Chapter 5: Who Needs You
Meanwhile, in the Great Valley, Grandma was telling the others about what happened last night and where Littlefoot was.
"And then when Littlefoot's Grandpa got sick, the Old One told us that only the golden peddles of the Night Flower can cure him. That's why I know Littlefoot's gone to The Land of Mists. To find the Night Flower."
"Oh no no no no no." Said Ducky.
"Or maybe he and Ruby are really off playing with that dumb old What's Her Name." Said Cera.
"Her name is not What's Her Name Cera. It is Ali." Ducky reminded her.
"Littlefoot wouldn't just go off and play Cera." Said Grandma. "Not with his grandfather so ill. Besides, Ali is missing to. She probilly knows the way to The Land of Mists. Ruby is also missing as well. I'm sure all three of them are searching for The Night Flower."
"Don't worry. We'll go and bring them back." Said Chomper.
"No Chomper. You mustn't." Grandma protested. "I can't risk you young ones too. The Land of Mists is a dangerous place. Promise me you won't go there."
"Uh, Okay." Cera said as she and Spike lifted up their back feet.
"I promise." Said Chomper.
"Me promise too." Said Petrie.
"Me too." Said Ducky.
Later, the five went for a walk with Cera still upset on the whole thing.
"The more I think about it, the madder I get! Littlefoot and Ruby should have asked us to go with them! But no! They wanted to go alone with their new friend!"
"Yes. Their new friend." Petrie said, agreeing with Cera.
"Maybe they thought we did not want to go." Said Ducky.
"Or maybe thought getting us would take too long." Said Chomper.
"Hump! Well maybe I changed my mind! Maybe I don't wanna go after them after all!" Cera shouted.
"Cera." Ducky gasped.
"Oh besides! Who even knows where that dumb old Land of Mists is anyway? I'm sure the grown-ups aren't gonna tell us!"
"Cera! Ducky! Petrie! Spike! Chomper!" A voice called to them.
Turning to tall grass, the five saw Ali running out from under.
"I'm so glad I found you." She said to them.
"Ali. You're back." Said Chomper.
"Where's Littlefoot and Ruby?!" Cera demanded.
"Well," Ali explained. "We were in this cave. Then there was the terrible Earthshake. And the cave fell down and..."
"And?" Most of the other asked. Except Spike who doesn't talk.
"You've got to come now." Ali said again.
"No we are not!" Cera said in anger. "Why should we believe you?! You probily just made that story up!"
"I did not!"
"What do you think Spike?" Ducky asked him.
In Spike's way of answering, he just walked over to Ali. Meaning,
"He thinks we should go." Said Ducky.
"Okay." Said Petrie.
Before Cera could protest, the others all left to find Littlefoot and Ruby. Leaving her all alone frustrated. She was stuck between if she'll go with them or just stay behind. It's her choice.
Back in the cave, Littlefoot and Ruby were trying to move the rocks out of the way. No matter how hard they pushed, no rocks had ever moved.
"It's no use." Said Ruby. "We'll never dig through all this."
"We need another way out." Said Littlefoot.
With that said, the two began to explore some more. Hoping to find a way out and maybe to The Land of Mists as well. Just then, they entered another part of the cave where light was shining down from holes up above.
"At least it's not so dark anymore." Said Littlefoot.
"Yeah. But this place is still spooky." Said Ruby.
But both of them still walked on. However, something was in the shadows as it got up and followed them. Littlefoot and Ruby stopped when they heard the aproting footsteps and turned their heads around to look. But no one was there. So they just walked on again. But then, the footsteps came back. Making them stop again but to see of anything was on their feet. Nothing was on them at all.
But then, something pushed them from behind. Looking under their legs, they saw what it was. It was a large Shell-back (turtle) growling at them. Littlefoot and Ruby screamed a bit as they ran away from it. Only to trip on some rocks and fall on their backs.
"What are you kids doing in my cave?!" The Shell-back demanded.
As Littlefoot and Ruby turned around to answer, they saw something off about the Shell-back. And then as they looked at the mouth, they knew what it was.
"Hey. You don't have any teeth." Said Ruby.
That got the Shell-back to growl weakly. Knowing he was cought in the act. He then sighed and said, "Yeah. I know. I couldn't scare anyone in my life depending on it. But you can't blame a guy for trying. This cave's a dangerous place you know."
"We know." Said Littlefoot.
"The name's Archie. What's yours?"
"Littlefoot. And this is Ruby."
"So tell me Littlefoot. What are you and Ruby doing here all alone?" Archie asked him.
"We're not that alone." Littlefoot answered. "We're with our friend Ali. If she's alright."
"It's just around this bend." Ali said as she lead the others to the waterfall.
"Wow." Said Petrie.
"Pretty." Said Ducky.
"I wish my mother was alive to see this." Said Chomper.
"Hurry. Littlefoot and Ruby are in the cave ahead." Ali said as she ran to the entrance.
"Ali's on the other side of this wall." Ruby said as she and Littlefoot lead Archie to the blocked up path.
"Whooy. This was some cave-in." Said Archie. "You're lucky you weren't hurt. I hope your friend was as lucky."
"You think you can help us dig out?" Littlefoot asked.
"Sure. I'll give it a try. Where there's a will, there's a way you know." Archie said as he started to pull one of the rocks. But it already whore him out. "Or a pulled muicle."
Meanwhile, over in a small craves, the Belly-dragger was just now stepping out of it. Just as the Sharp-beak flew over and landed on the Belly-draggers head. Making it roar in anger.
"Relax Dil. It's me, Ichy." The Sharp-beak said in leaf-eater tone.
"Ichy? You know I don't see so good!" Dil said in anger. "Why do you sneak up on me like that?!"
"Eh, call it a Mean Streak." Ichy answered.
"Well, did find anything to eat?" Dil asked again.
"Nah. Not a thing sense those baby Longnecks and that baby Fast-runner."
"Ichy, I'm hungry!"
"You're hungry?! What about me?! I do all the real work around here!"
"You?! I get all the food!" Dil shouted at him.
"Well you couldn't get it without me! I'm the eyes!" Ichy shouted back.
"So?! I'm the teeth!"
"Ah who needs you?!"
"And who needs you?!"
With that said, Dil and Ichy began to talk about how both of them are better off without the other.

(Song end)
With that said, the two Bitters split up fro each other. However, as Ichy landed on a rock, he spotted something.
"Hey Dil." He said as he flew back to her and pulled her to a wall. "Quiet. It's the baby Fast-runner and one of the baby Longnecks. Something tells me supper is served."
