screwed up and wouldn't show my last updates for days. While I do have Favorites and Follows for this, I have no reviews yet. Not surprising thanks to the MULTIPLE DAYS nothing was done with the glitch.

Now, this does tie into my "REMNANTS" series, which started with "Remnants of the Wild", a RWBY/Breath of the Wild crossover. It was then followed by "Remnants of Hyrule", a mostly cleaning Hyrule of the monsters with elements from Four Swords Adventures mixed in.

However, I realized that my main hero-Jaune-had never done a Link-style journey. As in he never was alone. He had the Champions, RWBY, and JNPR helping him. And with something I discovered when I got Skyrim for the Switch (the Master Sword, Hylian Shield, and Champion's Tunic on the Throat of the World), I realized I could weaken him and connect the realms of Hyrule/Remnant and Tamriel; especially if there was no one to stop the World Eater. I do have an order of boosts that I will do upon each level up for this playthough: health, stamina, health, stamina, magicka.

Here are Jaune's stats as of the beginning of the chapter:

Remnants of Skyrim

ch 3: Bleak Falls Barrow

The inside of Dragonsreach was almost like a makeshift throne room. A well maintained carpet went all the way from the door, up a couple stairs to just before a firepit that had two tables on either side of it. The eating utensils, and even the plates, were made of pure silver and bronze. Another stairway lead to a carpeted area where a throne sat. Upon the cushioned, elaborate, wooden throne sat a man in a fancy silk tunic in navy blue with a fancy red and gold embroidery upon the front. White Bear fur made up a cape surrounding his neck going down his back, held in place by a gold chain going across his chest. An ornate leather belt went across his waist as black silk pants poked out from under his tunic to shined leather, fur-lined boots. The man had long, golden hair and a rugged beard connected to a moustache of the same color. A golden crown-more like a circlet-covered in gems sat upon his furrowed brow as he listened to people around him bickering; one was a rugged man with reddish hair and a short, spiked beard wearing an armor that was made up of leather, fur, and steel plates that was decorated by bones of some horned animal on his left shoulder. The other was a balding man wearing blue silk clothes with a steel greatsword strapped to his back.

Jaune gazed momentarily at the multiple white and gold banners with that horse-head logo before making his way up the steps. He only made it partway before a woman with bluish skin and pointed ears, and red hair wearing pure leather armor stopped him by pointing a sword at his throat. "What is the meaning of this?" She barked out in a harsh tone, "The Jarl is NOT receiving any visitors."

"Alvor sent me. Riverwood is in Danger...A dragon has destroyed Helgen." Jaune said, and the Dunmer-or Dark Elf Jaune realized as Akatosh's knowledge of the land rushed forth let her eyes widen as she sheathed her sword.

"You know about Helgen? The Jarl will want to speak to you personally. Approach!" She barked out, walking back to the man in the throne's side. Jaune stepped forward, watching people wearing the same armor as the gate guards eyeing him warily as they kept their hands on their swords.

"So, you were at Helgen." The Jarl upon the throne spoke with a strong Nordic accent, "You saw this dragon with your own eyes?"

"The dragon destroyed Helgen. Last I saw it was heading in this direction." Jaune said and the man's eyes widened.

"By Ysmir, Irilith was right!" The Jarl said, before turning to the man in the blue silks. "What you say now Proventus? Shall we continue to trust the strength of our walls? Against a DRAGON?"

"My Lord, we should send a detachment of troops to Riverwood. It's in the most immediate danger." The Dunmer woman said, making the man in silks argue about another Jarl in a place called Falkreath and provocation.

"ENOUGH!" The Jarl shouted, cutting both of them off, "I will not stand idly by as a dragon burns my hold and slaughters my people!" With that, he turned to the Dumner woman, "Irilith, send troops to Riverwood immediately."

"Yes, my Jarl." She said, turning and walking to the door leading to Whiterun.

"I shall return to my duties." The man in silks said, turning to walk to a room.

