After breakfast, Draco led me to Transfiguration, which we were having with the Gryffindors. I was sitting next to Draco, because someone was already sitting next to Ron. The Gryffindors had all sat together on one side and the Slytherins had to sit together on the other side. Draco seemed happy I was sitting with him.

"Good morning class. I am Professor Ira Avery, but you can call me Professor Avery. This is my assistant Professor Drax Mulciber. You can call him Professor Mulciber." Mulicber gave a smirk and waved.

"Good morning class."

"The first thing I want to say, which I am sure will please all of you, is that there are no essays in my class. No, instead you merely have to practice what I teach in class and bring proof of it. Instead you are graded on attendance and how well you can cast the said spell that day before you leave my class. There will be quizzes. This is to add bonus points to that days grade. For this reason, I expect all of you to read your textbooks before you come to class. We will be learning how to transform a desk into a pig, or dog, next week. Today's lesson will be about review from what you have learned about these last six years."

At the end of class, I was glad Professor Avery seemed so nice. This must be the other Avery's dad or something. He called himself Reese I think… This break period, and during lunch, I finally just wrote down everything I could remember about the short open ended essay Tom wanted and organized it into an essay.

After lunch was Charms with the Hufflepuffs… I sat down next to Colin, just to make him happy, since Hermione was sitting with someone else and I didn't want to sit with Draco again… not that I have anything against him, I just don't want to accept the fact that I'm a Slytherin now.

"Good afternoon class. I am Professor Kade Rosier, and this is my assistant Professor Reese Avery. Welcome back to another year of Charms classes! I want to remind you of our usual rules with respect to classroom conduct and academic honesty. This ought to be nothing new for any of you, as these rules have not changed in the six years you have attended Hogwarts so far. Classroom conduct ought to be self-explanatory. Disrespect will not be tolerated; neither will cursing, harassing, or any other inappropriate behaviour. Any assignment that includes such topics will be given a failing grade, and will not be allowed a retake. Though I am sure you have heard this multiple times in every class already, I want to remind you of the importance of academic honesty. Plagiarism and cheating are considered a serious offence. If you are caught doing so, you will be sent to the Supreme Headmaster or the Headmaster and you will receive a T on your assignment. Speaking of short answers, and essays, I want to remind you all that you are to answer all questions in complete sentences." He gave us a smile, rather a smirk. "You will receive 30% for correct spelling and grammar, 30% for word count, 30% for content, and 10% extra credit for each inch extra. We will cover more theoretical aspects of charms and more complex spells than you have learned so far. This month we will be learning what careers there are in Charming. I do assure you that by the end of the year, you will be able to create portkeys, a magical way to travel from one place to another, besides Apparition or such."

He continued on about what he expected from us in this class until it was almost over. "I expect an essay about what you want to learn from this class."
