Chapter 12- The Beginning

Leaving the village was a bit of a homesick for me yet I manage to make it. I made myself a nice home out in the forest near a suitable river. I navigated the river to insure that it led to the ocean in case I need to make an escape. Though it wasn't long till I stumble upon a young child. He seem to have wonder too far from his home. So I helped him out to return him to his family. I arrive at his home but with a shocking discovery.

"Please that's all we have."

"This isn't enough! Either give us what we want or we'll just have to burn this so called home of yours!"

I looked down at the child I was with who hid himself behind me. So I walked up to these so called thugs. They were surprise to see me and were taunting and threatening me. With quick ease I took them down easily. They left and I checked in on the child's mother.

"Is everything alright miss?"

"Yes and thank you. What is your name?"

"Hiroshi Senju."

"Oh my, are you related to Lord Second?"

"Well I guess he is very popular out here still."

I gave a big laugh and refocused on the woman.

"Who were those criminals?"

"I don't know, after my husband and I settled down here. They recently showed up saying that this is their land and we have to pay them up. For a few weeks we would be working hard to get some sort of money. In the end we couldn't keep it up. My husband tried stepping up to them but he was kidnapped. I haven't seen him since last week."

"You don't say? Do you possibly know where their base could be?"

"Yes but are you planning on going their alone?"

"Maybe but I have a friend that can help."

"Alright, their base is just up that river. You'll see a camp site that is set up."

"Thank you and I shall bring your husband back in safe hands."

I ran off not before hearing the wife yell out.

"Oh and his name is Satoshi!"

I left and once I was far enough, I entered the river and swam all the way up. It didn't take long for me to find their camp. This place sure is a camp for criminals. I exited the river and snuck my way through. Some were on guard but others were either asleep or drunk. It was easy to navigate and soon I found where they were keeping some hostages. I called out for him.

"Satoshi? Satoshi? Satoshi?"

Then I notice a man looking up and I silently walked over to him. I asked.

"Are you Satoshi?"

"Yes…who are you?"

"My name is Hiroshi Senju. Your wife sent me to come and rescue you."

He gave a sigh of relief knowing he is saved. I freed him from his chains and picked him up. I manage to sneak far enough from the camp so that we wouldn't be spotted. I set Satoshi down and gave him some food that I had and water. I turned around and began to walk back to the camp. Satoshi called out.

"Are the stories true about what you possess?"

I turn my head and gave a smile.

-Minutes Later-

I tied up the thugs and sent a bird with a message to my relative informing him of the criminal's location. I also release some hostages they had and informed them that help will be coming. I had them stay on guard as I left the camp.

I return to Satoshi and picked him back up. It took a while to return to his home since I wasn't using the river. Eventually we arrived and I called out the wife. She opened the door and was happy to see her husband but not as happy for the child.

"Daddy!"

"Yes son I am back."

"Thank the stars you are safe. I was so worried that you were long gone."

"I'm a strong warrior Serena. Nothing can take me down that easily."

I smiled by the sight of all this and began to walk back to my home. Serena called out to me.

"Excuse me um Hiroshi, would you mind staying for dinner? I made a delicious pork soup which of course is my husband's favorite."

I denied the offer then said.

"No, thank you. It is already late and I must return to my home. I hope for the two of you and your son to have a great meal."

I wave them goodbye and they did the same. I return to my almost completed home but I tore it down. I remove any kind of evidence of my involvement around these areas and soon I jumped into the river. I traveled up north more to find a more suitable place. That's when he called out to me.

("Why is it that you always leave one home to find another place to stay? I thought those people were fine.")

"I know but I want to find a place that isn't filled with danger. Plus with what I did to those thugs might alert some ninjas. I don't want to put them or others in harm's way."

("Hmm, I understand. I do hope we find a place to relax at.")

"You know you may be his other half but you're pretty friendlier."

("Ha, I'm am nothing but his equal self.")

"Alright friend let's concentrate on the water."

-A Month later-

I was still traveling along the way and it's not that bad. I had a few run in with some travelers but they just needed directions. I picked an apple from a tree and examined my area. Yes there are a lot of trees here yet not river stream. The closest river is not that far but still it feels beneficial. Isobu though told me he doesn't mind the distance. It's mostly a one high jump for him. So I began to work on the house. I summoned a couple of clones to get the exterior set up. Some clones and I went out to take down some trees so we can get a good small landscape. After we were done with that we took some woods from the trees and use them for the interior of my home. Within a few hours my home is finished. I looked over at the home I constructed and was proud of what I have made. I planted some seeds around a small garden I made. I used Isobu's water jutsu to get them set. The sun was still out and I began sniffing out for any nearby animals. Probably a sheep will do. I walked a bit west then east and finally south. I found just one and I brought it back to my home. I made a small fence for the animal and soon I began shearing it. It didn't seem bother by what I am doing to it so that's good. I feed the only animal that I had and went inside. I began working on the bed and next the pillow. I am quite skill on my craftsman work and was proud on how the bed turned out. I set down in the main bedroom and called it a day.

The next day I was awoken by the sudden noise of a rooster. Surprise to hear one near my home but it was a good alarm. I got up and stretched out. I ate what I had in my bag and opened the sliding door. I sat down and examined my area. The small garden I made won't be ready for the next few months possibly and the only animal I have will probably need a friend. Still seeing this was an improvement. I began to pull out my smoker till a loud scream came from a distance. I suddenly jolted up and ran over to the direction of the scream. I arrived and hid myself in the tree. I looked and it was a woman but she seemed to be injured. She had a bad claw mark on her arm and she seems to be beaten up. I soon heard a rustle in the bush and out came a wolf and its pack. They had her corner around a tree which was the tree that I was on top of. I jumped down and pushed them back with a powerful wind. The leader of the pack took notice of my threat and left with its pack following. I turn to the woman and put my hand out.

"Are you okay miss?"

She grab hold of my hand I picked her up but she fell to her knees. I checked on her and she seemed to have passed out. So I swept her under my arms and took her back to my home. I set her down on my bed and let her rest. I removed a portion of her clothes so I can check for any other wounds that may have appeared. Besides the claw mark, I did find a bite mark on her chest. So Throughout my day I patched this woman up and once I was done I let her be. I sat across from her to keep an eye on her. Soon though I close my eyes for a second till a sudden grunt came from the woman. My eyes quickly opened and I called out to her.

"Everything is alright. I brought you back to my home and patched you up."

She sat up and rubbed her eyes. She opened them and saw me. She looked around and notice her top was on a chair. She blushed and looked down only to see her chests have been bandaged up. So no panic was added but she did have questions.

"Where am I?"

"Like I said you are in my home."

"What happen to me?"

"You seem to have been attacked by a pack of wolves. I led them away but after that you fainted and once I brought you in I patched your wounds."

She gave a deep breath of relief knowing I saved her life. She turn to me and bowed her head.

"Thank you for saving me."

"It's nothing but why were you out here?"

"I was with a team and we were sent out to investigate a disturbance in the forest. But we were ambush by another squad and I was separated by them. I got lost and well you know the rest."

"A team so you must be from the hidden leaf?"

"Not really I'm a part of the Hidden Mist Village. My name is Nakabi Asutu and I'm with the Anbu division."

"Oh I'm surprise they let a very younger woman to join their ranks."

"I'm only twenty two but yeah I was a bit surprised."

"Hmm, alright then rest for today and we shall see how you are feeling by then."

"Alright and thank you for letting my stay in your home."

I gave a nod and left the room. I close the door and headed outside. I light my smoker and gave a frustrating sigh and thought.

("Of all ninjas to show up. It's someone from the hidden mist.")