"That would be best, Proventus." The Jarl said, turning back to Jaune. "Well done. You sought me out on your own initiative. You've done Whiterun a service, and I won't soon forget it. Here, take this as a small token of my esteem." The Jarl said as he handed Jaune a set of heavy armor made of leather and steel. "There IS something else you can do for me, something of your particular talents, perhaps? Come. Let's find Farengar, my court wizard."

With that said, the Jarl stood up and placed a hand on Jaune's shoulder, revealing a steel sword attached to the Jarl's belt, as he led him to a room on the side where a man in a blue hooded robe stood going over different notes. A small smile crossed Jaune's face as the man's behavior reminded the hero of Ruby when she was designing a new weapon or invention.

"Farengar. I think I found someone who can help with your dragon project." The Jarl said, and Jaune realized that this man's project had something to do with the dragon that attacked Helgen.

"So the Jarl thinks that you can be of use to me." The man in the blue robes said, "Of course he must be referring to my dragonstone project. I could use someone to fetch someone for me. Well...when I say fetch I really mean dive into an ancient temple in search of a stone tablet that may or may not be there."

"What does this have to do with the dragons?" Jaune wondered out loud.

"Ah, so you're no mere mercenary brute but a thinker! Perhaps even a scholar!" Farengar complemented, "Well, when the rumors of dragons started spreading many dismissed them as mere fantasy. A sure sign of a fool is to dismiss anything that falls outside of your experience as fantasy. I learned of an ancient tablet containing the location of dragon burial mounds in Bleak Falls Barrow."

"Is...is it okay if I learn how to enchant and go through a spellbook first?" Jaune asked, and the two men looked to each other.

"I see no harm in it." The Jarl said, and Farengar nodded, "This is someone who can definitely succeed. He is planning ahead instead of rushing in blindly. You seem to have found me an able assistant, Jarl Balgruff."

With that, Farengar led Jaune over to a table with glowing green symbols and a blue crystal ball on it. "First you take an enchanted weapon or piece of clothing and put it on the Enchanting Table. The item is destroyed, but the knowledge of the enchantment is instantly given to you. To Enchant, you take a filled Soul Gem, which you fill by casting soul trap on a dying being..."

"Souls?!" Jaune said, stepping back, making a disgusted face.

"I understand your revulsion. Don't worry, only Black Soul gems can house people's souls. Casting Soul Trap on another humanoid being is HIGHLY frown upon, and is considered as bad as raping someone. Only unrepentant black mages, vampires, or necromancers do such a think. White soul gems hold souls of non-sentient life. Wild animals, undead. That sort of thing." Farengar said, trying to reassure Jaune. "Of course, if you have the coin, I have everything you need for enchanting and more spellbooks available.

Jaune nodded and went back to the enchanting table, putting the ring, robes, and hood he got escaping Helgen, learning the Fortify Magicka regen, fortify magicka, and fortify conjuration enchantments. Upon finishing, he felt a chunk of his Aura reserves return and the knowledge of how to more effectively deal damage with his sword. Jaune then opened the Sparks spellbook, and to his surprise it turned blue and changed into a ball of magicka which flew into him. Jaune sat in wonder as small blue bolts of electricity danced between his fingers.

With a determined nod to both men, he jogged out of Dragonsreach, heading back to Riverwood.

Morning was dawning as Jaune arrived in the little village. Stopping into Alvor's house, Jaune rested and talked to the blacksmith for a while, trying to get information about this conflict. Information Alvor was readily giving.

The Empire was formed soon after the arrival of man from an ancient continent now lost to snow and ice and had lasted through multiple eras. Recently, in this era-the Fourth-a war had broken out between a group of Alter-High Elves-calling themselves the Aldemeri Dominion whose troops were known as Thalmor, and the Empire. Weakened from the Oblivion Crisis-where the last Septim blessed by Akatosh-gave up his life to stop an army of demonic beings known as Daedra led by a Daedric "God" known as Molag Bal by merging with the Dragon God of Time-The Thalmor were bulldozing over Imperial Forces...until a counterattack to retake the Captial in Cyrodiil annihilated most of the Thalmor forces.

