What's up Dravenites! So this fic isn't doing well but I have faith it'll catch on soon. Anyway please enjoy the second part of the previous chapter. This takes place like 2 seconds after the last chapter.
The trio stood in silence, only the sounds of music, sport , drunkenness and poor decision making could be heard.
Freddie looked at Melanie, who in turn glared at him, with a mix of anger and understanding. Gibby then broke the silence.
'' Dude, since when can you repulse women with a single sentence?'' Gibby half joked, he was fully aware of '' the incident''.
'' Not funny Orenthal'' Freddie glared at his friend.
'' Look Melanie, I swear, the incident was a long time ago, it wasn't even my fault I-
'' I believe you'' she interrupted.
'' Wait, you do?''
'' I do, I know enough about you to know that you aren't a cheater at all. However, in Sam's eyes, you're irredeemable.''
'' Should I go talk to her?'' Freddie asked.
'' No, I'll do it, if you go you'll have glass shards in your face'' Melanie half-teased.
The young woman walked out to see her sister staring at the Los Angeles night sky.
'' Wow, I've never seen you run that fast'' Melanie chuckled.
'' I-I can't believe it, I moved to LA to pursue my passion and get away from Freddie, now he's in LA as well?! What am I gonna do?'' Sam welled up.
'' Look, I'm not gonna get involved in this unless you want me to-
'' I don't'' Sam interrupted.
'' But I do know that LA isn't a small city, you don't have to have any contact with him at all, my ex-boyfriend David is in the city but I never see him.''
Sam smirked at her sister, '' you really are a great arguer.''
Melanie shrugged, '' I am a lawyer after all. Now, let's get home, you need to practice for your audition and I have to defend a guy who claims he did not snort cocaine in his ex-wife's bathroom.''
'' Did he?''
'' Oh God yes, the guy showed up to my office with the stuff on his face'' Melanie laughed.
Sam too laughed and the pair headed home.
-x-
'' Gah, I blew it!'' Freddie yelled, back at his and Gibby's house.
'' Yeah, you did'' Gibby agreed sipping his Wahu punch on the couch.
'' Wow, way to be supportive'' Freddie sarcastically remarked. '' Do you have any form of advice that could be helpful in this particular situation?''
'' Why're you asking me?''
'' Because you're the only one of my friends who's engaged, Carly and Brad decided a while ago that they aren't getting married and Spencer's single.''
'' Well'' Gibby stood up and put his hand on Freddie's shoulder,'' I suggest you do something spectacular and unorthodox.''
'' Like?'' Freddie asked, his brow furrowed.
'' I don't know, but I'd suggest something to make her forget that you cheated on her.''
'' I didn't cheat on her, Valerie kissed me.''
'' Hey, I'm just playing, I know you didn't do it. Sam doesn't trust you, nor does she want anything to do with you is all.''
for that one time…'' Gibby laughed.
Freddie went to his room and came back with the bat,'' I can start.''
'' Ok, ok, look, you know that secretary we have, David?''
'' Yeah, the guy who brings me custard filled chocolate donuts from the Kirspy Kreme across the street. What about him?''
'' Well he used to be Melanie's boyfriend, he told me when we smoked pot that one time- I mean when we definitely weren't doing drugs but were actually working on financial matters.''
'' Wait, so he can t ell me where Melanie lives, I can find out Sam's number, we can get back together and-
'' Easy Romeo, we need to first see if he'll give it out, she might've even changed her number.''
'' Gibs, I'm begging you, do it for me'' Freddie pleaded.
'' Deal, but you have to do something for me in exchange.''
Freddie looked puzzled, '' What?''
'' Well, you see, I'm kind of in trouble for smoking pot on company property. The board of directors is coming down hard on me, they need someone to prove to them I'm a decent CEO and that the pot was a one-time thing.''
Freddie was conflicted, on the one hand he might get back together with the girl he'd been thinking about for the last two years. On the other hand he would be lying to his bosses about Gibby. Gah, why was this so complicated?
Freddie sighed, '' I'll do it.''

The following day, Gibby asked David for Melanie's number. He was reluctant to at first ,but came around when Gibby threatened to fire him if he didn't.
Gibby sent the contact to Freddie who was overjoyed to receive it.
Right now Freddie was staring at his phone, unsure what he would say, how he would justify how he got Melanie's number or what his intentions were. David and Gibby were behind him, looking over his shoulder.
'' So what're you gonna do mate, ya can't just stare at that screen all day'' David said, in his British accent.
'' Yeah, you begged for this Benson, what's your plan?''
'' I-I don't know. I could just say hi or I could send a paragraph about why I'm contacting her or-
'' Oh for God's sake, give it here'' Gibby snatched the device from his friend and started to type.
