"So, I was right about why she needed an anchor." MG breaks the silence that occurred after the video ended, seeming happy that he was right.
"She's planning on resurrecting her parents. That's what the spell is for." Kol numbly speaks up about what the spell she made was for.
"It appears that was the most helpful video she made. She only told us what the spell was for and confirmed MG's theory of why she needed an anchor but it was, all things considered, the most helpful video." Josie determines that out of all the videos they'd seen, the most recent one was the only extremely helpful video.
"Where was she? It didn't look like anywhere in the school." Dorian turns their attention to her location, as he didn't seem to recognize where she was.
"It wasn't anywhere in New Orleans, that's for sure." Freya makes it clear that wherever Hope was, it wasn't in NOLA, her not recognizing the location either.
"Well, she got a text from Mr. Williams before she ended the video, so she had to be somewhere on campus." Rafael deduces that the location in the video had to have been on campus due to the fact she wrapped the video after a text, implying that it can't be too far from the school.
"But where? As one of the two people who were raised here, I've been to every area in this school and where she was didn't look familiar to me at all." Lizzie joins in on the conversation, saying that she's been everywhere in the school due to being raised there and the location struck no cords in her memory, it being unrecognizable to her.
"There was magic in the background. I could see the aura from the screen meaning she might have magically carved a hidden passageway for herself to use when she's not in her dorm or New Orleans." Roman points out that magic was in the background of the video and reveals his belief of her possibly using her magic to create a passageway to her location.
"It wasn't in her dorm room, I can guarantee that. There was no aura in her dorm at all, like she never even practiced magic in there. So, if you're right then she didn't use her dorm room to do it." Penelope pipes up by stating that she can guarantee the possible magic passageway isn't in Hope's dorm room as there was no aura in the dorm at all yet it's clear that she's eager to believe Roman's theory.
"So, saying that Roman's right, where exactly would it be?" Emma seems curious but eager to believe Roman's theory as well.
"A magically carved passageway to an unknown yet possibly nearby location kind of sounds like the entrance would be somewhere that no one goes anymore." Landon voices his opinion on the matter, believing that the entrance-way might be in a place that no one goes to.
"There's only one place on campus that no one goes to anymore." Roman sighs out the fact that the place no one goes to anymore is the only one on campus.
"Come on." Roman motions the room to follow him, leading them to the area that no one visits anymore and they all find themselves in a dorm room.
"Welcome. Mi casa es su casa." Roman welcomes them in the dorm room then hints that it's his dorm and all of the witches can see Hope's magic aura around the closet door.
"You were right. She did make a passageway to an unknown location. She used the closet door." Vincent is the first to tell Roman that he was right about Hope magically creating a passageway.
"Now where does it lead?" Josie looks curiously at the closet door, wondering where it leads.
"More importantly, who's dorm room is this?" Lizzie's eyes wander around the room as she tries to figure out who the dorm belongs to.
"It's mine. After I got expelled, no one came here and it wasn't given to anyone else. Due to me expressing my interest in coming back to the school one day, Dr. Saltzman made the decision not to give it to anyone until then. Which is why this is the only place that no one else goes." Roman responds to Lizzie's question, saying the dorm room is his then explains why it hasn't been occupied by anyone since he left.
"It's a nice dorm room." Lizzie compliments the dorm, taking an obvious interest in it as though she wants it for her own.
Penelope opens the closet and moves the clothes that are on hangers aside, only to see nothing.
"Nothing." Penelope frowns in confusion causing Roman to look in his old closet to see if she's right.
"No, something's here. We just have to do a little more rearranging." Roman realizes that something's actually there then mutters they have to do some rearranging outside of pushing the hung up clothes away.
Roman then moves two board games from the closet's top shelf to the floor before he pushes all of the hung shirts to one side, revealing an entrance-way leading down a dark hall.
"So, who wants to go down the creepy dark passageway first?" Lizzie asks who's going to be walking through the passageway first, being the leader of.
"I brought a flashlight with me, so I guess I'll go first." MG holds up a flashlight and Lizzie immediately clings to his side.
"Great, I'm staying with you and the light because uh, I'm afraid of the dark." Lizzie expresses her interest in MG having a flashlight and sheepishly admits that she is scared of the dark.
Josie looks at the unfolding scene in front of her, clearly confused by it as she knows that Lizzie isn't even afraid of the dark but before she can say anything, MG and Lizzie lead the way down the dark passage, having everyone follow them in a single file as the hall is very narrow.