Both sides weakened, the Empire signed a treaty to create a ceasefire with the Thalmor-but one of the stipulations was the outlawing of worshiping one of the Nine Divines-the God of Man, Talos. Talos was mostly worshiped by the Nords of Skyrim, but at first no one really took the ban seriously. They still worshiped in secret to little shrines in their houses.

Then, Ulfric Stormcloak and his "Sons of Skyrim" started making a fuss over the ban, declaring the Empire was "unfit" to keep Skyrim as part of it. Both Skyrim and the rest of the Empire benefitted from Skyrim being a part of the Empire. Talos had first formed the Empire, and many Nords were part of the Imperial Army. In return, with the Northern Border of the Empire guarded by some of the most fiercest protectors, the Empire would trade supplies the people of Skyrim couldn't grow or make.

However, Ulfric's tantrum got the Thalmor's attention, and the Empire was forced to act. Imprisoning him for some years, but the Thalmor used this to...alter the treaty slightly and be allowed to carry off and interrogate anyone they suspected of worshiping Talos. When Ulfric was released, he formed a military army who called themselves "Stormcloaks" in honor of Ulfric's name. Then, Ulfric went to Solitude, claiming he wanted to face High King Torryg in traditional battle for the title. However, when Torryg stood up to face him, Ulfric-who was once a disciple of a group of masters of an art known as the Voice-used the voice to shout the High King apart before he could draw a weapon.

Ulfric then fled, and the Empire was forced to send troops. Skyrim was kingless, divided. Half supports Ulfric, half wants to remain part of the Empire. Thanking Alvor for the information, Jaune went down the path heading to the mountains, leading to the ruins Hadvar had shown him earlier; Bleak Falls Barrow.

On the trail, Jaune encountered a wolf and three bandits in the ruins of a tower. How Jaune missed the Hylian Wolves! You kill one Hylian wolf, the rest would scatter and run off. In Skyrim, wolves would attack until they were all dead. Jaune did take solace in the fact he killed the bandits upon the things they shouted, like they would "Skin him alive", that "he should run so they could stab him in the back", or that "He'd be easier to rob when he's dead". Seeing that these...thugs that now lay dead in the snow with blood pooling under their bodies from the sword gashes, would shout that to someone OBVIOUSLY armed... he feared what would happen to a simple trader who got lost. However, he did realized that those in Skyrim did more damage to Aura reserves that those in Hyrule; strikes from a simple bandit were comparable to a Moblin.

Deciding to try out his healing spell, Jaune was amazed when the golden glow from his hand surrounded his body and directly turned his magicka into Aura. Ending the spell, Jaune stood and felt his Magicka reserves slowly rebuild themselves. Still, he found about 19 coins, a steel sword like Balgruuf's to replace his iron one, a steel one handed war axe, some metal bars known as lockpicks, more iron arrows, 20 or so more gold, and a small garnet. He also found a leather and iron version of what the warrior inside Balgruuf's residence was wearing, with an intricate metal shoulder design on his left shoulder as he placed it on in place of his Imperial Light armor. The Studded armor still left his legs and arms exposed to the cold, but it still offered more protection.

Continuing onto the path, Jaune stood in awe at the massive stone structure making up Bleak Falls Barrow, but had to move quickly as an iron arrow from another bandit passed to close to his head. Taking his long bow, he shut his right eye and notched an iron arrow himself. Then, he released it into the head of a bandit charging down the stairs with a hide shield and iron war axe. He jumped back as another bandit swung a two handed iron battleaxe where he stood, launching two arrows into her shoulders and finishing off with an arrow to the heart. He dodged the arrow of the last bandit as swung his sword, cutting deep into his chest and finishing by bashing the iron shield into the bandit's head; crushing his skull. With his eyes darting around to see if more threats would pop up. Seeing nothing, he pushed open the stone door and stepped into the Barrow.

