Chapter 8- Battle between Old Friends

I sat here wondering what could be happening with everyone on the other side. I wanted to look for an exit but this place just seems endless. Still I can't help but think of what I can do for him. I feel as if I can still save him from this hatred he's having. Just then a gust of wind hit behind me. At first I thought it was Obito but instead it was Kakashi. I ran over to him to see what happened.

"Kakashi!? What happen?"

"Rin! I'm glad you're safe. So I am guessing this is the dimension he's been using."

"Yeah it looks like it. How did you end up here?"

"The nine tails took over Naruto for a second and well he gave me some chakra because I was low and next thing you know he threw me to Obito who then took me here."

"Kurama took over Naruto?"

"Yeah something like that but look."

He pointed at something and it was a body part. It was Obito's lower half. That is when it hit me.

"Wait, that's how our attacks kept phasing through him. He sends his body to this dimension to withstand the hits."

"Yeah and if I do this."

Kakashi punched his stomach.

"I'm sure he can still feel it."

Kakashi laid another punched and Obito went to his knee and his face was exposed.

"Yeah you felt that one pretty good. Here's another!"

He then punched Obito in the face and he was pushed back and his body disappeared. Kakashi with his fist clenched was filled with anger. I walked over to him and hug him from behind.

"It's okay Kakashi. I'm pretty pissed off too but we can't let our anger take over."

"I know Rin but I tried hard to keep you alive that day. Just to keep his promise only to know that it didn't mean nothing. Even if you survived he's still willing to go down this path."

"I know but we can still save him. If Naruto is able to change the hearts of others then Obito should be possible."

"Hmm."

Kakashi stayed silent for a bit then he got up and his eye turned into the Kamui.

"I'll be back Rin. Do you mind staying here longer?"

"Sure and I think it'll be best to protect Isobu and I."

"Alright. I'll try not to take long."

Kakashi left the dimension and once again I was alone. As I was waiting I started to think of a plan to getting Obito's head back to normal.

"Isobu is there may be a jutsu you know that can fix someone's head?"

("Hmm, that sounds something that isn't real. Though you could just hit his head.")

"I'm done hurting him. He's been through enough and I just want to save him."

("What about Kakashi?")

"I am not sure on what he's doing but I hope it's nothing bad."

-Few minutes later-

I lay down waiting for something to come by. I wondered if everything is fine out there and that maybe I should have gone with Kakashi. Just then a gust of wind came in and who came through was both of them. Kakashi was holding Obito and I called out.

"Kakashi!"

They backed off each other and Obito fell to the ground. Then Kakashi charged towards him with a Chidori and I notice what he was going to do.

"Wait, Kakashi!"

But he didn't hear me and launched his hand forward. Though he stopped inches away from taking Obito's head off. Obito laughed.

"So there's still doubt in your heart. You've had several chances to kill me if you really wanted to."

Kakashi stayed silent.

"Is it guilt? Are you feeling remorse over the fact that you couldn't protect Rin and keep your promise to me?"

Kakashi made a sad expression.

"Obito…let's stop this already. We don't-"

In an instance Obito got up and went through Kakashi's hand. I screamed out.

"NNNOOO!"

Kakashi was shocked at what he was witnessing.

"I know everything! I know that Rin deliberately ran into your lightning blade! And I am disappointed in her for that. Though no matter what you say to me, you're still an impostor who couldn't protect Rin."

"Obito please stop!"

I was beginning to cry.

"You are talking nonsense now. Why can't you just be happy that I am alive!?"

"Oh I am happy Rin but to satisfy my happiness I must make sure nothing else can harm you. Especially someone who broke their promise."

Obito walked backed and removed himself from Kakashi's chidori.

"Obito remember Naruto's words? That it is more painful to not have real comrades inside one's heart."

"Then look for yourself!"

Kaksahi and I made a wide eye look.

"Obito…what happen to you?"

"A lot that I don't want to discuss with you, Rin. But there's nothing in my heart. So don't feel too guilty you two. You may have always remembered the old me but now he's just dead."

"Obito you're not gone. You are still alive! You can make these delusions your beliefs but that hole will never be filled!"

"Things don't always go as plan. If only I could have gotten there in time things could have been different!"

"Obito don't do this. You can still change I know it."

I got up.

"I thought my life was going to be hard knowing you were gone yet everything turned different. I've gotten to know many strong people who looked up to my future. I thought that my future was just going to be me but now I want you to be there. So please come back to us!"

"Hmm, I'm sorry Rin."

