Chapter 9- Living in a Dream

We all stared at Obito who gave off a worried feeling. He landed down on the ground and looked around. I couldn't help myself and I ran over to him. Naruto tried to stop me but was too late. I met him face to face. I put my hand on his face and called out.

"Obito?"

He looked at me and raised his hand but he gripped me around my throat. I couldn't breathe and it almost felt as if he was going to snap my neck. Though Naruto broke it off with his Rasengan. I fell to my knees and cough out for some air. Minato came to check on me.

"Rin, are you alirght?"

"Yeah I'm fine but what's wrong with him?"

"I don't know though something doesn't feel right."

We looked over to Obito who again was looking around his area clueless on where he's at. From a distance though I noticed Madara and First Hokage fighting it out. I ignored it then looked over to Obito and called him out.

"Obito! Snap out of it!"

"…..Rin?"

Then Obito's body began acting strange and we backed off. Minato explained.

"It would seem the Ten Tails hasn't completely synched with Obito just yet."

Obito started to scream out and his body began to get worse. I watched in horror as I'm stuck to wonder what is happening. Though Minato was readying an attack and charged forward. Then a white flash hit Obito's area and then smoke came. What we saw next shocked us. It was Obito though he seemed to be giving a different feeling. Minato was already close and tried landing a hit. Obito blocked it with a black pole he was holding. Obito swung his hand at Minato which cut his arm clean off. Minato returned to us in a flash.

"He got me but I'm okay."

"Are you sure about that?"

We looked to see a black orb attached to the missing arm of Minato. A white light flashed our area and I can barely see what was happening. The only thing I saw was Lord second taking the attack and sent it off to Obito. He returned and Naruto and I were impressed that he can use Minato's technique. Though he clarify that he was the one that invented it. Naruto's frog friend then asked.

"Did we get him?"

From a distance all we see is a big orb floating in the sky and soon it was removed and out came Obito who then began talking.

"I now have control over the ten tails power. I must really thank you Rin, for if it wasn't your voice that called out. I may not have gain my sanity back. Though this time I don't want you to take part in this war anymore."

He reached his hand out and I can feel myself getting pulled. My legs left the ground and Naruto tried holding onto me but it was no use. I was pulled to Obito and he grabbed me by my waist. I struggled to break free yet couldn't even budge.

"Rin, just relax and look at me."

I was too scared to do but my body moved on its own. I looked at him face to face and he gave me a kiss. I gave a shocked look and tried struggling again but soon I was losing my strength. I couldn't move anymore and I can see my eyes beginning to fade. He broke from the kiss and said.

"I'm only sending you somewhere else. I'll wake you up once I am done here."

I soon realized he put me under a Genjustsu.

-Years Later-

I find myself back in my room shaken up from a nightmare I just had. He walks into my room to check on me.

"Rin, are you okay?"

He sat next to me. I was holding my head as to what I was dreaming about.

"I don't know. I was having a dream about you, Kakashi and the other ninja's. Then I woke up from it."

"Here drink some water."

He handed me the water and I stared at it questioning it for no apparent reason. I blinked once then twice. I looked around and he gave me a confused look.

"Rin, seriously are you alright?"

"I don't know. Maybe I should see a doctor."

"Alright then let's go."

We got our things and headed outside. As we were walking I looked around once again and the village seemed to be looking fine. I mean hasn't it always been like that. We soon arrived and we sat down waiting for the nurse to call me in. I looked at him once more and he seemed a bit tired. I grabbed his hand and leaned on his shoulder. He smiled and did the same. The nurse soon called me and we headed on back. I got checked up and we were just waiting for the results. The doctor came in and gave the news.

"Everything seems to be alright with you Miss Nohara."

"Really? Then why do I feel so much in pain?"

"Could be your pregnancy?"

"My what?"

"Rin don't be silly. We have a child on board so maybe you're too stressed out."

This gave a lot of confusion in my head. I looked around and noticed something odd about the sink. I pointed it out.

"Why is the sink on?"

"Hmm, oh well I'm not so sure. Maybe the nurses forgot to turn it off."

