I do not own…
It wasn't long till Levi and Kagome reached school and parked in the student parking lot. They were about to head inside till they were stopped by two upper class-men. Kagome couldn't help but sigh in annoyance as she knew what was going on. Levi and his gang have been known to be the best and toughest one throughout every school in Tokyo. So naturally every high school or middle school bullies gangs tries to pick fights with them.
"Really? On the first day of school?" Kagome muttered
"Fuck off, losers." Levi said "I'm not in the mood."
He grabbed her wrist again and would have continued on but the bullies just blocked them.
"So you're Levi Ackermen." The gang leader scoffed "The so-called strongest man in the world. You're nothing but a little shrimp."
Like Kagome, Levi wasn't in the mood to start fighting on the first day but the comment about his size was pissing him off.
"I say we teach these freshmen who're in charge here, boss." A tall blonde teen smirked "And then have some fun with his girl."
That comment pushed Levi to the edge and the next thing they knew the three bullies were beaten to the ground.
"Ever say that again about Kagome and I will end you morons" Levi threatened
He took Kagome's wrist again before continuing on walking and made it to the lockers. To his enjoyment his locker was close to Kagomes.
"It's too early for this shit." He muttered as he opened his locker.
"I guess it comes with being the toughest person in the world." Kagome sighed as she gathered the books she needed. "The tough always wants to fight the toughest."
"Tch, spare me." He scoffed before closing his locker.
He looked behind her and she noticed the annoyance on his face had deepened. It didn't take long for her to figure out why.
"Kagome! Levi!"
Kagome was tackled from behind by Hange.
"Oh hi, Hange." Kagome smiled and then saw Mike next to her. "Hello Mike."
Mike just nodded his head.
"Shitty-specks, get off the brat." Levi glared and shoved Hange off of his Kagome.
The mad scientist brushed off his shove and still stood close to Kagome. "Hmm...I wonder why you're so possessive of Kagome, Levi." Hange teased "You get so mad when someone just stands near her."
Everyone in the gang (minus Kagome) knew of his crush on the young priestess.
"Fuck off, Shitty-Specks." Levi glared
"Hey Kagome!"
Levi's eyes twitched in annoyance as the priestess old friends appeared and nearly dragged her away to talk. He really didn't like them as they were annoying, gossiped a lot and always tried to get between him and Kagome. Thankfully for him, Kagome never listened to them when they thought negative of him.
"Don't be such a gloomy grump, Levi, you have to share Kagome with everyone else." Hange teased
"Tch." Levi scoffed
That is when a commotion was heard from the hallway that connected to the Junior high building. He and the others went to check it out and saw one third year Middle schoolers pinning a small blonde first year to the walk while the other three were about to beat the crap out of another first year.
'Geez, what is this, Asshole Day.' Levi glared
Then he saw Kagome's little brother with the group that's being picked on and knew he had to do something.
"What the hell is going on here?!" He glared

After Kagome left Souta rang the doorbell and Carla Yeager was the one that opened the door. She informed him that Mikasa had just gone upstairs to wake Eren up. Once he stepped inside and closed the door he heard Eren yelling in a panic at how late he was. Mikasa was the first to hurry down the stairs while Eren was trying to get his uniform jacket on.
"Good morning Souta." Mikasa greeted
"Morning Mikasa." Souta smiled "Come on Eren, we're gonna be late."
"I'm coming, I'm coming." Eren groaned after tripping down the last step of the stairs.
He grunted a little before getting up and ran after his friends.
"See, ya mom." Eren said before drinking his milk.
"Right, study hard, okay?" Carla smiled "Have a good first day of school."
Once they were out the door they quickly ran to school. While running only Souta and Mikasa were able to dodge the citizens that they passed. Eren on the other hand managed to run into three and they all first years too.
"Geez, what took you so long?" Souta asked before giving him a dry. "You were staying up late again playing "Gods battling Titans" again."
"I can't help it, it just...reminds me of a dream I had once." Eren said
"Where's Kagome, I thought she was walking us today?" Mikasa asked
"She was but her new boyfriend arrived and gave her a ride." Souta said
It took them awhile but they were able to make it to school before the warning bell rang. The first thing they did was hurry to their lockers to get what they needed. Then they started waiting for their other friend Armin but they didn't see him around. That was until they got to one hallway and saw Armin getting pinned to a wall by four third years Middle school kids.
"Alright you little pipsqueak, hand over your lunch." One bully smirked
"Hey back off, you jerks!" Eren glared and charged at them.
"Eren, no!" Souta and Mikasa both said
Eren didn't listen and tried to hit the ringleader. The guy caught him and smacked the boy away.
"You little punk, it looks like someone needs to teach you some manners." The leader said
"What the hell is going on here?"
There in the hallway Souta saw Levi and his gang glaring at the bullies. The boy could only smirk at the bullies doom. He has seen Levi fight Inuyasha and these guys had no chance in hell.
"This is none of business, so bug off." The ringleader glared
"Tch, I'm really not in a good mood right now, so unless you want to get on my bad side I suggest you leave now." Levi said
It looked like the guy wasn't gonna until one of the guys stopped him.
"Dude, look. On his jacket collar, the pin." The guys said
The leader looked and saw what he was pointing at. The pin on his collar was green and had wings on it. He only knew one fighting gang that had that pin and had a feeling that this was the leader of the Scouts.
"So-sorry, man. We'll be leaving." The leader said
Without another word the four bullies ranaway. Eren couldn't help but stare in amazement at Levi and his gang. Levi noticed the kids' stare and just scoffed before walking back to the High school side.