Obito threw a black metal poll towards me and it penetrated through my abdominal. The pain was intense and I tried to remove it but my body wasn't moving. That's when I realized it was the same during the time with Pain. Obito has control over me with this metal rod. I looked over then to see Kakashi readying a chidori while Obito took out a Kunai like sword. They charged towards each other and I tried to get up before they kill each other but I couldn't do anything. A big crash hit and I look in horror to see both of the people I cared for die before my eyes. Tears were forming in my eyes and I called out.

"Obito! Kakashi!"

Then a voice rang out.

"Obito…enough of these tricks. It's hurting Rin."

Then their bodies before me disappeared then reappeared.

"Genjutsu?"

("Rin use my power to free yourself!")

I put some of Isobu's chakra into my arms and managed to take the poll off of me. I threw it to the ground and I tried to get up but fell to my knees. Kakashi looked over to me and said.

"Rin I don't want you to see what's going to happen. I'm sorry but I am sending you to Naruto."

"Wait no don't-"

But Kakashi used his Kamui and I was transferred back to the real world. I was in the air falling to the ground. I wasn't prepared but I was grabbed by a yellow hand and I knew it was Naruto. He set me down on the ground and asked.

"Are you okay Rin?"

"Yeah I am."

I looked around and noticed that the Shinobi forces are all here. Then I saw it. The ten tails. I ignored what was happening between Obito and Kakashi and got myself straight. I got up and turned into my tailed beast form.

Naruto fell to his knee and I check on him.

"What's wrong Naruto?"

"I was using Kurama's power to keep everyone safe from the ten tails attack but used up a lot of chakra. So I'm pretty beat right now."

Sakura then landed next to him and began healing him.

"Geesh, you should be more careful."

"I know."

Then the ten tails began charging up a tailed beast bomb but it was nothing like any bomb that I can recognize. Then I notice eight tails and jumped towards him and landed next to him.

"Bee you have any ideas on how to take care of that?"

"I'm not so sure but with a combined attack we may bring it back."

"Alright then let's try our tailed beast bombs."

Bee and I began charging our tailed beast bombs. The ten tails launched its attack and so did we. Our bombs collided but the ten tails attack managed to break through and came forward towards us. The shinobi people formed a line of mud walls yet it wasn't enough to hold it back. It was close to hitting us but Bee and I jumped in the way to hold the attack. I was using the shell of Isobu to hold it back while Bee was using Gyuki hands to hold it in place. Gyuki spoke to me.

("Rin! We must send this somewhere off in the distance! If this were to go off then everyone around here will be obliterated!")

"What!? Are you serious!?"

"Yes, the shinobi's communication line was destroyed with this kind of attack!"

"Damn, what else did I miss!?"

"Not much but concentrate!"

I began trying to push it off to somewhere far but couldn't think of anywhere that could be safe from the blast radius. Out of nowhere the bomb disappeared before our own eyes and I was curious to know what happened. Then I sensed another presence next to Naruto and it was him. I reverted to my human form and landed next to Naruto. We both looked at each other.

"Sensei?"

"Rin?"

We stared at each other and I gave him a hug. He hugged back.

"Wow I didn't know you survived."

"I know and that's a story for another day."

"Alright and oh brace for impact."

A big vibration shook the ground and a big aftershock hit us.

"What was that?"

"I sent the ten tails attack towards the ocean."

"The ocean?"

"Yes, now um Naruto is this perhaps your girlfriend?"

"Hmmm…yup she sure is."

"Like hell I am."

Sakura head-butt Naruto who was dazed by the hit.

"Sakura aren't you suppose to heal me?"

"Well then make sure you keep him in good condition. Oh and my name is Minato Namekaze. Now in the mean time we will take over."

"We?"

Then three more ninjas landed next to Minato. It was the first, second, and third Hokage.

"Lord Third!?"

"Ah Rin! I'm glad to see you're doing well. I can tell you have gotten very strong. Hiroshi was right to in trust you with the three tails power."

"Hiroshi? He trained you to use the three tails power?"

"Yes, Lord Second."

"Hmm, when we are done here then let's talk."

Then I noticed their eyes.

"Wait, who reanimated you four?"

"It was Orochimaru."

"What?"

"It's a bit of a long story but don't worry about it. It's good to know what side he picked."

"Oh well alright."

Then a loud voice ranged out.

"I've been waiting for you, Hashirama!"

Hashirama pointed at Madara.

"I'll deal with you later!"

Madara made a bit of a shock face.

"I have to stop the ten tails!"

Madara just smirked and sat down.

"After all…it's charging towards us."

Minato then looked at Naruto and said.

"Naruto, you've done well. Take a little break. Your friend will be here soon. He's our ally too."

