For those of you who left reviews, a big THANK U! I hope you enjoy this story

After dinner, Seth and Jess sat by the tv to watch the classic, "To Kill a Mockingbird." Gregory Peck was phenomenal as Atticus Finch, fighting bigotry in a small southern town.

As usual, Seth fell asleep about half-way into the movie and Jessica had to nudge him awake. He did a slight snort and opened his eyes, adjusting to the reality of being disturbed from a sound sleep. "Oh, Jess. Did I fall asleep again," as he stifled a yawn.

"Yes, right during the prosecutor's cross-examination."

Seth stood up, gave himself a big stretch and put on his jacket. "Well, I have a busy day tomorrow, so I'll just be running along. 'Night, Jess."

Jessica said good night and locked up the house before going to her room.

The next morning Seth was busy looking for some files when he heard a knock at the door. "Lauren, nice to see you. Won't you come in?"

"Thanks Dr. Hazlitt. Wow! This office is just how I remembered it. You know, even when I was a child, I was always fascinated with your posters on the human body. I guess, even then, I was destined to become a PT."

Seth smiled. He was rifling through some folders and seemed to be a bit disorganized. "Can I help you Dr. Hazlitt?"

"No thanks. It's just that I'm having a little trouble finding a few files…"

"Here, let me take a look at the cabinet. I hope you don't mind. The last clinic I worked at had a secretary who kept horrible files and I spent a few weekends streamlining the filing system."

Seth looked at Lauren. Normally he'd find it offensive for someone to make such a bold move… in his office, no less. However, he didn't feel that way at all. In fact, it was nice to have some extra help.

They spent so much time that it was late afternoon before they noticed the time.

"Would you look at that? We've been under this pile of files for 8 hours now. You must be starved." Seth suggested.

"No, not really. When I focus on something, I can go for hours without thinking about food. I didn't realize it was so late. I have to do some food shopping I can't stand another take-out meal. Tomorrow I have an appointment with Mrs. Simpson about look at some office space, so I really need to go."

Seth walked Lauren to the door, "So how are things shaping up at the old Morley house?"

"Not too bad, actually. The plumbing and electricity work, so I've got that going for me. I do want to get a new fence and hire someone to do the landscaping. It's a lovely place and it will be even better when I finish unpacking. Anyway, I'll be seeing you Dr. Hazlitt."

"Bye Lauren and let me know how you make out with the office hunt."

Somehow, the house felt a little lonelier after Lauren left. Seth decided to make himself some fried eggs and toast for dinner before calling it night. Seth had a thought and he wanted to get a good night's sleep.
