Chapter 7: The Land of Mists

After finding a safe spot, Littlefoot and Ruby began to talk about what happened.

"And then, Dil and Ichy were just about to have me, Ruby, and Archie for dinner. Until you guys came to the rescue." Littlefoot said as he concluded the story.

"You mean I came to the rescue." Said Cera.

"But Ali showed us the way." Said Chomper.

"Yes she did." Said Ducky.

"And you no even come with us at first." Said Petrie.

"So? I still got here didn't I?" Cera asked in anger. "You should have asked your real friends to help you find the Night Flower in the first place!"

"Night Flower? What's the about the Night Flower?" Archie asked.

"I have to find it to help my grandpa who's sick." Littlefoot answered. "That's why we were in the cave in the first place. "We're going to The Land of Mists. To find the Night Flower."

"Well why didn't you say that in the first place?" Archie asked again. "I know a shortcut."

Upon hearing that, the gang all smiled.

Later, Archie lead the gang to another stream with a waterfall. This one leads where they need to go.

"Archie. You did it." Said Littlefoot. "Thanks for your help. I was starting to think we'd never get out of this cave."

"I want you to take good care of yourself Littlefoot." Archie said to him. "You and your friends are awfully young to be out alone."

"We know. It's just that I have to help my grandpa."

"Just do me a favor and stick together. You may be little. But together, you're strong. Goodbye kids. Good luck."

After the gang said goodbye to Archie, Ali lead them to the edge of the water fall.

"Guys. Come and see." She said.

The gang walked over and saw what it was. In front of them was a valley that was mostly covered up with lots of mist.

"Pretty." Said Ruby. "Is this it Ali?"

"Yes Ruby. The Land of Mists."

"Stay close." Ali said as she lead the gang through the forest. "If you get lost in the mist, you'll stay lost."

"How long until we find the Night Flower Ali?" Chomper asked.

"Not long now."

Petrie was quite afraid of this place. He knew that something could sneak up on him and grab him.

"Do not worry Petrie. I am here." Said Ducky.

"Me not afraid. Me terrified." Petrie replied.

Cera kept her distents from Ali. She was still mad at her. Of course, the sounds of the creatures were scaring her a bit. Until a slimy black creature (Salamander) stepped on her foot. Making her scream as she ran away to an edge in front of a river.

"What happened?" Littlefoot asked.

"Something slimy touched me." She answered. But then the mist covered her up.

"Cera!" Ruby shouted.

"AAAHHH!"

"She disapear." Said Petrie.

"We'll find you Cera." Said Littlefoot.

"Okay. Just hurry. Please."

The gang looked for her. And it didn't take too long as some of the mist cleared up.

"There she is." Said Chomper.

But then, a rumbling sound was heard. The gang turned around to see a stampede of Egg-stealers making their way over to them. They quickly jumped behind a bush as the Egg-stealers ran to where Cera as as they jumped over her and into the river.

Thanks to the Egg-stealers, the gang had lost sight of Cera. Until a pare of Dome-heads showed up and began to slam their heads at each other sense they were fighting over territory.

"Oh. Me get head-ach just watching." Said Petrie.

"Come on." Said Littlefoot. "We gotta find Cera."

But then, sky-puffies showed up and covered up the bright circle as sky-water began to fall. And it was very heavy.

"There's a tree we can hide under." Chomper said as he lead the others to the tree. At least they were safe from the sky-water.

"I do not like it here. Oh no." Said Ducky.

But then, another sounder was head. A squeaking sound.

"What's that?" Ruby asked.

"I think it my teeth." Petrie said as he shivered in fear. "Or knees."

It was Petrie. It was a pack of little furry creatures on top of the tree. One of them slipped and fell onto Spike's nose. Both of them yelped as the creature got up and ran passed Ducky. Making her sceam. As well as the others as the creature ran passed them as well and then under some flowers. But the ones the gang was looking for.

Spike then walked over to have another look at the creature.

"This no time to eat." Petrie said to him. Just as the sky-water stopped and the bright circle returned.

But Spike was still looking at the little furry creature (Mouse). The creature sneezed witch blew the flowers over him away. Just before he looked at Spike.

Spike was then waging his tail as the creature copied him. Then Spike tilted his head as the creature preformed the same action as well. And then Spike licked him. Making him giggle.

