Chapter 9:
Goku and Bulma woke the next day and felt at peace holding each other.
"Goodmorning Goku." Bulma stated as she kissed his lips, which made Goku smile.
"Goodmorning Bulma." Goku responded back.
"What are your plans for today?" Bulma asked as she played with Goku's thick locks.
"Well, I wanted to spend my day with you...if that is okay. I don't feel like training." Goku responded, stretching out his body and sitting up in the bed.
"That will be nice, especially this is my last day to rest before my mom brings him to my quarter of the house." Bulma also stretched.
"Do you want me to get you a senzu bean, that will help erase your bruise and scars." Goku asked.
"Yea, that will be nice. I don't want no one to see what happened to me." Bulma stated as she got up and exposed her back side to Goku.
"Nice view." Goku laughed as he stared at her frame.
"Goku, you are so forward…" She reached and grabbed her robe. "I have a question for you."
"Go for it." Goku turned to get out of the bed and put on his boxers.
"You have shown me a new side to you.. A serious, romantic and smart side of you. Why don't you show that side more often to others, but you show your childish side more?" Bulmas asked as she stared at Goku for response.
"Well, everyone assume that I am dumb or childish. Y'all never really tried to get to know me…" He stood as he looked at Bulma, "Y'all just view me as a fighter but I have more layers than that.I tried to show that to Chichi but she was busy doing her and probably cheating the whole time to recognize or appreciate. And I think that is why Yamcha and her did what they did. They thought I was so nice that I would just stick around."
"Goku, I am sorry if I ever made you feel like you can be your real self." Bulma bowed her head down.
"Oh no...You are good." Goku assured her. " Well, let me freshen up and I will get you those senzu beans."
Goku and Bulma prepared for the day and Goku went to get some senzu beans.
Goku immediately grabbed the senzu beans from Yarijobe and arrived at Capsule corp. When he walked into the room, he noticed Bulma holding Trunks.
"Hey Trunks." Goku went to sit near Bulma and looked at Trunks.
"Wait, your mom saw your face." Goku realized that Mrs. Brief had to drop Trunks and noticed her face.
"Yea, I actually went to her and told her everything. I also told her that Vegeta is not welcome on the premises." Bulma stated as she held Trunks closer.
"That's good for you. I'm proud of you." Goku stated as he stared at Trunks and Bulma, "Can I hold him?"
Bulma stared in awe as she handed Trunks to Goku. Vegeta never held his son but Goku wanted to hold him.
"Here is a senzu bean… take one" Goku handed her the senzu bean and held trunks in his arms. Goku then lifts Trunks up in the air, letting the blanket unravel off of him. "Where is his tail?"
Bulma lowered her head, remembering what Vegeta said about their son, "He did have a tail, and he picked up a lot of earthling physical traits."
"Oh that's cool. A Saiyan with purple hair! He is going to be strong, with training he will probably be stronger than anyone in the universe." Goku said as he pretended to fly Trunks in the air, making airplane noises.
Bulma stared at Goku as he continued to play with Trunks, "Goku… you are amazing."
Goku stopped and smiled super hard.
Goku continued to take care of Trunks for the day, as he let Bulma rest for the day.
The night slowly came and Goku placed Trunks in his room playing soft lullaby music. Goku then turned the monitor on and walked into the room with Bulma.
"He is sleep." Goku stated as he sat beside her in the bed.
"Goku, can you move in with me?" Bulma asked but quickly covered her mouth regretting the question. "Oh, I am sorry for asking the question. I know you don't want to move in."
Goku looked at her and started laughing.
"What is so funny Goku?" Bulma asked.
" You.. I didn't even get a chance to answer you." Goku paused and stared at her, "Yes, I want to move in."
"Really? Don't worry, I would keep Trunks out your way and everything." Bulma assured him.
Goku shook his head, "Bulma...I will help you with Trunks. I will raise Trunks as my own. I love him and you." Goku touches Bulma's cheek softly. "I'm not going anywhere."
"I love you Goku." Bulma stated without realizing what she said.
Goku's eyes widened in surprise, for he alway told her he loved her but she never said it before.
" Did you realize what you just said." Goku asked.
"Yes…" Bulma paused and reached out to hug Goku, "I love you."
Goku's heart warmed at the sensation of her words and the way her body curved into his.
"I love you too…. More than you ever know." Goku whispered as he hugged her back.
They slowly fell in the bed and Goku watched Bulma as she slept. Goku twirled his fingers through her blue hair. "I promise I will keep you and Trunks safe.."
