Katsuma looked at the pink dress in his hand with a smile on his face. "I can't wait to see Poppet's reaction when she sees what I made for her!" He thought to himself.

The annual Monstro City Halloween party was coming up in a few days and Katsuma decided to design a nice princess outfit for his friend (or girlfriend) Poppet, since Poppet said that she would like to be a princess for Halloween. However she didn't have enough money to buy a nice princess outfit at the store, so Katsuma decided to make a princess dress himself by using a regular dress and turning it into a princess dress. He didn't tell Poppet his plan though, as he thought it would be more fun as a surprise.

That was the thing though; Katsuma didn't know how to make a dress either, which is why he stuck to designing a regular dress and turning it into something much bigger.

"Well... I've got a lot of work to do, but it'll be worth it." Katsuma thought to himself.

He decided to put some cute little diamond buttons on the dress that shined like stars in the Monstro City sky. He originally intended for 5 down, but got a bit carried away and put not only 5 down, but 5 across and 5 diagonally both left and right. "I mean it looks kind of like a star so... it's not really ruined right?" He thought to himself.

He stepped away from the dress and looked at it on the faceless mannequin. He liked how it looked but still thought it wasn't enough. He decided to put a red ribbon in the middle. It did cover up half of the sparkling diamond buttons but Katsuma still wasn't too bugged by it. Well maybe a little, but still not too concerned.

However Katsuma still decided that this wasn't enough. He took one step further by painting purple flowers and red roses on the dress in multiple places. After he was done he took another look at the dress. It was at this point where Katsuma actually started to get concerned. He wanted to start over but he took a good while making this dress, so he didn't like the idea of taking his time to start over from scratch. So he decided to take it to Poppet anyway.

Worry started to boggle his mind on his way to Poppet. "What if she doesn't like the dress?" He thought to himself. "What if she actually hates it? What if she hates so much to the point where she's disappointed and thinks less of me? What if she doesn't want to be around me anymore?" Katsuma knew he was overreacting, but he still couldn't get the ideas off his mind.

When he got to Poppet's place he knocked on the door. He had the dress in a white plastic bag so that it wouldn't get more ruined by anything in the outside world. He stood there in a worrying daze. He didn't know whether or not this would have an impact on their friendship, but he would see.

Poppet opened the door and smiled at the sight of her happy orange fuzzy friend. "HI Poppet." Katsuma said trying to cover up his worried expression.

"Katsuma! It's so great to see you again!" Poppet said as she embraced her friend with her arms.

"I mean, we see each other everyday..." Katsuma pointed out.

"I know, but that's why I'm excited for every day!" Poppet joyfully replied.

Katsuma's faked happy expression soon turned into a genuinely worried smile. "Thank you Poppet... um, I have something to give you."

"What is it?" She asked curiously.

"It's a dress. I'll show it to you when we get inside."

Poppet led Katsuma into her house with an excited look on her face. "I can't believe you were nice enough to make me a dress!" She said happily. "It is a princess dress?" She asked.

"Well yeah technically, I guess." Katsuma replied. "I'm not sure if it's really pretty though."

"Katsuma, I'm sure it'll be beautiful." Popper assured.

"Oh... okay." Katsuma replied reluctantly. He handed her dress with Poppet replying with a "thank you". Poppet then proceeded to open the dress with Katsuma closing his eyes. He couldn't the bare to see the look on his friend's face the immediate moment she saw how ugly the dress looked.

Only thing was, the dress may be hideous to Katsuma, but not at all to Poppet. "Oh Katsuma! This looks gorgeous!" She exclaimed.

Katsuma uncovered his eyes. He then looked at Poppet very surprised. "Really? It looks good?" He asked. Poppet nodded her head.

"This... this isn't possible. It's over-designed. The idea of it looking good isn't possible!" Katsuma claimed.

"Katsuma, it looks perfect! It has a lot of beautiful decorations and it is for sure not over-designed. You did great!" Popper reassured.

Katsuma started to feel a little better. "Thanks Poppet." Katsuma replied as Poppet patted him on the back. "So do you want to try the dress on?"

"I'd love to Katsuma! I'll be right out!" Popper replied. She then went into the bathroom. After a couple of minutes, she came out in the dress. "So how do I look?"

"Wow Poppet, you look amazing! You truly do look like a princess." Katsuma said.

"Awww, thank you!" Poppet replied with a huge smile on her face. "Now I'm all ready for the Halloween party tomorrow night!"

When tomorrow night came, it was busy. Everyone was having fun and in different fun costumes. Katsuma was dressed as a ocean blue dinosaur, while Poppet was dressed up in the dress. She also brought along her pet Mr. Snoodles who was dressed as a brown dog.

"Hello everyone! It's me Poppet!" Poppet proudly said.

"Wow! Poppet... you... look... GORGEOUS!" Said Luvil as all the Monsters and Moshlings gathered up around Poppet.

They all dazzled in awe at the sparkling buttons, became fascinated at the ribbons, and were starstrucked by the flowers Katsuma had put together.

"Thank you all so much for the compliments! Although I wouldn't have had this dress if it weren't for my friend Katsuma!" Poppet said.

Everyone looked at Katsuma, who was blushing at Poppet's massive "thank you".

"I gotta say Katsuma. This is really impressive." said Diavlo. "You did a great job." Everyone agreed along with nodding their heads.

"Aw shucks. Thanks for the support everyone." Katsuma replied.

Zommer then went to the stage, grabbed the mic and yelled "PARTY TIME!"

Everyone started to dance to The Halloween Song that was quite popular at Halloween events. They did everything they could; sing, dance, talking, apple bobbing, you name it. And it wouldn't be this fun without Katsuma. Katsuma was truly the maker of fun.
