Junior opened his eyes, and blinked away the bits of ice that had gotten stuck to them in the storm. He was with Annie, Percy, Libby, and Laura, the five of them were all wrapped up inside a blanket with a warm, roaring fire two feet away from where they laid. They were all still wearing their snow clothes, but they were within a large tent, surrounded by wooden totem pole carvings.

Suddenly, a tall cucumber (he appeared to be of Iñupiat descent) wearing a fur jacket and holding a sharp spear walked into the tent.

"Ulaakut."* The Iñupiat cucumber spoke to the children.

(*"Good Morning".)

"Ohhhh...hey mister!" Libby yawned, slowly standing up. "Thanks for saving us, but...where are we? And who are you?"

The cucumber didn't answer, he just sat down and warmed himself by the fire.

"Oh, that answers my question..." Libby replied, then she held up a small map she'd gotten from the plane. "Uh, we're trying to get to DENALI MOUNTAIN! Heard of it, Eskimo dude?"

"Libby!" Annie spoke up, whispering a little. "Don't be so ignorant! Eskimo is an outdated term!"

The cucumber looked up and then smiled.

"*Li, li!*" The cucumber exclaimed.

(*Yes, yes!*)

The cucumber opened the flaps to the tent, and gathered his spear and a flint rock. He looked back at the children.

"We..." Annie said. "We should probably follow him."

The kids zipped up their jackets and followed the cucumber past the cold tundra climate.

"Aaghhh..." Libby complained. "It's so coooooollllld..."

"Well, it's Alaska, sis," Junior replied. "But I'll agree with you, I'm freezing right down to my—"

"JUNIOR!" Annie hollered. "This is a FAMILY cartoon! Think of the KIDS!"

"Sorry..." Junior replied.

"Anyway, we've entered a very odd part of the forest that doesn't seem to be on the map..." Annie replied, observing the paper.

"NANUK!" The cucumber exclaimed, ducking down.

"What?!" Junior asked.

"WHAT'S A NAN-OOHK?!" Libby asked, feeling somewhat scared.

"I think I just found out..." Annie spoke, turning around to face the others.

The kids turned to find that Laura had been facing down a tall, angry polar bear...with blood-red eyes.

(*GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUNK!*) the bear roared, teeth bared, claws out, long strands of saliva falling from its lips.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!" The children screamed and ran like the dickens.
