I would love to know what you though in the comments and if there's any mistakes please let me know so I can change it.
The next two weeks were good for the Hummel-Puckerman family until one day Noah got a phone call he never expected to get.
"Kurt Hummel-Puckerman," Noah said as he walked up to the nurses' station.
"Relation?" the Nurse asked looking up at him.
"He's my husband," Noah said desperately.
"He's in room 322. Down the hall and to the left." the nurse said pointing to the door next to the nurses' station.
"Thank you," Noah said before making his way down the hall and to the room Kurt was in.
Noah stopped just outside Kurt's hospital room taking a deep breath before he walked in.
"Hey," Noah said softly as to not scar Kurt.
"Hey," Kurt said looking up at his husband with tears in his eyes. "I lost the baby."
"I know," Noah said walking over to sit down next to the bed. Noah just grabbed Kurt's hand not sure what he was supposed to say at a time like this.
"I lost the baby," Kurt repeated as he started to cry again. "I lost the baby."
Noah felt the tears in his own eyes as he pulled Kurt into a hug.
"Hey," Noah said once Josh had answered the phone.
"What's wrong?" Josh asked knowing that if his stepdad was calling him out of the blue at this time of day something was most likely wrong.
"Your dad is in the hospital," Noah said looking over at the sleeping form of his husband.
"What happened?" Josh asked worrying that something terrible had happened to his dad.
"He lost the baby," Noah said just saying the words making him upset.
"I'm so sorry," Josh said feeling terrible for his parents.
"Thanks. Look I know this is short notice but I really need someone to check on the kids for me. Just make sure they get home okay?" Noah asked not wanting to leave Kurt's side.
"Of course I'll call make sure there all home? Do they know what's going on?"
"No. they're all still in school I haven't had the time to talk to them. The hospital is letting Kurt go home this evening I'll tell them everything then." Noah told him. "I've texted them to tell them Kurt and I would be late home."
"Okay. I'll call them about five they should all be home by then. Call me if anything happens with dad okay."
"Of course," Noah said before he and Josh said goodbye and ended the phone call.
Noah and Kurt got home at about seven that evening. Kurt headed straight up to their room not ready to be around everyone right now while Noah got all of the kids into the living room to tell them what was going on.
"Dad lost the baby," Rose said sadly from her sit thinking about her own unborn baby.
"Yeah." Noah said looking up from his hands. "Look dad probably won't feel up for doing much for a few days. So we just need to give him time to get his head around it. Okay."
When all of the kids nodded Noah excused himself and made his way upstairs to his and Kurt's room.
That night was a weird one in the Hummel-Puckerman family.
Everything was quit.
No one really knew what they were supposed to say or do about anything that was happening.
"I know this probably sounds really bad but all I can think about right now is my baby," Rose told Josh on the phone later that night. "Does that make me a really bad person?"
"No, it doesn't. Your pregnant it's probably natural that you think of your baby when something like this happens." Josh said trying to make his sister feel better.
"You really don't think I'm a horrible person for feeling this way?" Rose said feeling like she was about to start crying.
"No, I don't feel like you're a horrible person for thinking that," Josh told her softly being able to hear the fact that Rose was about to cry. "You're an amazing person who is pregnant and you're just worried."
"Thanks for this Josh. I know it's late I just needed someone to talk to."
"Anytime Rose," Josh said happy to help his sister whenever she needed him.
"I think I'm going to go sleep now. It's really late. Thanks for this Josh."
"Just call me if you need to talk again," Josh said before Rose hung up the phone.
Rose laid down in bed a hand on her still flat stomach realising that giving up the baby might not be what she really wanted to do.
The next day was spent just like every other day except the fact that Kurt never left his and Noah's room. And the rest of the week carried on pretty much the same.
By the end of the first week, Noah had convinced Kurt to go see a therapist to talk about what happened.
After that everything started to go back to the way it was. Kurt went back to work, came down for dinner and was just back to acting the way he used to.
"Is everything going to be okay?" Rose asked Noah about two weeks after Kurt had lost the baby.
"Yeah I think everything will be okay," Noah said hoping that what he was saying was true but not entirely sure if it was. "Dad just needs to wrap his head around everything. We just need to give him time."
"He's acting as if nothing happened." Rose pointed out really worried about her dad.
"He's just trying to get everything back to how it used to be." Noah told her sadly. "As I said just give him time."
And Time did help over the next month Kurt started to wrap his head around everything that had happened and started to accept that it wasn't his fault and that there was nothing he could have done to stop it.
Rose was really nervose about her pregnancy and something going wrong but with the help of her parents and older brother she didn't feel quite as worried about everything
