annabeth shouted.
Clarisse legs gave up as she knelt infront of Alex. "You done or what?" Alex mocked, still putting pressure on her wrist. She hissed in pain but didn't say anything, which only made Alex put even more force on her wrist.
She glared at Alex with so much anger that if looks could kill, he would had die. Finally, she nodded.
"I expect for you to next time behave or else it will end up worst." Alex warned. She was about to tackle him but the three girls held her back.
"I will get you for this, Mercer," She glared at Alex with so much hatred before turning to Percy. "You're next.".
Alex was about to step in but Percy placed his hand infront of him. "Don't worry, Alex," He gave the Minotaur horn to Annabeth. "I got this."
Before he knew it, Clarisse had him by the neck and was dragging him towards the same cinder-block building that she tried to drag Alex. Percy immediately knew it was the bathroom.
Alex facepalmed as he watched Percy attempt to break out of Clarisse grasp by punching and kicking. He had to give props to the girl for being strong. He shook his head before following them.
They walked inside the girls bathroom. There was a line of toilets on one side and a line of shower stalls down the other. It smelled just like any public bathroom.
Clarisse's friends were just laughing, and Alex tried to step in but for some reason he stopped when he noticed Percy's power started to rise.
"Like he's 'Big Three' material," Clarisse said as she pushed me toward one of the toilets. "Yeah, right. Minotaur probably fell over laughing, he was so dumb looking."
Annabeth stood in the corner, instead she was watching through her hands. Alex stood still with his arms crossed as if he was expecting something to happen.
Clarisse pushed his head towards the toilet bowl, but Percy wouldn't go down.
The plumbing started to rumble and the pipes shudder. Clarisse loosened her grip on his hair as she started to look around.
Alex couldn't help but smirk at what was going to happen.
Water shot out of the toilet, avoiding percy and went towards Clarisse who screamed behind him.
Percy turned as more water blasted out of the toilet again, hitting Clarisse straight in the face with so much force it pushed her down on to her ass. The water continued to attack her like a spray from a fire hose, pushing her backward into a shower stall.
She struggled and gasp as her friends went towards her. But the other six toilets exploded and more streams of toilet water blasted them back. The showers also acted up and together all the fixtures sprayed the camouflage girls right out of the bathroom.
Alex watched with interest as the water started to die down, along with Percy's power level.
The whole bathroom was flooded. Annabeth hadn't been spared, Alex was dry since he created a ki shield to stop the water from coming towards him.
Percy stood up, but his legs where shaking.
Annabeth stood in the same exact place, staring at Percy with a shock look on her face before saying, "How did you..."
"I don't know."
"What was that?" Alex asked as he approached them.
"You're not wet?" Annabeth asked, which Alex shook his head.
"I quickly ran out the bathroom and came back in." He lied, Annabeth glared at him for leaving her there.
They walked outside. Clarisse and her friends were sprawled in the mud, a bunch of campers appeared and gawk. Clarisse's hair was flattened across her face. Her jacket was slopping and she smelled like the sewage.
Clarisse looked up and gave Percy a look of absolute hatred. "You're dead new boy," she said before turning to Alex and her glare intensified with more hatred. "You too."
Alex scoffed. "If you want me to make you kneel infront of me again, just try attacking me again."
"Or gargle with toilet water again." Percy added.
Her friends had to held her back. They dragged her back to their cabin, with her shouting threats at them. The campers had to avoid her flailing feet.
"Well... That was eventful." Alex said as he turned to look at Annabeth, who was staring at him and Percy.
"What?" Percy demanded. "What are you thinking?"
"I'm thinking," she said. "That I want both of you on my team for capture the flag on friday."
Alex gave her a blank face before replying.
"Why?"
And done! Long chapter if you ask me but it was all worth it since I couldn't post earlier. School and work has been making my life busy. Also to answer your question. Yes, Alex is a full blooded saiyan and isn't the son of one of the Greek Gods.
I'm thinking in making a God of Destruction visit Alex and meeting the Greek gods, maybe making them fear him.
I might also add a few more Gods to appear in the story, just a heads up.
Thank you for reading and review!