The group walks for a while before MG just stops which has Lizzie stop as she's right behind him despite holding onto his arm.
"Why'd we stop walking?" Lizzie questions why they stopped walking and MG shines his flashlight in front of him.
"There's a door with a keypad. I can't open it." MG announces the problem and why he stopped, causing Kol to make his way through the group to where MG and Lizzie are.
"Okay, good news, bad news. The good news is that there's no magical traps, the bad news is she used a date as the passcode. This might take a while." Kol realizes that there's good news and bad news, the bad news being it will take a while as Hope had used a date combination to keep it locked.
"Well, what date did she use?" Davina glances at Kol with a questioning look as she had followed him when he made his way to the front of the group.
"That's the problem, I don't know. Hope knows too many people, and I don't know how many birthdays she knows so the pass-code could literally be anything but her father's birthday. Only because she doesn't know it." Kol explains the problem with cracking the keypad when she used a date to keep it locked.
"Uh okay, so we think like Hope. We know she's not arrogant, so she wouldn't use her own birthday. Try her mother's." Davina advises that they think like Hope then suggests that he try her mother's birthday after starting to think like Hope.
Kol tries it but it doesn't work, much to Davina's shock as she starts to think like Hope again.
"I'm going to try her birthday, just in case." Kol decides to try Hope's birthday, in case she actually did use it as the code, but when he enters the date, it fails.
"Um, try Marcel's birthday; May 19." Davina nervously suggests that he tries Marcel's birthday but it fails after he enters it in the keypad.
"Try your own birthday. I mean, you are her favorite uncle." Davina continues to be nervous as she gives Kol another suggestion yet this fails too.
"So, it's not Hayley's birthday, it's not Marcel's, it's not her own, and it's not Kol's. That leaves like a hundred more birthdays to try and I don't even know if we have that many attempts before we get locked out or an alarm sounds." Davina lists off the birthdays that Hope didn't use before panicking about the fact they have more birthdays to test then expresses her uncertainty with how many attempts they actually have.
"Well, maybe that's the problem." Lizzie speaks up, causing Kol and Davina to look at her in confusion.
"I mean, when you see a date, you immediately go for birthdays. But a date can be anything. It can be a birthday, or a house number, or a year, or an anniversary…" Lizzie trails off and Roman rushes to the front of the group after Lizzie mentioned that it could be an anniversary.
Roman crouches in front of the keypad and types something that Kol, Davina, Lizzie, and MG can't see but whatever he typed caused the keypad's light to turn green.
"You were right. We had to think like Hope." Roman gives Davina credit for her belief of having to think like Hope then he opens the door and lets them all walk in before walking in himself.
"What is this place?" Josie looks at the room, seemingly in awe as the entire room is lit up with candles and she walks around until she bumps into something invisible.
"This is definitely the room from the video." Rafael points out that they're in the room from the last video they watched.
"Guys, I keep bumping into something but nothing's here." Josie has the group turn their attention to her as she tries to keep walking yet is clearly blocked from doing so.
"Dude, that's because you're in front of a salt circle." Lizzie motions to the salt circle at Josie's feet causing her to look down and Penelope to walk over to her ex.
"This is a protective boundary spell." Penelope deduces that what Josie's bumping into is a boundary spell.
"What, is she afraid someone's going to steal the air?" Kaleb makes a snarky comment on why Hope would put a boundary spell around nothing.
"No, she's cloaking something." Emma determines that Hope is cloaking something as she heads over to Penelope and Josie.
Emma then does a small spell which allows the entire room to see a coffin within the protective boundary spell.
"Did I mention that she's kind of creepy?" Jed decides to ask if he mentioned that Hope's kind of creepy once he sees the coffin.
"It's still cloaked and protected, I just did a spell that would allow us to see it." Emma explains what she did, completely ignoring Jed.
"Uh, there's another salt circle right here." Lizzie is on the opposite side of Josie, Emma, and Penelope causing them to look over the coffin to see a second salt circle not far from where they are.
So, Emma heads over and casts the same spell to reveal that she has two coffins in this unknown location.
"Oh, yep, because keeping two coffins somewhere on campus isn't creepy at all." MG sarcastically states that keeping two coffins somewhere at the school isn't creepy, with everyone picking up his clear sarcasm.
"Well, the good news is that she used blood magic so I can drop the boundary spells." Freya claims that there's good news as she realizes that her niece used blood magic and heads over to Josie to mutter a spell under her breath then once she's done, she heads over to Lizzie to do the same thing.
Josie is about to touch the coffin in front of her but Penelope quickly grabs her wrist before she can.
