After a while of thinking about it, I am definitely going to be rewriting this story. In my previous pondering I debated rewriting this because of the people threatening me for for not shipping Yang with Blake, but now that's the least of my concerns.
I mean that literally, because in addition to changing (my) Raven from a teenager to an adult so his role will be as a teacher (something that, as far as I know only Coeur All Aran ever wrote about), making a whole bunch of little changes to make the story flow better and the other changes I had been planning on making...
I am now set in this decision because of one thing. I had always been planning on doing this but now I know the full extent to which I need to address it.
The depiction of faunus and racism in RWBY. It didn't occur to me before that the White Fang were supposed to be analogous to the Black Panther movement, I simply thought of them as a civil rights group who lost their way because that's what RT wrote them as.
And like so many others I actually used them as stock villains, which now that I had a bit to reflect... Was just gross.