The doctor went over to it and turned it off. I begin to panic a bit and was questioning my very surroundings. He didn't like what was happening.

"Rin, please calm down. It's just a simple sink."

I ignored him and ran out of the building. I ran all the way to the entrance and soon into the forest. I then ended up at a spot that I saw in my dream. I entered the cave and looked around for it. I remember where to go and it felt as if something was off. Then as I arrived at the spot, he was there. I was spooked.

"How did you get here?"

"This is where it was wasn't it?"

"What?"

"Rin, don't you remember. This is where Kakashi died."

"Wait, he's dead?"

"He pushed me out of the way so that I can live on and protect you. So that we can live a life together and remember him forever."

I closed my eyes and shook my head.

"No, no, no this doesn't feel right."

I opened my eyes and found myself in front of a grave. I looked down and read the name on the tombstone.

*KAKASHI HATAKE*

I just couldn't understand it and he appeared next to me.

"This is what could of happen though if our roles were reversed."

"Huh?"

"Rin I am sorry for the pain I caused you and Kakashi as well. I will admit that this is not real. What I am actually is the real Obito that you are calling out. The one that you knew back when we were kids."

Our whole area changed into a bright voided area. There I was turned into my younger self while I was staring at a young Obito.

"You mean that this is the real you?"

"Yeah the one you actually love."

I walked over to him and tried touching his face but my hand only went through him. He gave a sad expression.

"You see I may be the real him but he pushed me aside once he lost you. All that you are seeing is the anger and hatred that was built in. Soon to be sent out towards everyone."

"No, that's not true. I've known that there still some good within you. You just need to show yourself that things can get better."

He looked at me and said.

"How would I know things could get better? What if I lose you again?"

"I may have been weak back then but now I can protect those around me. Just this once for me, save yourself. Prove to me that Obito is the strongest Uchiha I know."

This gave him some inspiration. He smiled and said.

"Alright I will try. Thank you Rin."

"You're welcome. What will happen to me now?"

"I'll be honest with you. They have already taken care of me."

"What?"

"The Ten Tails within me was extracted and the tailed beast have all return."

"How long have I be out?"

"I'm not quite sure but he's now waking you up."

"He?"

Then a bright light filled my area and soon I slowly opened my eyes to the night sky. I see the full moon shining down below and next to me was him.

"Kakashi?"

"Yes Rin, it's me."

I sat up and rubbed my head.

"What happen?"

"It's over. The Ten Tails and Obito himself are finished."
My eyes went wide and looked over to see his body on the floor. He is back to his normal self. Then I noticed the tailed beast surrounding our area. I got up and walked over to Naruto and the others. Naruto was surprised to see me awake.

"Rin! How are you doing?"

"I'm alright. What about Obito?"

"He's alright. He's still alive that's for sure."

"Thank goodness."

"Here you watch over with him. I'm going to help take down Madara."

Naruto left and it was just Sensei and I. I sat down looking at Obito. I rubbed his hair that has turned white and gave a gentle smile. I looked over to Minato who was still missing his arm. I asked.

"Why isn't your arm growing back?"

"I'm not quite sure but it could have been something to do with the power Obito used."

"What happen exactly Sensei?"

"Obito fought hard but Naruto and Sasuke took him down along with their friends. It was an amazing fight to witness and I'm sorry that he put you under a Genjutsu."

"Its fine but I am glad this is going to be over."

"Don't count on it Rin."

Minato and I looked to who called me out and there we saw Obito's body get taken by a black shadow like creature. He made a hand signal and shouted.

"Art of Rinne Rebirth."

The Jutsu he called out confused me and soon a gust of wind blew from behind me. I was curious on what was happening and so I went over to see Naruto and Sai looking at Madara. I landed then asked.

"Naruto, what happened?"

Then I hear Madara speak.

"Ah yes, this is the form, the body I needed. It's not a battle without raging blood and a pounding heart!"

Then the next disturbing thing happen. Madara lost his eyes but was soon hit by a black flame. I looked up to see Sasuke riding one of Sai's art beast.

