Chapter 2- Reuniting the Past

I didn't think that I would be meeting him so soon. It's been very long and seeing him now it's hard to recognize except for his silver like hair. I notice three other people around him. They must be under his supervision. We were quiet for a moment just staring at each other than Lord Third spoke out.

"This is a very big surprise to all of us miss Nohara. How about you get caught up with Kakashi while Hiroshi and I talk about things?"

"Yes that would be nice."

"Splendid than I'll be seeing you later. Come Hiroshi."

My sensei and Third left while it was just Kakashi and I. Again I am not so sure on what to say but one of his students walked up to me.

"Say do you know Kakashi sensei?"

"Huh oh um yeah. It was awhile back."

"Wow well it's nice to meet you. I'm Naruto Uzumaki, and these are my friends."

"I'm Sakura Haruno and to be honest with you I've never seen Kakashi this shock before."

"I know this is pretty big news."

I looked over to the boy in a blue outfit but he didn't say much except for his name.

"I'm Sasuke Uchiha that's all you need to know."

"Man, Sasuke you're pretty much a mood killer."

"Hmm, whatever."

"Well we'll just let you guys be. Come you guys."

Sakura went off with the others following and now it was just me and Kakashi. I walked over to him and grabbed his hand to insure him that I am real. He finally came back to his senses and asked.

"How is this possible? I was there and I felt your heart."

"I know and it is a long story. How about we go and eat lunch. There I'll tell you everything."

"Alright and I know a place where we can eat."

Kakashi took me to the Ichiraku Ramen shop that we usually go to as a team. There we ordered our food and I told him everything that has happen.

"I see so this man Hiroshi was a reanimated ninja. I'm pretty impressed he lasted this long."

"Yes and like I said he helped me learn to use the three tails power. So I am able to control him slightly."

"Well still I am glad to see you alive. I guess I didn't fail Obito."

"Obito? Wait did you guys recover his body?"

"Actually that's something I wanted to tell you. When I returned to the Village and informed them of yours and Obito's passing. A recovering team was sent out to retrieve you guys and I was there to help locate you and Obito. Though you disappeared and we thought that maybe the Hidden Mist took you to extract the Three Tails out from you. As for Obito his body is gone as well and we aren't sure where it could have gone off."

"What? That makes no sense."

"Believe me I tried hard to find your guys bodies but still nothing came up."

"Oh alright well can I ask you something?"

"What is it?"

"Where were you and your team coming from when you snuck up behind me?"

"Oh we were sent on a mission to deal with a ninja named Zabuza. We took care of him but a few things caught my attention."

"And that is?"

"That boy with the yellow hair that you meant is named Naruto."

"Yeah and he's an Uzumaki. Is there a chance that he's their son?"

"Actually yes he's their son and the nine tails was sealed inside him."

"What!?"

"Calm down Rin. I wasn't inform till I notice during our fight with Zabuza, the nine tails chakra leaked out. I sensed it but couldn't fully see it."

"Well if you want me to help Naruto control his powers I am willing to do it. But besides him can I see your left eye?"

"Sure."

He lifted his headband and there I was happy to see.

"I see you still have it."

"Well it's that last thing to remember him by."

"Still no one asked how you got that?"

"No not really."

"Well maybe the Uchiha's are something special."

"Oh Rin actually another thing is that the Uchiha clan are gone. Sasuke is the only member left of the clan and his brother as well."

"What? How did that happen?"

"Let's walk around and I can explain."

We left the Ramen shop and Kakashi explained Sasuke's situation and a little bit as well with Naruto.

"Wow so both of them are pretty much in a similar situation. Lost their family and had no friends but seeing them now it looks like things are starting to look up."

"Yeah and you remember Might Guy?"

"Yes, I remember that you told me that you met him at a young age."

"Well now he's my 'rival' and at times tries to prove he's better."

I chuckled a bit.

"That's pretty nice to hear."

"Yeah but again still it'll be a long journey for those two boys."

Kakashi stopped and looked up to the sky. I can understand why he looked up but don't know for who. Than from a distance a ninja called out to Kakashi.

"Kakashi! Rin! I have a message from Lord Third."

"What is it?"

"He would like for you to come to the roof of the Hokage building."

"Alright. Let's go Rin. Hopefully you aren't rusty."

"Don't worry about me Kakashi."

We went off and soon arrived at the building. We were greeted by Lord third and Hiroshi.

"Why have you called us Lord Third?"

"I want to inform you that Hiroshi will be getting sealed right now. I was given a seal paper to remove the reanimation that was put on him. Before I seal Hiroshi, he wanted to give you one last advice."

"Okay."

I walked over to Hiroshi who was giving a smile.

"Well it is time for me to leave my student. I was informed of the Uzumaki boy. When the time comes be sure to help him understand his tailed beast. Kurama is a powerful foe so it will take time. I am though confident that you may accomplish the task. For you though, you may able to control the cloak form but for the true form you must really be in sync with Isobu. And to not let your anger take over. It will bring an unbalance towards the two of you. But again I trust you can do it. Farewell."