"He does not look scare to me. Oh no. he is cute. He is." Ducky said as she and the creature hugged each other. "He has tickly fuzzies all over him. I am going to call you Tickles. I am."

He liked the name. He was now called Tickles.

"Tickles. Have you seen our friend Cera anywhere?" Littlefoot asked.

"She's a Three-horn." Chomper pointed out.

Tickles then climbed up another tree and then to the edge of a branch to get a better look.

"Petrie take look." He said as he flew up and landed on the stick next to Tickles.

Just then, Tickles began to squeak.

"I think he's found her. Find her, I think he has." Said Ruby.

"Me see her too." Said Petrie.

And there she was. Still on the edge in front of the river.

"Cera! Over here!" Littlefoot called over to her. Getting her attention.

"I see you!" She called back.

But then, the ledge broke and she fell into the river.

"AAHH! I can't see!" She shouted as the water cerent pulled her away.

"Hang on Cera!" Chomper shouted as he and other ran to her with a vine. "We'll through you down a vine!"

"Hurry!"

Chomper then swang the vine in the air and then tossed at over to Cera as she managed to catch it with her mouth.

"Alright. Let's pull her up." Littlefoot said as he and the others, including Tickles, began to pull her out of the water. "Pull!"

They were doing quite alright. At first it seemed it was gonna be easy. But then, Dil and Ichy were seen aproting to Cera from her left. Just as Ichy flew on top of the vine.

"Thanks for showing us that shortcut." Ichy said as he bit the vine. Making it snap. "To dinner!"

Cera then found herself being pushed by the water once again. Dil was making her way over to her. Until a log bumped into her.

"Got you!" She said as she bit the log. Only for her to spit it out.

"You bumbling Belly-Dragger!" Ichy scarfed as he landed on her head. "That wasn't food! That was a log!"

"I thought it tasted funny." Said Dil. Until something hit her head. "Ow! You hit me!"

"I did not! Though that's not a bad idea." Said Ichy. Until another thing hit him to. "Ow! What did you do that for?!"

"Do what?!" Dil asked in anger.

"That!" Ichy shouted as rocks started falling on their heads. Until he looked up and saw what it was. "Oh it's those rotten little animals!"

It was them. Ruby through rocks down at them with her hands. Ducky, Petrie, and Chomper throwhing smaller rocks as Tickles pushed them. Littlefoot, Ali, and Spike using their tails to knock rocks into the water.

Ali then saw Cera grabbing onto a rock sticking out of the water. She then knew what to do.

"You guys keep them bissy. I'll save Cera." She said as she ran to a slope.

"Ali! No!" Chomper shouted. "It's too steep! You'll fall!"

"Don't worry! I...AAAAHHHH!"

Chomper was right. Ali had slipped down the slope and then hit her head on a log witch knocked her out.

"How nice. Desert." Said Ichy. "Head for shore Dil. My sweet tooth is calling."

"But Ichy, you know the routine. Dinner first, then desert."

"What are you?! My mother?! Come on!" Ichy scarfed as he flew to Ali.

"Ali!"

"Wake up!"

"Look out!"

Ali slow woke in time to see Ichy charging at her. Just as she dodged him and made him hit the log and got his head stuck. Making her giggle as she jumped onto Dil's back.

Dil began to move vilently around the water to get Ali off. But she held on as Dil moved next to Cera. Alouing Ali to use her tail and Cera grabbed it as Ali pulled her up. Dil started to get more vilent as she tried to get them to fall off. But they stayed on as she ended up hitting the tree witch aloud both of them to climb up.

"Hurry Cera. Belly-draggers can't climb." Ali said to her.

"Ugh! You let them get away!" Ichy scarfed at Dil.

"Me?! It was your fault!"

"You're dreaming! Now be quiet!"

"You be quiet!"

"Oh yeah?! You're the one with the big mouth!"

"Yeah?! Well I otta,"

"Na na na na! I can't hear you! Na na na na na!"

As they continued to argue, Ali and Cera made it back to the others.

"Thanks Ali."

"No problem Cera." Ali said to her.

"Hey guys. You don't have to worry anymore. Me and Ali are friends."

Upon hearing that, the others cheered happily.