'' And, send, there you go, it's done'' Gibby gleamed, giving the phone back. The text he had sent was simplistic yet effective. It said '' Hi, it's Freddie Benson''.
'' Dude, what did you do, oh this is bad, I'm rightfully and truly screwed '' Freddie panicked.
'' Relax lad, this'll work out, I mean you said that back at the Keg Melanie wasn't pissed at you'' David explained.
'' You're right, this isn't so bad'' Freddie said hysterically, which then turned into psychotic laughter.
'' We need to calm him down, what do you suggest?'' David asked.
'' This'' Gibby said as he walked over to Freddie's minifridge and pulled out a metallic bottle.
'' What're you doing?'' David asked.
'' Watch'' Gibby gave a small whack onto his friend's head knocking him out.
-x-
Freddie awoke on his bed to a massive headache and his two friends in front of him.
'' What-what happened?''
'' Well, you see, I-uh-
'' Gibby knocked you out'' David stated, as his friend kept stammering.
'' What! Why?''
'' you were acting hysterical, I did what I had to'' Gibby shrugged.
Sensing tension, David spoke, '' Anyway while you were knocked out, Melanie texted you back.''
'' What? Let me see'' Freddie took his phone and saw a text from the aforementioned girl.
'' Well, what does it say?'' Gibby asked.
'' It says to phone her'' Freddie said blankly.
'' Well, we'll go watch Disenchantment, you call Melanie'' David said as the two left the room.
Freddie sat up slowly as he was sure Gibby gave him a concussion. He then called the blonde.
'' Hey Freddie'' Melanie said cheerily.
'' Hey yourself, you called me?''
'' Yep, for two things. Thing 1, how'd you get this number?''
'' I, kinda asked David for it''
'' David who?''
'' Brown''
'' You got my number from my ex-boyfriend?! That is so weird, and wrong, and some other word I can't think of right now''
'' Sorry but I needed to talk to you''
'' That brings us to thing 2, I know why you texted me''
'' You do?''
'' Yep, you want to talk to Sam''
'' How-How'd you know?''
'' Lucky guess I think''
'' Well, can I talk to her?''
'' One on one? Not a good idea Benson, with my supervision yes''
'' Great, where should I meet you?''
'' I'll text you the address, see you on the date''
'' Ok, bye''
Freddie got up and walked to his friends. David was busy watching Disenchantment whilst Gibby had fallen asleep next to him.
David paused the TV. '' Well mate, what's the situation?''
'' She sent me an address to go to tomorrow.''
'' Good for you lad, if Gibby were conscious I'm sure he'd be thrilled.''
'' Thanks, I'm gonna get some Tylenol'' Freddie said as he walked towards the medication drawer.
-x-
Freddie was driven to the address which looked familiar to him.
'' Hey, isn't this the first place we looked at before settling?'' Freddie asked Gibby who had driven him.
'' Looks like it, anyway go on your date '' Gibby teased.
Freddie got out of Gibby's car and rang to doorbell, which was opened by Sam.
'' Hey Sam'' Freddie said.
'' Go to Hell'' Sam slammed the door in his face.
'' C'mon let me in'' Freddie pleaded.
'' Let him in Sam'' Melanie said to her sister.
'' What? Why?'' Sam asked.
'' Because she invited me'' Freddie said.
Sam looked as if she was going to garrot her sister.
Reluctantly, Sam opened the door and let her ex-boyfriend in.
Freddie followed Melanie into their living room and sat down.
'' So, you two, start talking and ignore me '' Melanie said, a large squirt gun next to her.
'' why do you have a squirt gun?'' Freddie asked.
'' If anything happens that could lead to any form of damage, verbal or otherwise, I'll shoot you.''
Freddie started to speak. '' So, it's been a while huh? Are you still dancing?''
'' Yes'' Sam said blankly.
'' Good, now Sam, you ask Freddie a question'' Melanie said.
'' Fine, how many girls did you cheat on me with?''
'' I told you, I never kissed Valerie, she kissed me''
'' Oh sure she did'' Sam spat back sarcastically.
'' Why don't you believe me, I swear you are such a –
'' Such a what? Say it!'' Sam said, her teeth grinding.
'' A toolbag, seriously what do I have to do to get you to believe me?''
'' Nothing, I know you did it Freddie, I'm not blind!''
'' That's it!'' Melanie yelled, she then squirted the pair with water. '' Sam Freddie never kissed Valerie.''
'' How do you know?''
'' Because I was there! When I was in law school I worked as a bartender, I saw everything, the only reason I never told you was because I knew you wouldn't be able to handle it.''
Sam looked shocked, how would she get used to this whole new world she was living in?
Well Dravenites what do you think?