"Don't touch it. There's a repulsive boundary spell on both of these coffins meaning the second you touch it, you will be repelled. Only family members can open it." Penelope speedily explains why Josie shouldn't touch the coffin, her words stopping Lizzie from touching the coffin in front of her too.
"These coffins have the Mikaelson crest on them." Marcel chooses to point out the coffins have the signature Mikaelson family crest on the lid and Rebekah scoffs as she crosses her arms.
"She has no problem with stealing so I'm not entirely surprised that she just stole two coffins." Rebekah is unsurprised that Hope has the coffins, assuming that she stole them as she reminds the group that Hope is no stranger to stealing, indirectly mentioning the trunk of Elijah's books.
Marcel opens the coffin in front of Josie and Penelope at the same time Kol opens the coffin in front of Lizzie, only for both to be empty.
"Man, this girl really loves her cloaking spells." Marcel groans out in annoyance that Hope loves cloaking spells, seeming to realize that something is in the coffin.
Lizzie and Josie nod at each other before walking to their respective coffins in order to siphon the cloaking spells off.
"Uh, Lizzie, who do you have? Because I've got her mother." Josie asks who her twin has, revealing that Hope's mother is in her coffin.
"Her father." Kol answers the question for Lizzie in a sighed out tone, not looking at all surprised by this new development.
Both Klaus and Hayley's bodies are completely healed minus the gray lines that indicate they are dead with both of their clothes being singed as they were both involved in fire when they had died.
"Two years ago, her father's body disappeared from his death site. I've spent that entire time doing locator spells to try and find him while also looking for a resurrection spell. I'm not sure if I should be impressed or annoyed by this new revelation." Freya confesses that she had been looking for Klaus' body for the past two years, his body apparently having disappeared the day that he died.
Everyone is trying to process all of the things that they've learned when Landon wanders to the opposite side of the room.
"Uh, there's a door here and it's clearly not the one we entered through." Landon turns the group's attention to another door being present but it is not the one they came in from, causing Josie to approach him and start siphoning the spells she senses around it.
"I hear Taylor Swift. That means wherever this location is, it's part of the school." Lizzie points out that she hears the music that's blasting through the entire school, deducing that they're still in the school.
"Most likely because of her magically created hallway. Where we are is on campus but not in the school." Josie speaks up after she finishes siphoning the door, assuming that the only reason they hear Taylor Swift music is simply because of Hope's passageway as she realizes that they aren't actually in the school anymore.
They all walk out of the door that Landon found and they realize that they're in the old mill where they faced the arachne.
"She has two entrance points. The one we entered through is to probably help her get to the school faster while this one is most likely for when she's already outside." MG reveals his belief as to why there are two ways to enter her hideout after pointing out that she has two entrances.
They head back in the secret room, closing the door that leads to the old mill and stare at the two coffins, unsure of what to do with them.
After a few moments, Rebekah gasps in shock, clearly coming to a realization of sorts.
"That's why she surrendered her magic." Rebekah blurts that she figured out why Hope surrendered her magic and they all look at her.
"The people who took her are probably looking for them. Locator spells definitely didn't get them anywhere so they decided to take Hope. Rafael was right, she gave up her magic as a way to ensure that no one could force her to perform locator spells. She was trying to protect her parents' bodies." Rebekah is very happy to have figured this out as she claims that Rafael was right in the fact she surrendered her magic as a way to ensure that she wouldn't be forced to use it.
"Well, we have the spell, the knife, the coffins. If we wait until tonight, we'll have the full moon. We could finish her mission for her so when she comes back, she'll be welcomed by her parents." Josie suggests that they complete Hope's mission for her, bringing up all of the things that they would need, stating they already have them.
"Alright, let's take these coffins back to the library." Freya is the first to agree to this suggestion yet they all agree to it with nods.
"Through the passageway though. We don't know if there are any unwanted people on campus and we shouldn't risk it by wheeling coffins across the grass." Lizzie is quick to give another suggestion, showing the Mikaelsons her adamant paranoia in the fact that someone is either watching or listening in to them.
So, they all head back through the passageway, taking the coffins with them after closing the lids, and make it back to the library undetected by the other students.
The group continues to stare at the coffins uneasily, still unsure of what to do with them until nightfall.
Before any decisions can be made, Penelope cloaks the coffins as soon as she hears the door open.
"Dr. Saltzman, we think we found something." it's one the female witch students, focusing her attention on Alaric as she announces that the witches might have found something causing the room to look at her in shock.
