Chapter 10: Everything's alright

The next morning, the gang arrived back in The Great Valley through the cave they went through when they first found the place.

"We're home." Said Cera. "This is the spot where we got our first look at the valley."

"It's beautiful." Said Ali.

"Come on. Grandma must be very worried and I hope we're not too late." Said Littlefoot.

Soon, they found Grandma still looking after Grandpa. Just as they walked over.

"Littlefoot. I was so worried." She said to him.

"We got the Night Flower Grandma." Littlefoot said to her.

"I hope it's not too late."

"It'll work Grandma. The Old One said so."

Later, Grandpa was eating the flowers as Grandma and the gang watched him.

"He ate as much as he could." Said Grandma. "Now all we can do is wait."

Littlefoot walked over to Grandpa as he stopped eating. Just then, Grandpa opened his eye.

"Hello Grandpa." Said Littlefoot.

"Hello my Littlefoot." Grandpa said to him. "I'm feeling much better now. I think your golden flowers are working."

"Does this mean Grandma and I won't be leaving The Great Valley after all?"

"That's right."

"Littlefoot?" Ruby asked him.

"He's alright. My grandpa's gonna be alright."

The gang cheered happily as they knew all that work had payed off. Until,

"Hey. We should be going now." Said Petrie.

"You're right Petrie. Are parents must be very worried about us." Said Chomper.

The gang said goodbye for now as they left Littlefoot's nest and went back to their families.

"Listen up everyone. We will be leaving in just a few moments." The Old One said to her herd.

On top of a small hill, the gang met up with Ali to say goodbye.

"Goodbye Littlefoot. I know we'll meet again someday." She said to him. "I'm really gonna miss you. And Ducky, Petrie, Chomper, Spike, Ruby, and you too Cera."

"Hee. Of course I'll miss you." She said to Ali.

"Oh yes yes yes. We are going to miss you very much." Said Ducky. "Now that Spike talks, he can tell you for himself. Go on. Say something little brother."

But instead, Spike just started to eat some tall grass.

"He can talk. When he wants to." Said Chomper.

"Come on Ali." Her mother said as she walked over with the Old One. "It's time to go."

"Oh. And Littlefoot." The Old One said to him. "Did Ali's mother ever tell you she's your mothers sister?"

"She is?" He asked. "So Ali and I really are cousins?"

"That's right."

Ali smiled. She was glad that she and Littlefoot are cousins.

"I'm sorry if you loved her as...well, you know." Ali's mother said to Littlefoot.

"It's alright. I already have a girlfriend. And she's right here." Littlefoot said as Ruby kissed him on the cheek.

"Well we better get going now. Maybe we can find some friendly Sharpteeth ourselves." Said the Old One. "Goodbye kids and do take good care of yourselves."

As they said goodbye, they watched as Ali, her mother, and the Old One, left to catch up with the herd. The gang also left to their nests. As for Littlefoot and Ruby, they stood there as all the moments they had with Ali flashed through their minds. She was a great friend. Especially for being Littlefoot's long lost cousin. They even remembered what she said as they left The Land of Mists.

"Maybe we'll all live together someday."

And maybe they will. Littlefoot and Ruby turned back to Grandpa to see that he was fully recovered. That made them smile.

"Ali. My cousin. Thank you for all your help." Littlefoot said as he looked at The Great Wall.

And so, as it turned out, the migrating dinosaurs left The Great Valley for lands unknown. And yes. Littlefoot and his friends, Cera, Ducky, Petrie, Spike, Chomper, and Ruby, would indeed meet Ali again one day. But that's another story.

Authors note:

Wow. 10 chapters long again. That's four stories in a row. I hope you all enjoyed this. And yes. I always thought Littlefoot and Ali's mothers were sisters.

The Mysterious Island is next. So stay tooned.
