There's the Marinette I adore. Appeared on the screen.

His comment was something she did not expected, so far from what she knew of him. She just stared at her screen. She formulated no thoughts other than to register that she was shocked in her moment of dumbfoundedness.

By now it must be midnight.

I am so, sor- She began writing, but stopped when she heard giggles resonating up her rooftop.

Her mouth went dry. Was she dreaming? Was she so tired, she began to hallucinate or began to hear voices in the back of her mind because of her lack of sleep? Or was she going insane? Immediately she climbed downstairs away from her bed.

No, she had no doubt of what she heard, she had been correct, someone is on her rooftop. Surely with a tail. And ears.

Surely getting a resounding smack across his face.

The first thing that popped in her mind, was to transform and teach that scandalous cat up her rooftop a lesson on what happens to wicked perverts like him. A lesson that would no doubt end with his pants yanked on a pole with his head down downwards that would remind him for next time he does something like this again.

But even if her carefully thought-out plan was completely reasonable, it would be irrational. The thought of suddenly leaving out of her own house, could make Chat Noir suspicious of her. Why would Ladybug be here around an hour so late? It doesn't make sense for Ladybug to be around this hour. Even if she said as excuse that some girl needed help late in the night. He wouldn't buy it.

Even as Ladybug she knew the cat could be so confident as to be impudent or presumptuous, but she never would have thought that Chat Noir was some sort of stalker.

When I see him again as Ladybug, I'm gonna wipe that grin out of his face and make sure he-

A soft but firm knock on her door broke her out of her thoughts. Marinette's mind froze instantly.

Having him knocking on her door was not something she expected. She thought he would just go away like a feral cat. Not come to her house to have a talk or nice sit down… and certainly not at this hour. Right now, she should have been asleep and she wished she was now.

It was… annoying to say the least. And a tab bit worrisome.

Maybe he needed help? Hell no, why would he text her, if he was all that time on her balcony. That would be weird. Maybe he wanted to do a prank on her? Or he was looking for attention, after all he was an undomesticated cat that thought he could do whatever he wanted.

And with all these questions forcing through her head, Marinette couldn't help but wondered why he was knocking on her door.

The same visitor knocked again.

« Oh! Come in! » She blurted a bit loud and heard the creak of the door go open.

At first glance she knew he saw the shock on her face before she could hide it. A small grin played on his lips. His head was downwards with eyes that wander in her room before, gazing back at Marinette.

She closed her mouth, then glanced at the ground before looking back up to catch his eye.« Do you need help? » Was all she could mumble.

In moments he was inside, before rising with a smile on his face with striking eyes looking at her.

« Cat got your tongue? » He teased.

Marinette's cheeks were suddenly kissed with a blooming color red, so cute against her freckled skin. She couldn't help but blush, her blush burning through her cheeks and her face feeling like a hot oven. She looks away and finds a distraction at her desk, looking at one of her designs that doesn't need any map out. She didn't know what to say.

The blonde haired cat smiled, allowing her time to compose herself, So while he's fighting back the smirk that wants to break out, his gaze, trouble-free, doesn't drop his eyes for a moment. His lips, soft smile like something cinematic.

When she realises it will take time for her brain to find the words to adequately express what she feel, she let her fingers trace her cell phone. She had no idea why she did that.

« Having trouble admiring me-ow. » He winked.

Her own private thoughts made her blush, a boy looking her way made her blush, being asked to hand out the text books made her blush, because of her clumsiness. It wasn't cute either. It wasn't a soft pink like a healthy outdoors glow, it was beet red. Then the blushing made her blush harder until she was scarlet and roasting hot. She was sometimes stuck with the tormenting blushes at times. Its sure is an unfortunate situation to be in for her, and she decided to remedy it.

« For me personally, when a girl I'm talking to is acting a bit awkward, it's charming as hell. It kind of gives off the impression that she likes me and is a little nervous. At the very least, it makes her seem more human. Maybe it's due to my own boldness but I don't want to date a goddess but », he couldn't help grinning like a Cheshire cat,« well some amazing fighter that takes my breath every time. »

Or she doesn't like you enough to make an effort.

And this… self-centered bastard was going to get a reality check if he thought that he could stroll in here like some sort of scofflaw. Who thinks more about Ladybug than the enemies. Who thinks that showing off his powers and suit or showcasing his muscles would have her collapse in front of him.

She turned her head to the side to avert his gaze, but the sudden rosiness of her cheeks keeps giving her away.

« You know some people are shy by nature. » He began.

The amusement that was in his voice seconds ago disappeared. Instead she was greeted with a soft look and he never looked down or away from her.

« I say you're shy by nature. » Giving her a more frivolous look.

« I suppose. » She spoke softly. And as she said this, she tried her hardest to say more, but was surprised when nothing more came out of her mouth. She couldn't help but thinking again he was just messing around with her.

Or the others times when Volpina played with Chat Noir and he just went along with. Or when he dared to flirt with Rena Rouge in front of her and even wink at her in front of her, leaving her in the back. Or that one time when they were fighting against Love Eater and he called her Ladybug instead of m'Lady. And how many times she tried to not admit, but that last one really got to her.

Its not like she didn't trust him either, she knew that he was not someone with bad intentions. He was always giving warmth, consistent love and patience. And an undying love for puns, which she thought was lame. He had that wild fire, reckless and untamed, yet undeniably captivating.

But she had trouble to believe he was not messing around with her. Though another part believed contrary.

« Some people think that shyness is a decease, but it don't bother me, you know. » He said softly.

Marinette slowly but surely nodded at him, which made his smile grew even bigger and bigger.