Jaune ducked behind a stone pillar as he heard two more bandits around a campfire as they mentioned a Dark Elf in their little band had gone ahead with a golden claw he stole from someone in Riverwood. Dog-sized rats lay dead next to another dead bandit; Skeevers- Akatosh's knowledge provided the names of the rats. Six arrows took care of the two bandits, and Jaune saw one of them drop a Hunting Bow, which would replace his basic long bow. He found a chest, and seeing no key nearby or on any of the bodies, started fiddling with the lock with a lockpick.

Jaune, as he messed with opening the chest, reminisced fondly of a sister locking his room in order to try and get him to miss dinner after an argument. However...well, Ozpin chose him as the leader of Team JNPR for a reason. Turning the pick to the left, he slowly opened and undid the latch, revealing 69 gold, a potion that mildly restored stamina, and a small ruby. Going through a cobweb-filled corridor, Jaune tripped on an uneven stone and knocked a burial urn from a table. However, instead of ashes, six pieces of gold fell out. Picking up the coins, Jaune decided to tap on each urn or giant burial urn in case more surprises like that were hidden within.

After all, he was dropped into this strange land without any form of currency.

Going through more twists and turns, he went down a few stairs in time to see a tougher bandit pull a lever...and get skewered by a rain of poisoned arrows. Entering the room himself, Jaune saw a gate blocking the path forward.

"So what did the man do wrong?" Jaune asked himself, looking up to see two busts of a man with a design of an animal between the moustache. One had a snake, the other a whale. One between the two had fallen to the ground, also displaying a snake design. Looking to his left, Jaune saw three triangular pedestals displaying a hawk, whale and snake. Not only that, but it looked like the pedestals rotated. Jaune moved them until they showed the same pattern that had once been on the wall. Clenching his eyes, he grit his teeth and pulled the lever...only to hear the gate impeding his progress rise to the ceiling. He picked up a soul gem, a couple lockpicks, a few gold coins, and a strange book called "Thief" that apparently taught someone how to pickpocket.

He was definitely selling that book, he had no desire to pickpocket someone.

Cutting through some webbing after going down a spiral staircase, he saw the dunmer thief trapped in webbing in another doorway as a giant spider dropped down from the ceiling.

A frostbite spider, a creature who could deliver a potent venom that drained stamina and health. Seeing what bandits could do to Aura reserves, he charged sparks and fired the blue bolts of electricity at the spider, occasionally having to stop and recharge his magic. Seeing that wasn't doing much quickly, Jaune changed to Flames and blasted a stream of fire at it. He would do only short blasts, as his magic was slow to recharge, and occasionally would duck into the hallway next to the room and swipe at the spider with his sword through an arch too small for the spider as it left shallow cuts in it's exoskeleton. After the last swipe carved deep between it's eyes and dropped the spider dead, Jaune gained a small chunk of stamina-1/2 of what he usually unlocked in Hyrule, and understanding of what Alvor taught him about steel smithing.

"I'm going to cut you down if you hand over the claw." Jaune said as he approached the scared Dunmner who nodded in agreement, but then yelled "You fool why should I share the treasure with anyone!" and ran off upon his feet hitting the ground with Jaune chasing after him. Upon reaching another room, the thief turned around and charged at him with an iron sword drawn and, Jaune jumped back instinctively blasting flames at the thief, charring his head and sword as he dropped dead. Jaune knelt down and lowered his head as he took some time to re gather his warring emotions. From the thief's pocket fell a solid gold ornament shaped like a dragon's claw...and a journal. Jaune just skimmed through the entries as the thief bragged about the act of stealing until a few statements got his attention. "Golden claw, key to Bleak Falls Barrow." "With the claw, the solution is in the palm of your hand". Turning the claw over to where the "palm" would be, Jaune saw three carvings in it. From the claws to the bottom were carvings of a bear, a moth, and an owl.

So, farther in, probably where the Dragonstone was kept, was a puzzle and the claw was both the solution AND key.