"Goodbye Hiroshi sensei and thank you."

I hugged him and he did the same. I was holding back my tears but some came out. He walked over to Lord Third and nodded to him. Lord Third place the paper on his chest and said.

"Release."

Than Hiroshi's body started to crumble down and a beam of light shine down on him. His reanimated fell to the ground and for a moment I thought I saw his spirit as well. Then the light disappeared and I gave one last look at the sky.

"He was a fine man during his time. He left the village to pursue his own destiny. He was killed in battle to protect a small village from invaders. I am glad to have met him. Now Rin seeing that you don't have anywhere to live. Why don't you stay with Kakashi? You don't mind that right Kakashi?"

"No, I don't Lord Third."

"Good then I'll see you two tomorrow."

Lord Third walked away and again it was just Rin and Kakashi. Kakashi begin to walk away and Rin followed behind.

"Where are we going Kakashi?"

"I'm just going to show you around my place and where you'll be sleeping."

"Oh okay."

We walked around from building to building and soon arrived at his home. We went outside and it wasn't that bad. I took my shoes off and walked around the place. It wasn't that bad and it really is a good place. I continued on looking and eventually I found it. A proper bathroom and I was just more than happy to finally have a bathtub and a showerhead. Kakashi seem to notice my excitement and became curious.

"Rin have you bathe when you were gone?"

"Huh? Oh yeah I did but I had to do it the old ways. It was a bit awkward but I did what I had to do."

"Okay but be sure to let me know when you use it. Don't want any accidents happening."

"Kakashi, don't worry too much."

"Let's get some rest. It'll be a long day tomorrow."

"Sure."

"You can use my bed. I'll set a futon out."

"Oh are you sure?"

"Yeah it's nothing."

Kakashi laid down on the futon while I was on the bed. I turn my head and looked out to the moonlight once again shining down. I am really looking forward to the next future.

-Months later-

I was in Kakashi's home meditating with Isobu so that I can be more in-sync with him but he's still doesn't trust me one hundred percent yet. I'm glad he lets me take the chakra cloak but only up to one tail. Still at least it is something for me. Just then Kakashi walks through and I stopped what I was doing to see what has happen with his team.

"So how did they do?"

"Naruto and Sasuke made it but Sakura and her opponent were both knocked out."

"A double knockout? How is that even possible?"

"Beats me but still Naruto is getting closer to what he wants?"

"For the village to acknowledge him?"

"Yeah but with the way he's going, I'm sure he will do fine."

"Nice so who will they be facing in the next round?"

"Haven't been decided yet but I'm sure they will reveal during the round. In the mean time I must go and meet with Sasuke."

"Why is that?"

"I'm gonna teach him one of my special techniques."

"Alright."

Kakashi left and so I continued on with my own training.

-Day of the Final Round-

I was sitting around the stands watching the matches go by. I was surprise to see that Naruto managed to take down a Hyuga but what caught my attention was the chakra he was using. He was using Kurama's chakra though it was the sign form. Just like when I first try to do it. Still pretty impressive but the real fight was about to begin between Sasuke and Garra. They came a bit late though were given a pass. Their battle was insane and it really blew my mind. But then Garra started to act strange. He made himself a shield made of sand. I wasn't sure what he was doing but Sasuke activated his eyes and made the Chidori. When I saw it I knew what Kakashi taught him though at the same time it started to give me flashbacks. I ignore them and saw at the right moment when Sasuke penetrated his barrier. It was quiet for a moment than we all heard a scream. It came from Garra and he dropped the barrier he was using. There we saw blood dripping from his shoulder but he had an angry look on his face. That didn't look good until a white like feather appear before me. I wasn't sure on what it was doing till my head started to feel funny. I looked around and everyone else were doing the same thing. Though I notice Kakashi making a hand signal and realized that it was a Genjutsu. Next thing I know I went into a sleep like state.

-Night Time-

I woke up and found myself on Kakashi's bed. I rub my head and wondered what has happened. Then Kakashi walked in and I asked.

"Hey, what happened?"

"You were put under a genjutsu but everything is alright Rin."

"Alright but seriously what happen? I can tell you're holding something back."

Kakashi sighed and said.

"There was an attack on the village but not many people were harmed. The sand village tried to use Garrra as a trojan horse and summon the tailed beast he had. Though Sasuke prevented it from being summoned in the village, Garra still transformed."

"But how was he taken down?"

"It was none other than Naruto. He has become very strong and many people know what he has done."

"Wow that is amazing."

"However Rin, we soon found out that Orochimaru was also involved and in the end he killed the Third Hokage."

This stunned me to the core and was saddened to hear it. Then I started thinking that maybe if I wasn't put under the genjutsu than maybe I could have done something. But I guess this is how life chooses it's destiny for others.