"Wow, that guy was so cool." Eren said
"Armin are you okay?" Souta asked as he helped the small kid up.
"Yeah, I'm...I'm fine." Armin said
When Mikasa helped Eren up the warning bell rang and the four hurried to their homeroom.
.
.
.
Once the warning bell rang Levi walked over to Kagome, as they both had Homeroom together. Like always two of her friends flinched when he approached them and scurry off while the other one waved goodbye in a polite manner.
"Come on, brat, let's get going." He said before continuing on walking.
"I'm coming, I'm coming. What's got you so grumpy?" Kagome joked as she followed.
"Don't asked stupied question." He said
Then he did something that shocked Kagome. Instead of grabbing her wrist like he normally does, he took her hand into his.
This only made her blush.
"Um...Levi…" She muttered
"What?" He asked
"Um...why are you holding my hand like this?" She asked
"Do you want me to let go?" He asked
Kagome shook her head and Levi hid a smirk. He wasn't much for sappy words but he could show his affections for her. Hopefully, with a few more gestures like this everyday will show others' she was his.
When they made it their Homeroom Levi's mood turned gloomy again when he saw that their teacher was Erwin Smith. Not wanting to deal with him now Levi had them sit in the back.
During class Kagome couldn't stop blushing. During the last few months she had started having romantic feelings for Levi. Yes, he can be an ass at times and was a bit of a clean-freak but there was another side to him that he sometimes shows her. He was protective, loyal and caring (in his own way) towards her and his companions. Then there were the dreams that she kept having. Though, for some reason, they didn't feel like dreams at times.
In the dream she is the daughter of a noblewoman and a soldier that fought against strange giants that roamed their land. When she joined the training program that's where she met the look alike Levi. Much like in this world the two could barely stand each other at first but they would normally compete with each other. Sometime he'll win and sometimes she'll win. Suddenly their hate for each other slowly turned into friendship. In her last dream, unknowingly their friendship turned to something else when they went out behind the walls for the first time.
.
.
All that Kagome felt was sadness and anger towards the Titans in front of her. Moments ago they would have already killed her if it wasn't for her father. He managed to cut off one of the Titan's hands before it could crush her. In the end more Titans appeared and killed him, right in front of her. Unable to contain her anger anymore she went after the titans. She managed to kill three before she ran out of air in her 3DM gear. With her high in the air she landed very hard on the ground, that she ended up in pain everywhere. She was still filled with anger that she didn't even care about it. After taking out her last blade set, she ready herself to fight to her death as the two last titans charged after her.
Only that never came.
A flash appeared out of nowhere and sliced down the titan that was closest to her. Kagome was amazed at the speed and how the person sliced off the titans arms and legs first before taking off its head and then the neck. When the flash went to take down the last titan Kagome saw that the person was Levi. She was shocked when she saw his eyes turned red and he yelled in rage as he took the titan down. His speed was so amazing that it was almost impossible for her to keep up. The titans was down within seconds and Levi landed in front of her. Even though she should have felt grateful that he saved her life, she was still in anger mode and couldn't help but take her anger out on him.
"Why did you do that?! I didn't ask for you to help!" Kagome yelled "I was ready to die!"
Her words just angered him to the point that he pinned her against the nearest tree.
"Shut the fuck up, you hear me! Never say those words ever again! You think you're the only one that just lost someone today!" Levi shouted, tightening his grip on her cloak.
He just lost two of his dearest friends, he wasn't going to lose the only woman that wegde her way into his heart.
After Levi decided to work for Erwin they both regrouped with whoever had survived. When he didn't see Kagome around he strangely felt his heart ache. He thought that he lost another one that was close to him. That was until an injured cadet hurried over towards them. They explained that Kagome had saved them from a few titans and told them to run. They ran into Kanji first and told him what happened. So like any protective father he headed out to save her. Hearing that there may be a change that she's still alive Levi quickly hurried to save her too. He wasn't gonna lose her like how he lost Farlan and Isabel.
Kagome seemed to have broken out of her ready to die rant when he said those words.
"Isabel. Farlan." She whispered
She remembered her times with them at the training camp. Farlan was always able to make her laugh. Isabel was her bunkmate at the camp and they formed a sister bond. Knowing that they were both gone brought fresh tears in her eyes.
Levi said nothing as he shot a flare, singling the others where they were, before gathering his horse. Not wanting to be out in the open for long he had her ride with him. Kagome didn't mind as the pain in her body started ache and her horse got crushed by the titans.
"Levi...I'm sorry about them." She said
"Don't be sorry for them or for your father. They knew what they were getting into when they signed up for this." He said "As for your father...he died protecting you so you could continue living on. Don't cry like a brat cause he's gone. He died honorably."
All Kagome could do was nod in agreement and lean her head against his back. She silently gasped when she felt his hand rubbing against hers' gently.
"Brat." He muttered as he saw Erwin and the others' heading their way.
"Yes." She said
"Don't ever say that shit again, you hear me." He said looking over at her. "Ever think that way again and I'll beat that thought out of you."
Kagome couldn't help but smile, even though she knew he meant it she knew this was his way in trying to make her feel better.
'Thank you, Levi, for saving me.' She thought
.
.
That's when her stupid alarm went off and woke her up. She was starting to think that it was some memories of a past-life but from what she knew the year was 843 in her memory. But the tech there didn't exist in that time. Not to mention the place looked nothing like Japan and looked more European.
'Maybe Sango or Miroku would know? I'll ask them when I get back.' She thought
The bell that ended Homeroom rang, telling them that it was time to head to first period.
'For now I should try and do as much as I can this week.' Kagome thought as she gathered her bookbag and headed out with Levi by her side.
