"I can't believe were going to have a baby boy," Rose said a week after there appointment still extremely excited about it.
"I know. I was sure we were going to have a little girl." Joe admitted as he placed a hand on Rose's baby bump.
"I thought it was a boy I'm just happy to know for sure." Rose placed her hand next to Joe on her stomach. "You ready to talk to my dad's."
"No. I think asking them this might make Noah actually kill me this time." Joe said nervously.
"He is not going to kill you," Rose said with a small laugh knowing that Noah probably wasn't going to like this but that he would do whatever she wants. "And it's not like he can do anything he was our age when he moved in with my dad."
"Really?" Joe asked shocked as he didn't know much about her parents.
"Yeah papa spent months trying to impress granddad so that he would let him move in with them. From what I've heard it was really sweet." Rose told him before looking up as he heard the door open. "Jake."
"Hey." Jake tripped on the rug before stumbling over to his sister.
"You're drunk." Rose pointed out.
"M'not." Jake slurred.
"Yes you are. Go upstairs before dad's get home and see you like this." Rose told him knowing her dad's weren't going to be happy to see him like this.
"Not drunk." Jake just repeated not listening to his sister. Rose stood up and walked the last of the way to her brother.
"Yes you are, now go upstairs." Rose pushed Jake towards the stairs and watched as he stumbled up them to his room.
"It's only two." Joe pointed out as Rose came back to site next to him.
"I know."
"So you want to move in here," Noah said as he and Kurt seat down opposite Rose and Joe.
"Yes, sir," Joe said nervously not looking his girlfriend's dad in the face.
"Noah." Kurt said waking Noah on the shoulder lightly. "Of course you can stay here Joe."
"Thanks Mr Hummel-Puckerman," Joe said quietly looking over at Kurt.
"Of course, you're my grandkids dad, you need to be here for the baby as much as you can. And call me Kurt."
"Okay, Kurt," Joe said with a small smile.
"Why don't you two go upstairs and sort out some room for Joe, while I talk to your father," Kurt suggested seeing the look on his husbands face and knowing needed a moment to get his head around all this.
"Okay." Rose said also noticing the look on her pap's face. "Come on." Rose pulled Joe up from his chair and walking upstairs with him.
"Noah," Kurt said looking at Noah ones Rose and Joe were out of the room. "It's a good thing he wants to live here, it means he's really committed to being a dad."
"I just don't like the idea of him sharing a room with my little girl," Noah admitted.
"I know I don't either. But she is already pregnant what more can happen." Kurt placed a hand on Noah's shoulder.
"That's not helping babe," Noah mumbled giving Kurt a bad look. "Can he just sleep in the spare room?"
"No, he can't." Kurt said with a small laugh. "When you moved in with us Dad wanted you to sleep on the sofa. It took me almost a week to convince him to let you stay in my room."
"I know I know. Doesn't mean I like the idea of him sleeping with my baby girl."
"We have two more girls I don't know how you're going to survive when they get boyfriends,"
"There never going to get boyfriends."
"Jake came home at three drunk again," Kurt told Noah as they got ready for bed. "I think we need to talk to him."
"Yeah I think we do." Noah agreed sadly, having hoped none of his kids would have to go through what he did with alcohol. "I'll talk to him though. If this is what we think it is it will probably be best if it came from someone who knows what he's going through."
"Yeah." Kurt placed a hand on Noah's shoulder making his husband turn around and face him. "None of this is your fault, Noah."
"You're more likely to be an alcoholic if a family member is. Our kids have me as a dad. Of course this is my fault, Kurt." Noah said sadly.
"And your dad was an alcoholic. Noah if Jake is it is no one's fault. You hear that no one." Kurt pushed needing his husband to understand.
Noah didn't say anything just pulled his husband in for a hug needing the comfort that he only gets from Kurt.
"Do you know what," Kurt said when Noah let him go a couple minutes later. "It's our anniversary in two weeks so why don't we stay somewhere for the weekend, just the two of use."
"Can we really do that?" Noah asked unsure about leaving the kids.
"Of course we can the twins are almost fourteen, Rose is seventeen, we can leave them for the weekend," Kurt promised knowing that a weekend away was exactly what Noah needed right now
"Then that sounds amazing. I don't remember the last time we spent the weekend just the two of use."
"What anniversary is this one?" Harmony asked after Kurt and Noah had told the kids about their plan to go away for the weekend.
"Twenty-eight years," Kurt told them smiling over at his husband.
"Twenty-eight years." Jude repeated looking a bit nervous. "You deserve to go away for your Twenty-eighth wedding anniversary."
"Hey, buddy." Noah kneeling down in front of Jude. "You are going to be fine for a weekend without use, I promise." Noah told him knowing how nervous Jude can get about leaving them for more than a day.
Jude nodded at his dad still not sure.
"Were only going to be half an hour away, if you really need us you can call, anytime," Kurt promised walking over to stand behind Noah.
"Okay."