"Ancient relics should just butt out!"

"A brat who doesn't even come close to my level. You stole my line."

Naruto soon pointed out that he can absorbed ninjutsu. Madara then took off his armor he was wearing and went on about his plan. He made it clear that he was resurrected. In a fast speed he launched himself towards the three of us. He swatted Naruto far, then he kicked Sai sending him flying, and punched me in my gut sending me flying high in the air. I landed rough on the ground and struggled to get up. It happened to fast for any of use to notice him charging to us. Soon Madara began sucking out the First Hokage's chakra. He threw him aside and Sasuke landed next to him to lay down an attack. As that was happening, Naruto and I got up to join in but Madara unleashed a Jutsu that knocked us down. Soon our area was cover in smoke. We looked over to where Madara was and we heard him called out.

"I'll be taking you all on next you filthy beasts!"

Hearing that made me question what kind of person Madara is. Soon he went on the offensive and started attacking the tailed beasts in the area. Naruto was a bit shaken but was in good condition. I then called out to Isobu to see if he was still there.

("Isobu are you alright?")

("Yes I am. I'm glad to hear your voice once more.")

("Alright, let's go help your siblings.")

("Hmm, I'm all ready to go!")

I turned into the tailed beast form and so did Naruto as well. I landed next to beasts who have sent Madara into the air. Naruto who was controlling Kurama hit Madara straight to the ground. We all gather our tails and slammed it down where Madara was. Though it would seem Madara withstood it and backed off from our position. He stopped not too far from us and he just stood there watching us. But then we noticed a white figure appeared beside him. He put his hand up but Madara sliced his arm and attached it to his own missing arm. He put his new hand on his eye and there we all saw it. He has the one of the Rinnegan eyes. He soon broke into laughter which made me all too worried.

"Summoning Jutsu!"

What appeared before us was a statue that I only seen once. Though it seemed that the statue is missing its arm. Madara took notice to it but ignored it. Madara soon jumped up on top of the statue and he flicked his head forward. Out of nowhere all of us were hit by a mysterious force. Isobu shook his head and I checked on him.

("Are you okay?")

("Yeah but something else is coming!")

I looked to see a purple light shining from the mouth of the statue and then purple chains were shot out. It grabbed hold of all the tailed beast including me. Then we were being dragged to the statue. Isobu struggled to break free and I tried hard to think of something. I tried reverting to my normal form but it wasn't working. We were getting closer and then Isobu spoke out.

("Rin, listen well to me. I want you to not worry yourself but I am going to be extracted from you.")

("No Isobu, please let me try to do something!?")

("I know that you will begin to lose your life. Fear not because Gyuki told me a plan to keep you alive if this were to happen.")

("What is it then?")

("I'm going to disconnect one of my tails. After that you have to be quick and put your hand on it. Even for a second your life can be loss if you don't focus on the plan. Do not worry for Naruto. I believe something has come up to save him. Kurama has his own plans set up already. So promise me that you will do this?")

I shook my head and said.

("Okay, I promise I will.")

("Alright then I'll be seeing you later.")

Isobu used his tail to pull off one of his own tails and he threw it close. Soon I was pulled out of him and I felt an empty hole in my heart. I landed on the ground and I tried to get up but the pain was too much. Sai landed next to me and asked.

"Rin, are you alright!"

"Sai…eh…take me…to his tail."

I pointed towards the tail that was laying on the ground. Sai did so and carried me on his beast art. We arrived and I crawled my way to the part the end that was pulled out. I put my hand on it and soon I can feel my empty heart returning to life. I got up and let out some deep breaths. I looked at Sai and said.

"Thank you, you're a life saver."

"It's nothing but I'm not sure on Naruto. He seemed to be very hurt."

"I know but I believe his father is the only person that can save him."

"You think so?"

"I do. Now then you can go. I might be here for a while. I'm not sure how long though."

"Alright but be safe."

Sai left and I laid back on the tail. I sat down and rested my eyes. I soon fell asleep only to be woken by a sudden shake.