The next room looked more like a crypt as unwrapped mummified bodies and skeletons lay in holes in the wall. Then, one stood up and drew a sword of ancient design and metal (if how black and rusty it was indicated) as it's eye-sockets glowed blue. Rusted black armor bands were fused with it's skeletal chest. A blacked helm sat on it's head as it growled out in a gutteral language. "Dir Volaan".

This must have been the Draugr Hadvar had nightmares of as a kid.

Not only that, but two others, one holding a greatsword, the other a war axe, joined the first. Jaune ducked, sliced and blasted flames at the three walking corpses until the lights faded from their eyes and they collapsed like puppets with cut strings. The next room was more of the same and by the time they were all down, Jaune's Aura was dangerously low as he cast Healing on himself.

Upon the next corridor, upon slicing through a dragur and passing through swinging axes (pulling the chain to make them stop afterwards), Jaune noticed a reddish liquid that smelled like...

"Oil." Jaune said, seeing a Draugr starting to step forward into the puddle of oil. Jaune stepped back and cast Flames upon the liquid, watching it burst into flames with explosive force and incinerating the undead. The two following it met the same fate, as the Hero of Hyrule picked up an ingot of pure silver that fell from the Draugr. He sliced through another one of the undead as he walked across a natural rock bridge and went down a ramp leading to a hidden chest filled with 30 gold, a potion of mior magic restoration, and three lockpicks near a small waterfall from the stream going through the Barrow.

Jaune continued further deeper into the barrow, slicing through undead and ducking past traps as he unlocked another chunk of his Aura and gained an understanding of how to deal more damage with arrows. It still caught Jaune a little off guard; not only was he unlocking part of himself but also improving a skill at the same time. Finally he came upon a door with three rotating sections with carvings of animals...and the key hole was three holes just big enough for the tips of the golden claw to enter. Switching the symbols to bear, moth, and owl, he pushed the claw into the keyholes and turned it. The three sections turned to display owl and with a grinding groan, the door slid into the floor and bats flew out.

There was a shallow stream going through it and a square stone coffin on a ledge with a gray wall. The language on the wall was foreign to Jaune, looking like claw marks. However, he groaned and approached the wall as the words were chanting into his head.

HET NOK FaaL VahLOK

DeiNMaaR DO DOVahGOLZ

ahRK aaN FUS DO UNSLaaD

RahGOL ahRK VULOM

Fus... that word echoed in Jaune's mind as the blue glow faded and Jaune understood what the word was...

"Force. Fus means Force." Jaune said, turning in time to see the lid of the coffin fly off as a tall Draugr wielding a blue glowing two handed battle axe of ancient make swung it's weapon at him, a layer of frost and ice spreading slightly on the ground where the axe impacted.

"FUS RO DA!" It let out a cry as a shockwave launched from it's mouth and made Jaune stumble back. Seeing the impact from the axe leave an icy gouge on the stone floor, Jaune decided getting hit by that was NOT a good idea, he kept a good distance while occasionally blasting the Dragur with Flames, constantly going around the room as it kept charging forward with it's ice enchanted axe. Finally, after a long struggle, the Draugr fell to it's knees and Jaune swung, cutting into the mummified undead deeply as the eyes stopped glowing. In a chest nearby were a few potions, an amulet Jaune put on representing the God that brought him here-Akatosh-and a staff that would cast flames. The draugr dropped it's enchanted axe, which Jaune picked up, and ten gold. Looking over where it came from, Jaune saw that on the bottom of the stone coffin was a gray rock tablet with what looked like a map.

This..."This must be the Dragonstone." Jaune realized. Going up some stairs, Jaune came to a handle that, when pulled, opened a section of rock leading to a quicker way out of the barrow. Looking over a money pocket, he counted out 801 gold coins...not bad...but he groaned when he remembered the LEAST expensive housing in any of the holds costed 5000 gold. It wasn't that Jaune wanted to live here the rest of his life, but he would need to have a safe place to store armor and weapons Ruby would want to study and sleep without being snuck up on by a bandit.

Yet, as he gazed up over the sun set on the river, he first had to find the owner of the golden claw in Riverwood.
