Jonathan Creek – A long way home
Chapter 15:
Sally glanced up at him with slight annoyance, he was bothering them with something so trivial right now.
"You probably left them in the bedroom, Now go and check?"
She said giving him the look that now was not the time and she needed to talk to Jonathan more.
"No, you don't get it there missing"
"Well you must have misplaced them"
"Maddie was in there when I took them, she saw me put them back in the bathroom cabinet and now there gone"
David stated giving her a stern look trying to get her to understand.
"So now you get what Im saying?"
"What?"
She suddenly turned to Jonathan and grabbed him by the arms, jolting him into some sense of reality.
"We need to go find her"
"What Maddie wouldn't take them surly?"
"Yeah well when someone looses a baby and is down and out anything is possible?"
His moms eyes were burning into him. Spurring him into action.
"Okay, well lets go then."
They all suddenly grabbed their coats and stormed out the door.
Jonathan POV: I cant believe I've been so stupid again. I shouted at her and she ran away. I have never been able to open up to women and tell them how I really feel. I've always been so scared and pushed them away, so when they went, it was then that I realised what I had lost. I've got to stop and try and find some confidence from somewhere. I'm sick of being on my own and now its about time I made a change.
"We better hurry" The sound of his father's voice suddenly resonating in his ear.
"Its starting to snow"