I was wondering what friend he could be talking about but looking at Naruto I can only guess on who it was. Then the Hokage prepared themselves to go forward and Minato transformed. I recognize the chakra presence. Isobu spoke out to me.

("It would seem as if Minato transferred half of Kurama inside him.")

("Wow but when did he do that?")

("I'm not sure though this does bring a good advantage to the fight.")

I smiled and soon Minato and Lord second and third vanished instantly. Lord first stayed where he was and then called out a jutsu.

"Ninpou, Shisekiyojin!"

A red barrier formed around the ten tails. They trapped it inside. Then the First Hokage gave another chant.

"Senpo, Myojinmon! Ten Tails!"

Ten pillars fell from the sky landing on all the ten tails. I was amazed at the power of the four hokages. Just then he showed up.

"Sasuke?"

Everyone nearby turned to see the rogue ninja. I noticed him but didn't say anything. They all had a talked with Sasuke and he gave a talk about being Hokage. Which in my head felt odd. Still though everyone soon became motivated. Then team seven reunited once more stood before the ten tails with inspiration within themselves. The ten tails tried launching one of its attack but the barrier withstood the blast and instead the beast damaged itself. That's when lord first summoned wood clones of himself and the clones opened up parts of the barrier. I went into stage one of the chakra cloak. Soon everyone began charging with team seven leading the assault. Seeing them together like that reminds me of the time I had with Obito and Kakashi. I do hope though that nothing happens to both of them. I shook it off and kept charging. The ten tails then place its own army to defend itself. We collided with them and it was a big battle for sure. I punched a few down with ease and launched a water shuriken cutting down a few. I then noticed a puff of cloud filled the area and look over to see three giant figures. A toad, a snake, and a slug. Seeing this reminded me of the three way dead lock story. Looking a top I can see it was team seven that have summoned them. Naruto who's in his kyuubi chakra mode form went forward to reach the ten tails while Sasuke not far behind slithering pass the enemy. Sakura stayed behind and broke down lady Katsuyu to go and heal anyone that took more damage. This really motivated everyone and there I can see Naruto readying a giant Rasen Shuriken. Sasuke who I noticed seem to have unlock a new form readied a black like fire arrow. They launched their attack and it seemed to combine into a more impactful hit. The ten tails seem to be roaring in pain but then it detached that body part from itself. The flames continued on burning which brought some questions to my head. Still we had a fight to continue.

("Rin let's use the tailed beast bomb.")

("Alright.")

I turned into the tailed beast formed and began charging up. As I was concentrating a loud scream caught off my concentration. I recognize the voice and looked over to see him standing on top of the ten tails. I notice the black metal poles sticking out of his arm and a hole that was through his lower area. I couldn't help but wonder what Kakashi did to him. Obito began making a hand symbol and then the first hokage spoke out.

"Lads! Stop the jutsu of the one on top of the ten tails right now!"

Instantly Sasuke went forward and knowing what will happen to Obito, I made Isobu jump as far forward as he can. Sasuke ran into some trouble along the way and had to return his snake back home. I wasn't far behind and I was getting closer but then I saw him. Minato appeared instantly in front of Obito and sliced him clean with his kunai. I was shock to see that and landed next to them. I turn back into my human form and ran over to Obito. I looked down at his body which was lying face down on the ten tails. I went down to my knees called out to him.

"Obito…Obito…Obito!"

He didn't respond. I begin crying and looked over to Minato.

"Why did you do it Sensei!?"

He gave a sad look and said.

"I didn't know it was him. At first, I thought it was the masked man that removed the nine tails from Kushina. I fought him and placed a symbol on him. I used the Flying Raijin technique and well you saw what happen."

"I didn't want him to die like this. Not with anger or hate in his heart."

"I know Rin but he was being controlled by Madara so I had no choice. Though he seemed to be already dying be the look of his injuries."

Sasuke then landed next to us.

"Well that's disappointing. Though now all that's left to do is to seal the un-reborn Madara and the war will be over."

Then Obito spoke.

"What makes you think this war is over my fellow traitor?"

This made the three of us spooked and our area began shaking. I was confused on what's going on but Minato grabbed me and jumped up. Sasuke jumped as well though for some reason we were being pulled back. Luckily, Naruto grabbed us and let us down next to him. We watched as the ten tails was being absorbed into the body of Obito. Minato than asked Naruto.

"What's happening?"

"He shook off Madara's manipulation and was weaving the signs to do this from the beginning!"

The ten tails disappeared but left a white sphere floating in the sky. The sphere cracked and what appeared made me very worried. Not as much as Naruto though.

"That's the ten tails Jinchuriki!"
